• Irish Sweetness

    Firstness. Okay.

A two interception day from Deiondre Hall please.

    • T’Challa

I look forward to when Kyle Fuller is playing again.

      • Johnnywad

        Why?

        • MB30SD

Exactly. Let’s cut bait on that dude. Bust.

          • Johnnywad

Outside of his first game off the bench in SF, I haven’t seen enough to be excited about. Throw in a bum knee and now we’re down to “meh”.

          • Big Mike

Need to find out more. 1.5 seasons isn’t enough arrow is down, definitely. But he’s better than the bottom of the position group. It’s the expectations of a first rounder that make hi. Seem expendable. Rookie contract is the time to do it. Every time a top pick busts we get a little further away from being good. With that said, secondary, then OL are my draft priorities.

          • Huge Bears Penis

wrong! the only B-U-S-T in regards to Fuller will be in Canton. FUTURE HOFer!!!

      • Irish Sweetness

I look forward to him earning his paycheck.

  • T’Challa

Is it wrong to root for your favorite team to play well while hoping they actually lose the game?

    • CanadaBear

Yes, yes it is. Get in line with the rest of us! I will be happy if they win or play well. Would prefer a great game where the Beloved come up just short.

      • Johnnywad

I think that’s what he said CBear.

    • Big Mike

That’s where I’ve been most of the season. Although winning is fun.

  • BearDown100393

    The Lions are dead.

    Long live Da Bears.

  • MB30SD

Fuck the Lions… I hope Stafford gets his dick knocked off on the field

    • CanadaBear

Ex-cheerleader. Good looking for sure but no thanks. I never could go the cheerleader route.

      • Johnnywad

Ahhh Cheerleaders. I went that route many times in high school. It’s like picking off the weak, slow one at the back of the herd. Except it’s tastier than the rest of the herd. Now long term…….a big “No Thanks”.

        • CanadaBear

Just too damn peppy for me!

      • AlbertInTucson

In the end, it didn’t work out for Johnny Morris.

        • CanadaBear

Throwback Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember watching him when I was a kid. Always liked him on TV.

          • AlbertInTucson

I saw him play twice at Wrigley in 1967.

    • Irish Sweetness

      • MB30SD

I did, as did HBO… It was glorious.

        Nice add.

  • BerwynBomber

“DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog You may think I’m nuts but with the Bills running attack, I really believe Cutler could put them over the top.”

    a) Cutler (as a starter) will only help a team which has a disastrous QB situation (CLE, NYJ, SF), b) Taylor would arguably beat him out for the job in BUF, and c) you’re nuts.

    #GoBears

    • Huge Bears Penis

Taylor hasn’t exactly been lighting it up on the field.

      • BerwynBomber

        Neither has Cutler.

Or to put it another way: Cutler had arguably his best year ever as a Bear last year, and Taylor still outperformed him.

Plus, Taylor is seven years younger.

        • Huge Bears Penis

True, I was more just saying that Taylor is not a lock to be on the Bills next year, from the sounds of it they have not been happy with him in BUF. If that is the case it just opens another possible ‘landing’ spot for Cutty or any FA QB.

          • BerwynBomber

Agreed about Taylor, BUT I believe he is on a successive one year deal type contract. He makes $18M a year but the Bills can walk at any time and not owe him a dime. At least that is the way I read it.

But then again, I don’t see Cutler in JAX either. Bortles is young and cheap, even if he strikes me as a young Cutler.

          • Huge Bears Penis

yep Taylor’s contract is very team friendly, structurally. However the Bills have a big decision this offseason with regards to Taylor. If they opt to keep him his 2017-18 years of his contract become fully guaranteed.

          • BerwynBomber

Ah, got it. Ok, that makes sense then as a possible landing spot for Cutty. Didn’t know of Taylor’s contractual kick-in.

I was only thinking in regard to the optional type/year-to-year contract, in which case they’d probably roll with him another year. He played well in ’15 and fell off a bit this year. Hence, would have been justifiable to pay him another year.

      • Irish Sweetness

He’s good though. Nobile, accurate. Needs a bit of time. There’s no way cutty takes over at Buffalo. NY? Yes. Matty, BM and Cutty, back at it.

        • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I already outlined team by team, QB by QB, how Cutler can easily be considered the 36th best option at QB in the NFL (including the rumored FAs like Romo, Glennon Garrapolo and draft picks)

          • Irish Sweetness

            I’ve got him about 15.

          • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

It wasn’t really ranking him (though I think he’s MUCH lower than 15), but considering the NFL realities.

Is Flacco, Alex Smith, Eli, Tannenhill, Bortles ,Tyrod etc better than Cutler? Doesn’t matter.

But what we do know is that most of those teams will likely prefer “their” guy over Cutler, and the draft is always good for adding (at least 2) new starting QBs.

          • BerwynBomber

Plus, except for Eli, Cutler is older than the guys you mentioned. And in some cases considerably older. And potentially coming off major shoulder surgery.

I see NYJ, ARI, SF and CLE as his best bets. BUF would seem an outside bet, given HBP’s news about Taylor’s contract.

          • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Yup. That age thing will def help cuz look at Stafford. Many considered Stafford a younger Cutty , but a new OC (or lack of Mega?) has made Stafford better hands down.

That might give hope for some other guys at similar crossroads like Bortles-Tannenhill-Tyrod.

The way things are panning out, the Browns and 9ers will likely draft their QBs, leaving Jets and possibly Jags looking, but I assume at least one team will gamble on Garrapolo or Romo, not to mention possibly Glennon.

It’ll be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

          • BerwynBomber

Well, in fairness to Cutty arguably his best chance to be a starter next year is here in CHI.

    • Irish Sweetness

Don’t WE have a running game?

  • CanadaBear

Jeff talking about a couple of talented malcontents on the Jets is nuts. If they are causing trouble now, why would they stay in line in Chicago?

    • BerwynBomber

Plus, if they’re big money FAs, I would be surprised if Pace goes that route. Especially after this year. Seems like he’ll hold off the big signing until we are ready to contend.

      • CanadaBear

Seems to be his MO. Totally OK going that route. If the coach was someone like Wanny I might give those guys somewhat of a pass but I don’t think Bowles is like that.

    • AlbertInTucson

Bring a big cart for all that baggage.

  • CanadaBear
    • Huge Bears Penis

sounds like they are just gunning for some trouble.

      • CanadaBear

I stopped going to Bears games 30+ years ago but I still remember more than a couple of fights. Who wouldn’t want to arm the combatants in a crowd of 50,000+ people?

    • BuddhaJoe

Pretty sure you’d be safer in Mosul if that passed.

It might give “butt shots” a new meaning over there though.

    • Sauron’s right eyeball

Proposing such legislation is designed to get people ginned up. Period. It’s called divide and conquer Canada. Something our queen is rather good at, old chap.

      • CanadaBear

What are 3 ignorant state politicians going to divide and conquer?

        • Sauron’s right eyeball

          The ignorant masses.

  • CanadaBear

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this, esp Irish!

    jim-mcmahon-bears-jersey-white-house.jpg

    • Huge Bears Penis

      that is an amazing link.

  • Big Mike

The Barkley era could be starting today. Bear Down MFers

  • BuddhaJoe

I will laugh my ass off if the Lions Lion themselves out of another one. I’d say it’d be nice to rub it in all my friends’ faces, but they’re all just waiting for the inevitable collapse anyway so it wouldn’t be any fun.

    • CanadaBear

I used to feel bad for Loins fans until they went to the playoffs a few years ago. Turns out they are just as miserable as BiQueens and Fudgie fans and a little more delusional.

  • Huge Bears Penis

no surprises here but Royal and Q are inactive today.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    BRAVERMAN!BRAVERMAN!!BRAVERMAN!!!BRAVERMAN!!!!BRAVERMAN!!!!!

  • BerwynBomber

    Riddick inactive for DET.

Levy active (first time since W1).

    • CanadaBear

      That’s big!

    • Huge Bears Penis

I think they signed Joke Bell last week.

  • BerwynBomber

Anyone following this Will Smith trial? I had no idea courts were in session on Sunday. I assume this must be a state-to-state/LA thing.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I love how they’re saying Det is “legitimate” now. 7-1 last 8 games (I’m guessing that ONE was us).

After they lose no one will assert they’re still legitimate.

    • BerwynBomber

Pie-face is playing well and they have two (supposedly) smart coordinators. Plus, their D has even been coming on.

That said, every NFC team but DAL and SEA is a question mark.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

This is where I respond, “How good can they be, they lost to us!?”

Even SEA has question marks, namely that Oline and no Earl Thomas, but much like the Pats, they seem to just keep chugging regardless of what holes they have to fill.

DAL will be interesting, I still feel that cover-who will be exposed by a good QB that will limit their O but hasn’t quite happened yet. That D is better when Lee is in, but he’s an inj waiting to happen, and when it does, that D will bend too much.

        • BerwynBomber

Yeah, Lee’s the Chris Conte of LBs.

DAL, though, keeps passing every test. That O-line and Sauce’s defensive touch seem to be enough. Though if you remember, two years ago their all-world O-line got its ass handed to it by none other than DET in the WC round, even though DAL/Romo finally pulled one out. Then again, DET also had Suh back then.

  • Irish Sweetness

I bet you we beat the Lions today.

I’m wearing my David Fales Tee but no underpants.

    You’re all horny now.

  • Irish Sweetness

If anyone likes watching a good fight … and if you missed Cub Swanson v Doo Ho Choi at UFC 206 … watch it on MMA-CORE.

    • BerwynBomber

Yeah, heard it was a fight of the year contender.

      • Irish Sweetness

It would be up for fight of the decade for me. The Korean kid is tough as nails.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

hmmmm last 6 games, Loins allowed 16 points per.

What they lack in strength, they make up for in savvy.

Pretty sure that’s a Latin maxim.

Should be good test for Barkley.

    • Irish Sweetness

Is Ansah’s ankle better? I thought he was doubtful.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

        I hope he is healthy.

Need to also find out of our OTs need upgrading through the draft.

      • BerwynBomber

        Don’t know, but Levy’s back.

And they have two PB-type DBs in Quinn and Slay.

    • BerwynBomber

Yeah, if Barkley keeps his TOs below two it could be impressive. In fact, even two might not be that bad given the proper context.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Yeah, I always judge TOs by context.

When the INTs are to fat guys or roving LBs that apparently are invisible, those are bad.

If it’s off a WRs hand or hail mary’s, meh.

Barkley seems to display good pocket presence, and behind a solid run game, should be enough to at least keep Barkley relatively clean to make better decisions, though honestly, I wouldn’t mind some pressure on him.

Would like to see how he responds to that.

  • BearDown100393

    Jim Caldwell shaking hands.
    Lions Players: Whatever

  • BerwynBomber

Why is this game on CBS? Since when did they start televising all NFC affairs on Sundays?

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I was curious about that too.

  • BerwynBomber

    McPhee made that sack happen.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Nice pinching by Floyd and McPhee.

Good to see McPhee a bit more nimble, and Floyd throwing up his arms like a pro to draw attention to the obvious 2nd hold.

  • BearDown100393

Lions don’t look prepared. Good job Caldwell, good job.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Gotta admit tho, Lesbo does indeed look accurate in that O.
He’s not holding on to the ball too long and looking for bombs.

  • BearDown100393

    Barkley to Brown.
    Outstanding 3rd down completion.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    Da Divinci Code!

  • RenoBear

    Gotta say… I love Barkley’s mechanics

    • BerwynBomber

Yup, rock solid stationary mechanics. Much like Palmer’s, or back in the day, Aikman’s.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    3rd and 1, trips?

How about putting in a FB and at least make them think run?

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    That’s a new one.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    false start.

And that’s why we always have to settle for FGs.

    Let’s hope they overcome it.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

      followed by delay of game.

        #BirdCage

  • Huge Bears Penis

    BARTH!!!!!

  • BerwynBomber

Bad pass on 3rd and 15. Lucky that wasn’t picked. The second down throwaway was nice though.

  • BuddhaJoe

Ugh, way to kill a promising drive. At least they got some points.

    • BerwynBomber

Rookie mistakes with Barkley and some of theses dudes. And that’s okay (for a spell) considering their experience.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

That stadium seems kinda loud too.
        They’re obviously pumped.

Good test in a hostile environment

        • BerwynBomber

Yup, noticed the same: natives at Ford were pumped.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Barkley got semi-lucky on that throw. He either didn’t see the Lion or thought he could squeeze it in.

Luckily, he didn’t throw it behind, so his accuracy helped a lil there.

    • BerwynBomber

Agreed. But the second down (legal) grounding showed some smarts.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Yeah, it looked like Howard held the screen too late, and it fucked up the timing.

Also gotta remember, we’re playing with backup Oline.

        Is Whitehair in?

  • Huge Bears Penis

that NFL/Verizon commercial with Mathews annoys the crap out of me. He would have been down by contact, it was not a TD. Just shows the NFL doesn’t know the rules and has crappy Refs

    • WP4Life

And they LOVE the fudge. Adds to my Hate even more.

    • BearDown100393

Quick first quarter. That happens when you have a 8 minute fg drive I guess

    • Huge Bears Penis

      WINNING!

      • RenoBear

        Damn right

  • madscout12

That’s it. Get under lesbo’s skin. Maybe he’ll remember he’s a middling QB again and throw us some.

Rember Lions…you’re supposed to be shitty. And you’re supposed to lose to the Bears.

    • BearDown100393

      He’s got a finger now.

  • BuddhaJoe

    Good pocket presence.

    • BearDown100393

Hung back, stepped up, no panic, made the throw.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

We did ok last drive, but gotta finish.
I wonder if Birdcage will go quick tempo. That seems to work for Barkley, but maybe they want to try the run first.

  • BerwynBomber

Play-action from our own five with Barkley? THAT was ballsy.

  • BearDown100393

This guy normally broadcast golf or something?

  • Huge Bears Penis

DAMN IT BARKLEY!! Would have been a TD if it was accurate to BRAVERMAN!

  • madscout12

..and a hold…and a block in the back.

  • Irish Sweetness

So Barkley’s gone at the end of the season?

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Unless he really does turn into Kurt Warner, I doubt it.

Most likely he and Hoyer will compete for starting job in Chi town next season.

      • madscout12

I’d like Hoyer gone as well. There’s not a reason to hold onto him. We know what he is.

Also, that implies we drafted a QB or two. Preferably two.

    • Huge Bears Penis

absolutely, he can’t hit their best receiver.

    • BearDown100393

Only to Hawaii. And then back to Chicago.

      • Huge Bears Penis

        why Hawaii?

        • BearDown100393

          Scratch that. Orlando.

      • Irish Sweetness

        He won’t be under contract.

  • beninnorcal

Holding penalty declined? What the fuck was that?

    • EnderWiggin

And that is why you don’t decline that. WTF?

      • beninnorcal

I get they that technically got a sack there, but they gave up 7 yards by declining.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Fox figured 2nd and 13 better than 1st and 20?

I can only hope Fox is trying to tank and not that stupid.

  • madscout12

Remember, Lions, you’re a shitty team. Remember.

  • BearDown100393

    Don’t wake up Jim Caldwell.

  • BerwynBomber

Porter almost had a pick six there. Excellent read/anticipation.

  • Huge Bears Penis

that Kwitakcsoidki guy seems to pick up screens pretty good so far.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    on who!

  • BearDown100393

Pick a team to flag. Any team.

  • BuddhaJoe

WTF was that?! They held at least two defenders on that play.

  • madscout12

Fuck off…Floyd got held like a new born baby.

  • BerwynBomber

Questionable call by Fangio. The pass rush has been effective. Only sending three there was playing with fire. And we got burned.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    3rd and 17.

    Fangio only sends 3 guys.

    That’s what happens.

  • BerwynBomber

Nice play by Callahan. I can live with him and Porter as our starting CBs next year.

    • Huge Bears Penis

surprised Callahan did not get injured.

      • BerwynBomber

Yeah, that’s a concern but so far he’s been sturdier than Hall or Fuller.

    • Irish Sweetness

God no. Not Porter. Liability around fast receivers on go routes. Hall can handle those.

  • Irish Sweetness

    Who held?

    • Huge Bears Penis

      3 guys on Detroit.

    • beninnorcal

      Lenny Floyd GOT held.

  • madscout12

    Detroit gifted 3 so far.

    • Irish Sweetness

And we were at their 10 …

  • Irish Sweetness

It seems folk assume Barkley is at our disposal next season. I don’t see Pace giving him 18M dollars.

    • madscout12

It shouldn’t take 18M, and if it does…good luck team that signs him

      • Irish Sweetness

You know somebody will, look at Osweiler. Nice to have Shaw and Fales around if he does get signed.

        • madscout12

Osweiler was a little different. And I don’t see a Sunday night football against the Pats coming up.

        • Johnnywad

LOL Irish you bastard. If Fales and Shaw are our security blanket, I’m already out for next year.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

      No one’s paying him $18M.

He’ll be lucky to get $5M and an actual chance to compete to start.

      • Huge Bears Penis

i figured he would be in th 7-8 mill range.

        • Huge Bears Penis

if he plays good to close out the season

    • beninnorcal

Yeah, if he plays out the season and does ok or even good, it’ll be interesting to see how Pace handles that.

    • BearDown100393

      Cleveland would pay double.

      • Irish Sweetness

Trubisky or Garret for them? If they have RGIII/Kessler they might want to beef that line up.

        • BerwynBomber

ESPN reported today that CLE has major wood over Garret. But who knows what to believe?

          • Huge Bears Penis

i wouldn’t be surprised if CLE makes a play for McCarron or Garoppolo

          • BerwynBomber

Yeah, that would make sense. Wonder how much McCarron would cost?

  • BerwynBomber

Couple of free off-sides Barkley has not taken advantage of. Then again, a bit of a big ask. Even a ten year vet like Cutler often misses those.

  • Irish Sweetness

It’s amazing we’re even in this game with y’know … a backup team.

  • RenoBear

Bellamy… I don’t care if you’re a special teams ace, you suck balls as a WR. A good receiver catches that

    • Irish Sweetness

He can make circus catches or have a nightmare.

    • madscout12

Hell, a decent WR catches that. That ball was on the money and he had all the time in the world.

  • madscout12

Sigh. Back to incompetence at WR.

    • Irish Sweetness

In fairness, Barkley has had no time to develop any synchronicity with these boys. Drops aside.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

        syncing is about timing.
Like Fox said, they get open.

They just can’t catch a cold in Antarctica.

  • BerwynBomber

Although of the last few weeks that was one of the least objectionable of Bellamy’s incompletions.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    holding in the backfield!!!!

  • Cubsnlinux

What the hell is wrong with Porter

    • Irish Sweetness

He’s a liability on our team and has been for a long time. #Toast, I’d go long at him all day.

      • Johnnywad

Shit, he’s been the best corner on the team two straight years. The shiniest of turds

        • BerwynBomber

He’s a solid #2. I assume Irish once saw him on make two bad plays and he stands in the way of one of his preseason heroes.

    • BearDown100393

      He wants his $70,000

  • Irish Sweetness

There he is …. doing his thing.

  • Cubsnlinux

    Ebron Bellamied that catch

  • Cubsnlinux

I am pleasantly surprised by the bebeloved. Playing with backups of backups but showed up to play

  • madscout12

    Why is the clock stopped?

    • madscout12

On that first after the Boldin catch and after the PI, clock should have been running.

  • BearDown100393

    Block in the back

    • madscout12

Just saw it. They better call that.

      • BearDown100393

        They didn’t.

      • madscout12

The line judge was right there.

        • Huge Bears Penis

that line judge is a woman, so she was probably looking at her nails.

  • BerwynBomber

Oh, c’mon. There was no OH on that play? Please.

    • madscout12

Because it is the Bears. No teams hold the bears. Doesn’t happen.

  • Cubsnlinux

Tracy Porter likes that high draft pick

  • BuddhaJoe

Touching the receiver bad, dragging down the rusher fine.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Lol embarassing

  • Irish Sweetness

    Hall should get a pick.

  • madscout12

They fucking blow it dead after he crosses the first.

  • beninnorcal

Finally call a hold after missing several on this drive. This drive is fucking bullshit.

    • madscout12

Both drives have been bullshit. It should be 3-0, Bears.

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

        3-0
        #domination

        • BearDown100393

          Playoff football

  • BearDown100393

    Jim Caldwell’s alive after all.

    • beninnorcal

Definately has the refs believing in his team.

  • BearDown100393

The Penguins want their 90s goal siren and Song2 back.

  • willbest

I have been at a recital has this been a defensive slugfest or just a shit show?

    • BearDown100393

Not sure. I wasn’t at the recital.

      • willbest

        Cute

  • RenoBear

Train whistle?? What the fuck is that? Douche bags

  • EnderWiggin

Ref with boobs. I could get used to that.

    • BearDown100393

Gross. The dude is 70 years old.

  • BerwynBomber

HJQ was actually having a decent game until that. But the refs are more to blame on that drive. Some blatant offensive holding going on.

  • madscout12

    Absolute fucking bullshit.
    Several missed holding calls.
    2 missed clock runs.
    Horseshit.

Lions gifted 10 points so far.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Lions are holding on every play.

The refs should just keep flagging them until they STOP holding cuz that’s some B.S.

      • madscout12

        This.

“There’s holding on every play. They can’t call it all the time”.

Um, yes they can. And if they do, players will stop holding.

  • BuddhaJoe

Goddamn it Fox, enough with the gutless bullshit. Call a TO and take a shot downfield. Loser coach.

    • BerwynBomber

I’d excuse the conservatism if we were actually playing for the post-season, but in a game like this?

      • BearDown100393

        We are.

  • WP4Life

    Victory Bears 17 kittens 16.

  • BearDown100393

Negan would make a great special teams coach.

    • BuddhaJoe

Only if he can let the gunner use Lucille.

  • BearDown100393

    Spero Dedes?

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

The Barkley of play by play

      • BearDown100393

Dedes is going to call the Super Bowl?

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

      Probably wears his hat backwards.

  • BearDown100393

The Bears are going to beat the Lions. However Fox will need to come up with a hell of a lot of adjustments to overcome the officials.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    Just. Kneel.

  • BuddhaJoe

Damn Bellamy, drop the easy ones and grab that one!

    • Irish Sweetness

He can ball when he wants to.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I swear our WRs only catch when they have to leave their feet.
If it hits them between the hands that’s when they drop it.

  • BearDown100393

Josh Sitton still enjoying Thanksgiving apparently.

  • madscout12

Which is it…are we calling holding or not?

    • BearDown100393

Against the Bears – yes. Against the Lions – no.

  • BerwynBomber

    Touchback Pat. He’s like clockwork.

  • EnderWiggin

Now we know that 1st and 20 is better than 2nd and 11. Accept the hold!

    • madscout12

They have to call another one for us for that to happen. I have my doubts.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Pat O’Donnell ever pin a team deep? – Jeff

    Twice, that I can remember.

And as I said, we’ve punted A LOT.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

You know the Lions are gonna fucking throw quickly, Fangio.

Maybe defend those short routes, eh?

    • BerwynBomber

I’m still ticked about that 3rd and 17 prevent shit.

  • madscout12

Every play. Dudes have lions hanging on their pads.

  • EnderWiggin

Once again, our opponent makes halftime adjustments, while we just stay the (losing) course.

  • BerwynBomber

Prater and that Janakowski-like leg. Doesn’t help.

  • Sauron’s right eyeball

Hahahahaha. Gordon carried off the field and Julio ruled out with a sore toe. NB not having any luck against Butch. Lol

    • EnderWiggin

I think Shady slipped Palmer a $10 bill before the game today.

      • Sauron’s right eyeball

        Lol

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I have my own inj to worry about.

      Fudge.

Haha. It’s quite entertaining watching my double cross bear such fruit.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    Keep hearing Bears play hard.
Know what they don’t do? MAKE PLAYS.

  • madscout12

Gotta string some plays together, offense.

  • Huge Bears Penis

lets change things up and go no huddle this series.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    Clutch

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Told u they only catch when they leave their feet!

    • beninnorcal

Problem with that, as the announcers noted earlier, is that you have to keep your feet on the ground to make some catches, like the one on the left sideline on 3rd and long.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

They should just jump anyways, like a jumping jack catch.

  • RenoBear

    BOOM

  • beninnorcal

    There’s still life.

  • madscout12

Hell yeah. Let’s take it to these chumps. Playoffs my ass.

  • BerwynBomber

Both Barkley and Howard playing very solidly again.

D needs to get off the field quick.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Let’s hope that D feeds off the big play.

Fangio has to become more aggressive.

      Lesbo cutting up that secondary.

      • Irish Sweetness

He won’t though, and I hope he’s gone at the end of the season.

        • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Yeah, I don’t think Fangio has the stones to dial up blitzes until the Lions are in the redzone.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Fuck it. Just bomb it out in that quick tempo O.

I sorta trust Barkley now with decision making and I can only assume the drops will, um, drop.

  • beninnorcal

O-line keeps making beautful plays then getting called for drive-killing holding penalties.

  • willbest

I guess Barkley only likes second half football

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I think that was Barkley’s best throw thus far. Between the S and CB in that small window.

That’s an NFL throw right there.

  • BerwynBomber

Nice shoestring by Willie. That might have gone for another 20 yards.
    C’mon, D. Need a stop.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    need a turnover!

  • BerwynBomber

    D hasn’t had a non-scoring series since the 1st Q, right?

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

It’s a Bear rule that whenever we score, we must allow the other team to march down the field and score and deflate whatever momentum we built.

Let’s see if Bears can buck that trend.

  • madscout12

Weak. He was in the pocket.

  • RenoBear

    Turn. The fuck. Around

    • madscout12

I get it. He’s gotta turn around. But the WR hands were all over the DB.

      • RenoBear

I know. Just can’t give the refs any reason to call it, you know? Sucks. Loving the puck in the end zone though!!!

  • Huge Bears Penis

we really need some DBs that can play

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

      I’m not sure it matters.

NONE of them turn their head or play the ball.

I used to think it was just Fuller, AKA neckbrace, but if ALL of them do it, must be coaching.

      • Huge Bears Penis

or it could be that they all suck

  • RenoBear

Hicks is such a bad ass

  • BearDown100393

    Season saving interception.

  • madscout12

Fumble or a pick would be nice.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    needed that!

  • madscout12

    Hell, yeah.

  • BerwynBomber

Did Callahan get a hand on that?

    • madscout12

Yes. Was tipped before it hit tate.

  • willbest

    Bears are division wreckers

    • BearDown100393

      winners

    • madscout12

Next week, we need to wreck GB’s season. Make them 500 for the year. Football purgatory.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

      We’re like the Rams.

      Only beat division.

      Suck otherwise.

      • Irish Sweetness

We’re a long way from winning this game boys.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

lol bounced off of Tate’s chest for a TD, but I’ll take it!

Didn’t Tate get benched against us the first time? lol

  • willbest

When did they add under pressure?

  • BearDown100393

    Finally

  • Huge Bears Penis

    Hey Howard caught one!

  • madscout12

    Break a tackle, Langford.

  • willbest

Damn. D gonna need to do it again

  • BearDown100393

Inside the 10. Need a 3 and out. Playoffs on the line.

  • BuddhaJoe

Got ’em deep, time for the D to finish and actually get to these guys.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

The D didn’t exactly stop Stafford last time.

Was a close tipped pass that ricocheted off of Tate’s facemask and a lucky bounce.

Need to mix up coverages, disguise, or even blitz. Mess up Lesbo’s rhythm

  • BearDown100393

The Lions oddly have been able to run through the first tackle against our defense. Instead of getting the stop on the line scrimmage, it is gain for 3 or 4 yards. And that has extended Detroit’s time of possession.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    FUCK YEAH!!!!!

  • willbest

    Zomg

  • BerwynBomber

    LeBlanc, baby!

  • BearDown100393

    LeBlanc did something!

  • Huge Bears Penis

    Stafford being Stafford!!

  • BuddhaJoe

Holy shit LeBlanc! That’s how you redeem yourself.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    LeBlanc LeYes!

  • madscout12

Hell, yeah! Bear Down! You suck, Lions.

  • BearDown100393

    Still alive.

    • willbest

7-9 winning the 8 way tie for the WC?

      • BearDown100393

        Yes. Still alive.

  • RenoBear

Omg announcers instantly making excuses immediately for Lesbo

    • Huge Bears Penis

but he has an owie on his finger.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Bad read. Worse pass. Uglier mug.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

They mustve got mad I said they try hard but make no plays.

What a jump by LeBlanc and runback.

Guy has been getting picked on all season.

    • EnderWiggin

      I like him though. Scrappy.

      • MB30SD

        Awareness

  • Irish Sweetness

LeBlanc and Hall for our CBs next season. I like.

    • Huge Bears Penis

      maybe for backups.

      • Irish Sweetness

Our two best corners … who’s better? Not Porter. He’s done. Fuller? Callahan maybe. We’ll need them all.

        • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Callahan and nickle, the rest can go

  • madscout12

Just after showing the lack of division champs for the Lions. And that’s why.

  • beninnorcal

For once, the plot thickens in a good way after the half for da Bears.

    • Irish Sweetness

By our draft position getting worse with no chance of playoffs?

      • BearDown100393

        The Bears are not eliminated.

      • beninnorcal

I couldn’t really give a fuck about our draft position, I just wanna see players giving a fuck about playing. I like that.

        • Irish Sweetness

Ah. I’m curious about a high draft pick scenario for Pace. But if we’re 3-1 in the division is there any chance we can make the playoffs?

          • beninnorcal

Prolly not. We’ll have a pretty high pick regardless of whatever happens today though.

      • beninnorcal

Also, plenty of time for the Bears to blow this.

  • beninnorcal

    That throw was awful.

    • BearDown100393

      It was perfect.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

I think Lesbo did that on purpose so he can keep the captain comback narrative alive.

  • beninnorcal

Floyd held again. Obvious again too.

  • willbest

It’s okay just give Barkley 2 minutes to get the TD

  • beninnorcal

    I’m liking Kwikizooski

      incorrect.

    These fucking refs tho

  • BearDown100393

    Uncatchable.

  • beninnorcal

    Uncatchable ball

  • BearDown100393

    Need a stop.

  • RenoBear

God the lions are such douchebags. Fuck these refs too

  • BerwynBomber

Horrible series from the D after the pick six.

    • Irish Sweetness

Apart from Callahan raping the receiver, it was looking good.

  • BuddhaJoe

Well at least they looked good and got fucked by the refs. Draft position?

  • beninnorcal

    Alright, Barkley, your go.

  • beninnorcal

At least get into Barth range, about the Lions 10 or so.

  • DaMurph

Fucking TIMU be out of work tomorrow for whiffing on Stafford like that! WTF!!!

    • Huge Bears Penis

naw. we aint got anyone else to play.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Keep on running like that, Stafford.

    That’s how u missed a few seasons.

    • DaMurph

      Not with Timu tackling

  • madscout12

    Real score is 17-10

  • BearDown100393

Do not let the season slip away. Win this game.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    4 min drill

  • BuddhaJoe

Alright Barkley time to earn your spot.

    • Irish Sweetness

We’ll have to pay him 15 million plus a year to keep him on the roster. And he looks a little trigger happy.

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

if we pay Matt Barkley 15 million i will stop watching Bears football forever.

      • Huge Bears Penis

        not even close to 15mill

      • BuddhaJoe

        Nah, not even close.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

huh? Don’t wanna run a run play with Howard before the 2 min mark?

  • DaMurph

If only our receivers could catch

  • madscout12

    Catch. The. Ball.

  • BearDown100393

Howard is going to bust one out.

    • Irish Sweetness

So am I after the game.

  • willbest

    Damn penalties

  • BuddhaJoe

Fuck the refs, DET was doing was worse.

  • Huge Bears Penis

    BRAVERMAN!!!!!!!!!!

  • RenoBear

    Haha! Suck it refs

  • willbest

    Fuck

  • beninnorcal

Bullshit. If the refs are going to call holding, at least call on both sides.

  • RenoBear

Get off the lions payroll rets

  • madscout12

Where was that on several previous Det drives?

  • beninnorcal

    Fuck!!!!!!

  • beninnorcal

    What the fuck?!

  • willbest

    What bullshit.

  • RenoBear

    I mean….. come fucking on

  • madscout12

    Well, beat them again.

  • BearDown100393

    Of course no flag.

  • BuddhaJoe

    WHAT THE FUCK!

  • RenoBear

    Disgusting calls in this game

  • willbest

    Fuck Vegas.

  • madscout12

Ticky tack against us, swallow it against them.

  • beninnorcal

I usually avoid blaming refs for game outcomes. But this has been the most one-sided officiating I ever saw.

    • madscout12

Since last year in the same place.

    • CanadaBear

Early in the game they were fucking the Loins. It cost them at least 2 big plays. After that, it was all Bears. Hate to see his crew.

  • BuddhaJoe

This is the type of shit that makes me think about giving up on the NFL. Obviously either pathetic reffing or rigged.

  • Irish Sweetness

Leno ensuring we draft his replacement.

    • DaMurph

need to replace your no tackling slow ass man Timu!

      • SC Dave

Timu is done. Kwiatkoski, on the other hand, is a definite keeper. Needs to work a little on coverage, but he’s a rook and that will come.

He’s at least five times better than Timu.

    • Huge Bears Penis

I am fine with our OLine so far get some DBs that can cover and turn their heads around.

  • RenoBear

I mean… to see the beloved fight like hell and get jobbed by the refs is such gross bullshit

  • beninnorcal

Why couldn’t they have just tried a 62 yard fg?

    • Huge Bears Penis

      Barth.

  • BearDown100393

    6-10

It will take a bit of a miracle now.

  • DaMurph

Our fucking receivers suck, he shoulda made that grab

    • Irish Sweetness

      Cameron Meredith was great.

  • madscout12

Not playing the ball. We were flagged on that earlier. Fucking Bullshit.

  • beninnorcal

I think Barkey is looking like our guy going into next year. Draft one as well.

    • beninnorcal

Never thought I would say that.

    • Irish Sweetness

He’s not a Bear next season, why does nobody get this?

      • beninnorcal

        I bet he is.

      • DaMurph

        You kiddin me??

        • Irish Sweetness

He’s on a one-year deal. Shop window games.

Ryan Tannehill just blew his knee out too.

          • willbest

He is an RFA. We put a 4 million tender on him. We get the right to match any other teams deal or they give us their first

          • DaMurph

So what, they sign him for sure!

        • SC Dave

Irish is trolling, I swear he is.

      • Huge Bears Penis

probably the same reason you don’t get that Fales sucks monkey balls.

        • Irish Sweetness

Sucks based on what? Nobody can ever tell me that. He has done NOTHING wrong in a Bears uni. And we signed him back. Why did they do that if he sucks? He doesn’t suck.

          • madscout12

Because he couldn’t beat out Jimmy Clausen for a spot?

          • Irish Sweetness

Who isn’t and hasn’t been on our team for years?

          • willbest

            1 year

          • madscout12

He was on our team for at least 2 years that Fales was on it.

          • Irish Sweetness

And was a vet. How does a kid with no experience or starts beat out a vet?

          • madscout12

A vet who sucked everywhere he went.

A kid with no XP starts because he’s better than the vet who sucks. He isn’t better and so he didn’t start.

          • Irish Sweetness

My point is NOBODY knows how Fales has progressed, until he takes a regular season start. Saying he sucks is just meathead stuff. Y’all laughed when I posted a Barkley video a while back.

Nobody sucks until the tape says they do.

          • willbest

He regressed against backups in the PS, what about that makes you think he will elevate against starters?

          • Huge Bears Penis

They cut him because he is a crap stain of a QB. they signed him back because he was the best of the crap stains left at QB.

          • Irish Sweetness

No, they cut him because they weren’t carrying three QBs, then Shaw broke his leg.

          • Irish Sweetness

            Makes zero sense.

          • Huge Bears Penis

what makes zero sense, we cut him because he sucks, we signed him back because we were desperate for a backup QB, and he was the best option out of the FA QB available, who all sucked. Also we tried to steal the QB off the Lions practice squad and were unable to so we SETTLED for Fales.

          • willbest

Because there are 4 weeks in the season and he is the only QB out there that knows the playbook. It’s that simple

      • willbest

Barkley is anRFA there is no way he isn’t a bear after these 3 games

        • Irish Sweetness

Are you serious? How many teams are looking for QBs? How many available QBs are there?

          • willbest

Unless they want to give us their first rounder they can’t have him

          • SC Dave

            Not even then.

          • willbest

If someone gives Barkley a 4 year 60 mil, 30 guaranteed are you paying Barkley or taking the first rounder and in case you think that is crazy he looks better than Oz and he isn’t throwing to DT and Sanders

They can have Cutler if they want.
We can even throw in Fales.

      • SC Dave

        Are you trolling again? SMH

  • BerwynBomber

Not just saying this because of today, but I’ve ALWAYS hated a Jeff Triplett-led crew. His crews seeming always attempt to decide games when possible.

    • CanadaBear

Al hates Hochuli and I’ve hated Triplette for a loooooong time. Constantly throwing flags and almost every game seems to be on the verge of anarchy from one team or the other. I’d take Hochuli any day and I really dislike Hochuli.

      • willbest

I am with you. Who is the ref that lets them play?

        • madscout12

It is fine to let them play. You just do it for both sides.

They let the Lions play and were ticky tack with the Bears.

          • willbest

No every now and then there is a game with like 4 flags all game. I want to know who that crew is. They never draw my ire so I never have a reason to know who they are

          • CanadaBear

Tony Corrente crew usually lets them play. I’m trying to think of others. Walt Coleman’s usually lets them play but at least twice/game he will look like a bumbling old man who is a walk on.

      • BerwynBomber

Yeah, nobody fucks a team like Triplett. Nobody.

1st and 30 hard to overcome.
Same penalties killed drives with Hoyer.

Always find new ways to lose.

    Oh well.

Hopefully JAX and 9ers win today.

    • Irish Sweetness

      Minny beating JAX.

  • madscout12

    That game was unbelievable. Jobbed.

  • MB30SD

Guys, that looked like a great fight… Was watching the ESPN play by play when I could.

We fought hard, we def have some building blocks. We lost by 3 to an 8-4 team, kept outer current position and jobbed the packers.

Now, next week we need to pull out all the fucking stops and beat the fuck out of the packers.

    • DaMurph

Our receivers cant catch very catchable balls

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

“At least they get open “- Albino Lovie

        • DaMurph

          Glass half full at least!

      • Irish Sweetness

Cameron can, 6 balls and a TD,

Howard averaged 6.6 yards a carry today.

  • BuddhaJoe

Fuck all those refs with a rusty bayonet.

  • willbest

So Barkley is 3-0 as a starter if he didn’t have to beat his own receivers or the refs in addition to the opposing D

    • BerwynBomber

Was the TEN final drive for a tie or a win? I forget.

Anyway, he’s played very well. Two passes — one in first half/one in the second — that he put in harm’s way, but other than that an admirable effort. He just needs to learn to eat the ball on those occasions.

      • madscout12

        For the win.

      • Irish Sweetness

“He just needs to learn to eat the ball”

It took Jay ten years to learn that.

        • MB30SD

He’s never learned that maings. That’s why he sucks ass. Dude’s fools gold

    • Irish Sweetness

If my aunty had balls ….

  • wreckinball

    Couldn’t watch the game.
    Zebra screw job?

    • madscout12

      Yes. Very yes.

They couldn’t call holding for the bears for 57 min, and called it twice on us when we completed a pass for a chance to get the TD and an almost guaranteed FG.

    • BuddhaJoe

Bears rushers were getting dragged down without a flag, but they had no problem calling ticky tack shit on our line. Plus a couple of bogus PI calls.

    • Irish Sweetness

And on the last play they jobbed our WR but no flag. Even the anti-Bear announcers thought it was PI.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Well, if we must lose, better to lose due to injuries and horrible calls than through incompetence?

    #GarretWatch

    • BerwynBomber

Brown’s supposedly want him. And my guess he falls no further than #2 anyway.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

        Ugh, just our luck.
The ONE year Browns don’t get a QB is the year we can maybe draft a stud pass rusher.

        • Irish Sweetness

          Trade down?

          • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

Might as well, and draft the best CB/S

          • MB30SD

We won’t need to trade down for that

          • willbest

Best CB goes in top 10 usually

          • MB30SD

We’re picking 4 unless miracles happen… We’ll get the top db, ol, imlb, or te (nah), or 2nd dl.

          • willbest

5th atm, 7th when we beat the packers.

          • MB30SD

Hmmmm… Who’s ahead of us. Jags, browns, jets… Who else?

          • willbest

            9ers.

          • MB30SD

Ah, right. So why aren’t we 5?

          • BerwynBomber

CB, of course, is considered more valuable these days but we seem much better at CB than S.

        • willbest

Browns have 3 first round picks this year. They can draft a QB where the Rams pick

  • BerwynBomber

“DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog Sorry but that game was just taken from Bears and I NEVER say that. That second holding call didn’t exist.”

Ditto. Even against the Cheese I didn’t raise my voice. But this was zebra robbery. Horrendous shit.

    • SC Dave

Presume you mean the one against Larsen. Ludicrous.

  • BuddhaJoe

Well on the plus side, I wish ya’ll could smell this roast that’s cooking in the oven. Plus, my fiancee is a Lions’ fan so I’m gonna get back at her later, if you know what I mean.

In the snow. The clips I saw, Buffalo looked like they were in slow motion.

          Snowshoe skates are turible

Nah, I’m sure there were dudes in the 40s back in the day.

    • wreckinball

      Watched the game.
      Great day for Bell
      Steelers O line great
That being said Buffalos D line consisted of 4 fat D lineman waving at Bell or Ben

  • CanadaBear

Glad to see the Beloved show some spunk in a close loss. This one shouldn’t hurt anyone inside Halas Hall. Pretty clear the officials went a little crazy with the home cooking after the first quarter. Bellamy needs to go far, far away. I’m with Murph, Timu sucks moose wang. Not that it makes any difference but Solomon Wilcotts might as well have grabbed some Hawaii Blue and white pom poms. JFC.

    • willbest

Keeps us in top 5 contention I guess, and it was there for the taking. Moral victory for the D finally getting some takeways. Just need to beat GB though

      • DaMurph

You know we will probably bust on that pick, just sayin.

            Yes… yes??

      • wreckinball

        Backup?
I mean I mean we have whole bunch of other shit to deal with.
Might be too $$ for a backup
        Keep Barkley

        • BerwynBomber

My guess is that both, combined, will cost less than Cutty. By a sizable difference.

  • DaMurph

Here’s the way I see it, I say we keep Barkely. The team seems to rally behind him and genuinely come together under his leadership. Theres something there with him behind center that is missing with Jay and Hoyer. He has a good arm and makes good decisions. We still go ahead and draft a future QB to slowly groom behind him. Has to be the right kinda guy. Deshon Kizer comes to mind if he comes out early. If not go ahead and draft the best CB available. We need a shut down corner and the best safety available, or sign Hill and get on with it. We need a receiver that doesnt have bones like potato chips. We can play some solid football lately with very marginal players. Im seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. Thats how I see things. MB? Chime in my maings!

    • MB30SD

      My Murph… 100% with you.

      * Keep hoyer at #2.

      * Def take a flyer on hill

      * Then bpa at our pick out of DL/DB/OL

      * Second Rd, take the next bpa out of the two we didn’t in the 1st

      * Qb or te here… or last one from the above

    • Sauron’s right eyeball

Let me offer my titty as well murph. 110% agree.

    • AlbertInTucson

      Kizer should stay at ND.

I really liked Jabril Peppers in his pre-Heisman interview with the other finalists.

Really struck me as intelligent, confident and well spoken.

Said he wants to play safety in the NFL.

I think he’d look good as a Bear.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd HOFerPick#6(Butch)

    GB teabagging SEA.

Heck, our D held them to 3 points going into the 3rd.

  • BerwynBomber

Yup, Rodgers is still better than Stafford. By a long shot.

  • BerwynBomber

Tannenhill feared to have torn his ACL. Hope springs for the Cutty/Gase reunion.

    • Sauron’s right eyeball

Gase’s job might be on the line so maybe we can get a 1st huh?

      • BerwynBomber

Nah. They’re 8-5. Can’t see his job being on the line. If anything, they might feel damn good about him.

        • MB30SD

Yeah, no way. They started seeing some light at the end if the tunnel with gase this year. No way he’s on the hot seat

      • AlbertInTucson

Maybe they are better off with Matt Moore.

    • AlbertInTucson

Another low cheap shot from a Cardinal defender.

The Bears will be the best 6-10 NFL team.

  • Captain Obvious

Jeff Triplette is the antichrist. What a fucking joke.

Other than Goldman hurting his ankle again and Bellamy being cut before training camp, this game went according to plan. Fuck Jeff Triplette, though. With a fucking Christmas tree. Up the poop chute. Multiple times. What. A. Fucking. Jagoff.

    • BerwynBomber

Can’t stand Triplett. Never felt so ripped off in a Bears loss as that one.

      • Captain Obvious

Add the E at the end. Makes it feminine. Like the fucking girly piece of shit Triplette is.

      • SC Dave

That call v Larsen on the Braverman catch sucked balls. And then immediately thereafter, they ignore the PI on Donte.

        *sigh*

        • Huge Bears Penis

don’t for get that fantom holding call on some defensive lineman.

  • BerwynBomber

Cheese look like they’re finally pulling it together, but probably too little too late in terms of post-season.

    • willbest

Seattle missing their safety. Probably are going to be hosed against all elite QBs,.

9-7 could get the Packers in. None of the 8 win teams coming out of this weekend looks like complete teams. Of course, the problem is they have lost to both the Falcons and the Redskins so they are light in the tiebreaker department. They probably need to win out.

      • BerwynBomber

Rodgers looks like he’s playing on one leg. Not too encouraging for GB.

Agree about Thomas, though SEA has shown a little Pats-like ability to overcome injuries/flaws in the past.

        • AlbertInTucson

I believe Rodgers thru exactly ZERO passes in Sherman’s direction today.

          Other teams should take note.

        • CanadaBear

He’s like my little dog. When things are going good, no limp. When things are gong bad, the limp returns.

      • AlbertInTucson

I dont think 9-7 does it.

    • SC Dave

We can just about guarantee it next week.

  • DaMurph

That crew is the crew with the female official. I thinks its graded out as the worse crew in the NFL

    • BerwynBomber

Triplette was horrible long before the female official joined his crew.

      • DaMurph

Yeah, but she hasnt been a ray of sunshine on that crew either.

        • Huge Bears Penis

she was the one that threw that fantom holding flag at the line of scrimmage. That they just said Holding Defense. It sure the hell was not against any of the DBs or LBs in coverage from what i saw, so that only left the DLine.

    • Sauron’s right eyeball

      Is she hot Murph?

      • CanadaBear

        Are you into lesbians?

        • Sauron’s right eyeball

          Got it. Lol

  • BerwynBomber

An “Even the Best QBs Have Bad Days” weekend:

    Wilson 5 INTs vs. Cheese
    R-berger 3 INTs vs. BUF
    Brees 3 INTs vs. NO
    Rivers 3 INTs vs. CAR

    • Sauron’s right eyeball

Looks like Wilsons hasn’t been drinking enough miracle water.

      • AlbertInTucson

In addition to the picks, he was missing open receivers all day.

        • Sauron’s right eyeball

I have always suspected that Wilson would be a mediocre QB on most teams.

          • SC Dave

            This

          • willbest

Then where did Las season come from where he had no Oline, and no run game?

          • Sauron’s right eyeball

How does Brady have good years year in and year out? Scheme my man.

          • willbest

This year is Russell Wilson’s worst year as a QB, and he is playing on a a torn something. And he still has a passer rating of 88, and a QBR of 59. And that is still better than 6 of Tom Brady’s 6 season as a starter.

Russell Wilson has 3 seasons with a passer rating over 100 to Tom Brady’s 4 (although he will get another one this year).

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

      They’re no Hoyer.

    • AlbertInTucson

Those were numbers 12, 13 and 14 for Mr. Rivers today so, not exactly “Man Bites Dog” news.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

I think he always tries for kill shots cuz he doesn’t trust his D.

On the other hand, that Buc’s D is gelling.

All they had to do was get rid of Lovie.

        • MB30SD

          Yup

      • BerwynBomber

Rivers is borderline “best QB” material. But though he makes a lot of mistakes, he also puts up big numbers.

P.S. that was what (realistically) I always hoped Cutler would turn into: a guy whose # of mistakes you could live with because of the production. Unfortunately, never really happened.

        • MB30SD

Man, fuck that whiney little bitch. Ugliest throwing motion I’ve ever seen

    • SC Dave

I don’t count Wilson among the “best QBs”

      • BerwynBomber

You hate SEA so I don’t take your opinion on them that seriously. No offense.

      • willbest

Name 5 QBs you would rather have leading the Bears over the next 3 years

  • BearDown100393

    Bald Guys In Fast Cars

    • MB30SD

Sounds like my anthem… Except for the fast part

  • AlbertInTucson

    Watched the whole game today.

Obviously, Penalties killed them all day. I thought the last holding call was very weak.

I called this a litmus test for Barkley.

    I think he passed.

He also deserved better, again, from his teammates.

I think he showed smarts on that late sack he took.

Nobody was open, he didn’t try to do anything stupid and he protected the ball well.

The Lions offense consisted, mainly, of two gigantic PI calls.

I understand Stafford suffered ligament damage on the hand today.

    Yo, Seahawks! Piss on you.

    • MB30SD

Def the last statement.for fuck sake. Seriously Seahawks?!?!

      • AlbertInTucson

At 6-7, the Packers would be in DEEEP doo doo.

        • MB30SD

          Pisses me off.

  • SC Dave

Doing the usual tape-delay reaction. Kwaitkoski again just making tackles. He must have five already, and there’s 11 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

    • MB30SD

Haven’t seen much but the few plays I did see I liked

  • BerwynBomber

You know who also might be a late season keeper from this Bears team? This TE Daniel Brown that Pace picked up. Can’t attest to his blocking ability but the dude has good hands. I don’t think he has dropped a pass in the couple/few weeks he has played.

    • AlbertInTucson

“What can Brown do for you?”

I like what I saw, as well.

  • Owner

Receivers just can’t make catches and really puts the Bears back on the wall. Thought they brought in 3 WRS this past week for a workout. Heard the ex packer Abbrederis was here. Seems like he was healthy this year….recall his awesome performance in Rose Bowl vs Oregon…record breaking all purpose yards. If this guy could stay healthy….he can make catches for sure.

    • BerwynBomber

Fales to Abberderis!!! An Irishgasm for sure.

  • RenoBear

Hey at least Barkley will have Alshon to throw to next week against the Fudgers at soldier field. I like it

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

I can understand the Bears just trying out Bellamy and gang, but man, at this point, gotta think there’s some old vet with secure hands or some draft prospect who fell cuz of “character” issues.

      SOMEONE who can catch.

Barkley is sorely missing that safety valve.

      • AlbertInTucson

Miler IR. Jeffrey suspended. Royal hurt (AS usual).

        • SC Dave

Brown seems to catch about everything. But yeah, poor Matt.

          Another epidemic of dropped passes.

    • AlbertInTucson

Alshon will probably come right out and pull a hammy.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

The scary part about the Cowgirls is that they’re going to be good for a long time going forward.

If Old Sauce gets a premiere pass rusher and decent CB/S, watch out.

    • Johnnywad

Seems like there’s a couple teams every year that have that look. Then injuries and free agency swing the pendulum.

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

Last team I saw like that was SEA in Wilson’s second yr (he was still in rook contract).

That rook contract for a QB can go a long way.

Plus, usually teams that win the SB get poached. I don’t think the Girls are there yet, and aside from maybe Lee, they have a no-name D, so not much to poach there.

Their key will be to keep that Oline together, but those big guys don’t usually get greedy.

        • Johnnywad

I don’t think Elliott can run like that forever either. But we’ll see.

      • BerwynBomber

Plus, I’m not convinced Jason Garrett is all that as an HC. Remember, he personally lost them a few games over the years with poor clock management decisions.

Stuff that would even make Lovie and Fox wince.

        • MB30SD

I got 13 snakes up here!!

    • A Most Excellent Dude (GP)

      Sauced!

  • AlbertInTucson

Prescott picked for only the 3rd time this season and only because Dez fell down.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

Didn’t take him 12 seasons, that’s for sure.

      • AlbertInTucson

        ???

    • AlbertInTucson

And if Conor Cook had still been available in the 4th, the Cowboys would have taken Cook and missed on Prescott.

Moral: I’d rather be lucky than good.

  • SC Dave

Wow… that holding call on Larsen really sucked; ticky-tack to the max. And then no interference on an obvious infraction vs. Thompson.

Unreal. The mob must have had a lot riding on this one.

    • Sauron’s right eyeball

Lol. The mob are just the errand boys Dave. Maybe the Pope needed a few more Golden Candlehabre’s?

      • SC Dave

Interesting spelling, but I get the point.

        • Sauron’s right eyeball

          Darn spell check.

        • MB30SD

Just say it with a Texas accent and it totally makes sense.

          Candle… Ha-braz. Hahahaha

    • BerwynBomber

Worst officiating against Bears for a long time. Pretty much stole the game from us.

  • AlbertInTucson

    In other news…

I am matched up for 1st place against the other 9-4 team.

Trailing 27-22 but his lineup is done.

I need 6 with ODB and my kicker, Gostkowski, still in play.

Left 12 on the bench (Tevin Coleman) and got squat from Seattle’s Baldwin and Graham.

  • BerwynBomber

Prescott should have used his legs a few times that first half. He left a few first downs on the field.

Do it while you’re young, kid.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Oh my, Eli!

  • BerwynBomber

“DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog Hicks has been an amazing signing.”

Did I miss the first 12 weeks of the season where Hicks was taking names? Serious question. It is only these last two weeks that I’ve seen him do anything.

  • BerwynBomber

Prescott is having arguably the best rookie QB year ever. (Only two I can remember being comparable were Marino’s and R-berger’s.) But I wonder if he can carry a team if needed. Not convinced of that yet.

    • BearDown100393

Has a rookie QB ever had a better OL in front?

      • A Most Excellent Dude (GP)

plus a high impact rb to boot

        • BerwynBomber

And Dez Bryant, a HoF TE and some little dude white slot guy straight out of NE central casting.

P.S. I like Prescott. Damn impressive but only wonder if he can lift a team on his back.

    • AlbertInTucson

Giants missed a couple of opportunities in the first half, too.

  • A Most Excellent Dude (GP)

    ODB is so frekin fast

    • MB30SD

      Cray cray

  • AlbertInTucson

Beckham wins FF game for me! Back in first all by ourselves!

  • AlbertInTucson

    THAT sure fooled the Giants.

    NOT.

  • BerwynBomber

Very questionable punt here. If the G-men get one first down, the game is probably over anyway. And if you hold him, even deep in your own territory, they still only go up six.

Edit: well, shut my mouth. The D made Garrett look good there.

  • BearDown100393

    Dez didn’t catch the ball.

    • MB30SD

      Jess’s he deeeeet

      • A Most Excellent Dude (GP)

        no no senor

        • MB30SD

          Oh seeeee seenior. Dos esteps

  • MB30SD

    No eeecatch

  • AlbertInTucson

    Game over. No catch.

  • BearDown100393

Dez didn’t catch the ball there either.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Adios, muchachos!

  • BearDown100393

After review, the call on the field is changed. Holding on the Bears, 10 yard penalty and an automatic first down.

    • MB30SD

      * automatic no td

  • MB30SD

Oh shit, let’s see if they rub it in with a TD here.

Fucken a I would. Fuck the cowboys

    • MB30SD

      Laaaaaame

    • BearDown100393

      Pooch kick.

      • MB30SD

        Hahaha

  • BerwynBomber

After today I’ll root for the Cheese over DET (if it comes to that, which I don’t think it will). But that was some serious bullshit at Ford today. One thing to run into some homerville officiating. Another thing to be outright robbed, which is what happened today.

    • Johnnywad

I’d settle for a stadium collapse when the Cheese are back in Detroit. Then you’re not compelled to pull for either. Everybody wins.

      • BerwynBomber

But wait: does MIN escape our wrath?

        • MB30SD

          Rooting for the fucking packers?!?!?!

Dude that is some serious bullshit. Fuck that noise. The Lions ALWAYS end up lioning themselves… so root for those lucky buffoons man.

          MOTHERFUCKTHEPACKERS DUDE

          • AlbertInTucson

            Really.Root for the Pack?

            SMH.

          • MB30SD

            Exactly Al. Wtf?!?!

        • Johnnywad

Well, they seem to be suffering plenty of their own self inflicted wrath. I think we’re all set.

  • willbest

Remember a year ago when the NFCE was a joke? They could field 3 playoff teams this year

  • Dave

Kush should of got the start against Lions

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd IplayHard2!(Butch)

Here’s the problem in LA. Does the next head coach hire have to like Goff? Does that EVER work? – Jeff.

Exactly why I’m not for drafting a QB high next year.

Fox and Co are on the plank in ’17.
