Money Where My Mouth Is: Three Picks for Week 3

| September 24th, 2015

Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 3.01.04 PM

Made some overreacting mistakes to the first week of the season, especially in the Rams/Redskins game. Still can’t believe the Rams team that played the Redskins Sunday was the same that beat Seattle to open the year. Lines can be found here.

BALTIMORE -3 OVER CINCINNATI

Here’s the logic: I don’t believe the Ravens are an 0-3 team. And I think they (much like the Seahawks) will be refreshed by playing their first home game and deliver a big effort.  Ravens 30, Bengals 24.

Chicago at Seattle: TOTAL POINTS OVER 43.5

The Bears are going to have trouble scoring points with Jimmy Clausen starting at quarterback but I don’t think that means they’ll be shutout by a defense that has struggled mightily coming out of the 2015 gates. And the Seahawks would be disappointed finishing this game with less than 28 points. I say the game goes over. Seahawks 31, Bears 20

Tennessee Titans Total Points Over 21 vs. Indy

I have been unabashed in my hatred of the way Colts GM Ryan Grigson has built this roster around Andrew Luck. In lieu of offensive linemen or defenders, Grigson has stockpiled aged skill players the team doesn’t need. Luck will probably throw another pick or two and Marcus Mariota should be able to gauge the Colts for large chunks of yardage on the ground. Colts 34, Titans 30.

Season Record: 2-3-1 (-$140)

    Konichiwa bitches.

Bears by 2 in a shocker.

    • Irish Sweetness

      That is 9/1 my friend.

      • AlbertInTucson

He probably means The Bears within 2 TDs. That would be a shocker, too.

      • Sactowns#1

        Tempting odds.

  • AlbertInTucson

I’ll take the over and I’ll lay the points.

    As I said last night:

    Seattle 44. Chicago 3.

    • The GP

Another Bears record in penalties, Al?

      • AlbertInTucson

        Not necessarily.

  • Irish Sweetness

PIT are -1 to beat STL ??? That has to be the bet of the week !! Isn’t Bell back now?

    ATL -1 against a Romo-less Dallas ???

I think I’ve found my double.

    • willbest

Sean Lee looks great. They aren’t going to stop Julio Jones though.
Thing is Dallas’s line has allowed them to just chew the crap out of the clock. I could see this being a low scoring affair.

      • Irish Sweetness

I know nothing about BRandon Weeden. Is he going to shit the bed? I really want to back ATL with PIT.

        • willbest

He did a lot better than Clausen did. If all he is asked to do is dink and dunk while they rely mostly on the run he is going to be fine. Truth be told I haven’t watched enough of Atlanta (and they haven’t played good enough teams) to know where their D-line will have any success against the Dallas O-line.

  • Irish Sweetness

On the Hawks game, they’re holding teams to 3.7 YPC. If Kam is back they’ll give Clausen nightmares – they’ll give him nightmares anyway. If we can’t pass it, they’ll stack the box and if we can’t run it ….

The bet in that game is for the Bennett brother to get into it. Uni to get flagged for 15.

    • TheBigCheesy

Ducasse is a really, really shitty player

    • Pissed Off

Seattle isn’t that good. They aren’t making the playoffs. Does that mean we can beat them. Hell no. We will get run by at least 2 tds. Seattle has a terrible offensive line…terrible. In addition they don’t know how to use Graham and the defense can be scored upon. If there is any silver lining it’s that. It won’t be a 50 to 3 game like it would have been any of the last few years if we were putting out this current team but I highly doubt we will be in the game much past the first half.

      • willbest

Seattle isn’t making the playoffs.. who are your division winners and wild cards? There are 3 teams in the NFC where I look at them and say “yeah, they are going to win 11 games or more”. That is Atlanta, GB, and Arizona. Dallas looked like it was going to cruise its way into the NFCE champion, and even without Dez and Romo, they still are probably the favorite.

        • BerwynBomber

ATL, really? Love the job Quinn’s doing but 11 wins might be optimistic.
Not sure DAL survives no Romo, Dez, Murray and, for a spell, Whitten. But that division is crappy enough that they might be able to weather it.

          • willbest

Atlanta has 6 games against the NFCS, 4 games against the NFCE, and 4 games against the AFCS. And their SoS games are against 49ners and Vikings. There is a good chance they are the #1 seed.

          • ATL’s D is not horrible either, and with Julio going bonkers, that’ll be a team to watch. ATL O vs CAR D will be a match to behold.

          • Irish Sweetness

            Their D does look aggressive.

  • Bear Down in Tampa

I think the bigger mystery for the Bears-Hawks game is whether Jay plays or not. You know whether he’s recovered from his concussion or not.. 😉

    • Irish Sweetness

I don’t want him in there, do you? Not with Michael Bennett slamming his head off the ground. We wouldn’t win anyway, so let Claws get hammered. Sorry, Claws, but my man-crush on Jay is back on. 14.5 points seems like a big spread for an offense that’s not firing in Seattle. Then again Kam could easily have two pick-6s.

      • Bear Down in Tampa

No, I don’t. He can watch in street clothes and come back for the Raiders game.

        • Irish Sweetness

We should sit AJ too …. in fact we should sit our LBs and let the 2nds run out and see if they can play themselves onto the team.

          • Bear Down in Tampa

So basically treat this like a preseason game…lol!

          • Irish Sweetness

Fuggit. The LBs think they’re getting rested, but they’re really getting tested.

          • MB30SD

irish, killing us maing. there’s a reason it’s called PRE-season, and a reason these dudes are all on the PRACTICE squad

          • Irish Sweetness

Why not have a look at guys, right? They played their socks off in PS, showed hteir skills, hunger. I’ve seen none of it from McPhee or Allen, or anyone in that bunch. Fox said something at the presser about making changes, and he wasn’t talking offense. Let’s see what we have. Trial by combat.

          • MB30SD

well no, not really. I get why you’d say that mate, but honestly, if they were even 3rd string caliber they’d be on the active roster for at least specials.

I understand why our currnet… conundrum makes you want to look hard for solutions, but looking to the PS isn’t the right place. The only thing that’s going to get us substantially better (one would hope we’ll get better with more games), is fresh draft meat and some good FA pick ups.

          • Your point is the more rational, but after seeing those schmucks do nothing on the field, I feel like Irish.

Sometimes those benchers come in like gangbusters with all this energy and pick up the team cuz they’re rooting for them.

Dudes who have flashed that I would like to see.

CB Mitchell. In spite of being runover by a HOFer in Fitz, dude is just always around the ball and his coverage ain’t bad. Reminds me a little of Jennings before he sucked. But he’s more aggressive.

NT Terry Williams. All fat dudes are somewhat rotational, but I swear I don’t think I ever saw him give in inch in the PS, and that was against double teams. If he can occupy two blockers and not get rocked, job accomplished. Lynch is not fast enough to bounce outside runs, and our LBs would be more clean to make plays.

LB Timu/Acho. Timu was rock solid, though he might be a liability in coverage. Acho is a pass rush specialist for now, but N’acho Libre might actually get our first fucking sack.

OG Tayo. Fuck, it’s frustrating when a behomoth is on the bench that could road grade. Ducasse has supposedly “improved”, when he’s not offsides that is.
We’ll see. I still salivate over the idea of having all that man beef (that’s what she said) on the right side if Tayo is in.

Damn, the coaches put in Amos, so why the fuck not?

They owe NOTHING to any of these vets except the FAs they brought in. This is the year to do it.

But Albino Lovie probably won’t change it up just yet.

          • MB30SD

Yeah, I get our situation may drive those feelings. Totally get it… but that doesn’t mean we should be doing that now when we have played 3 of the top 5 teams in the NFL (Seattle hasn’t happened yet, and they haven’t looked top 5 but we’ll see), but still. Before we start pissing games up a wall, let’s get past these three games and see if we improve/do better against more mortal teams. If we’re 0-6 then by all means put the water, ball, and towel boys in for a try.

because Amos was a drat pick of the new regime and by all accounts he was a total steal and people were shocked he was still there when we picked.

The other dudes are UDFA right? Big diff.

          • CanadaBear

I hope Amos flashes soon. So far he seems indistinguishable from a million other mid round safeties that have worn the blue and orange. Not down on him but it would be nice to see a play where you go, “Fuck me, the young guy brought it that play!”

          • MB30SD

takes more than 2 games where the entire D is getting roughed up Canada.

We all know what happens to the DBs when the Dline actually starts getting preassure… and we aren’t playing rodgers and the AZ O

          • Irish Sweetness

Tayo was clean at RT. He was a LT in college, but I would like to see him at RG. Nobody is going to bully or bullrush that guy like they do with Ducasse, and we could be guaranteed to get a yard or two on the right side.

My feeling is that Allen and McPhee will get preferential treatment because they command the highest salaries, not because they show the hustle of a Timu/ Acho, and what about Willie ?

          • Irish Sweetness

Mang, did you see Terry Williams PS? Dude was int he backfield on every play. It’s PS, I get it, but he was unblockable. Rat is out suspended, and we’ve rotated either Sutton or Ego in there at NT with Goldman. Shouldn’t we have two NTs on the active roster?

  • CanadaBear

Another one of those “I don’t see any way the Beloved win this game” weekends.

    • Bear Down in Tampa

There’s also a 4 game stretch in November where that will be the case 🙁

      • MB30SD

we’re beating san diego on the 9th baby. I will be there to make sure of it.

        • Bear Down in Tampa

I hope so, bring that luck with you.

          • MB30SD

I shall do my best BC

        • Irish Sweetness

Man, the Bears come to YOU. Well Jell.

          • Bear Down in Tampa

They’re coming to me on the 27th of December.

          • Irish Sweetness

And you know THAT’S a win. No way Lovie out-foxes the Fox.

          • Bear Down in Tampa

Nope, plus Famous Jameis seems to suck at home.

        • Sactowns#1

I’ll be there too MB with 5 other Bears fans from the 916. Lets synchronize swatches and coordinate a meet up.

          • MB30SD

awesome man, that will be sweet. I’m in!

        • SC Dave

          Ipecac in their gatorade?

        • Pissed Off

Unless your avatar shows up for 2 pick 6s I beg to differ

        • MB30SD

koolaide maing. have to stay positive… only been 2 games against 2 of the best. I still have hope we’ll pull some surprise wins off. come on you guys! was it over when the……

      • CanadaBear

Hopefully the Beloved will be playing better by then but then again …

  • I got news for u guys. The foreskins under cousins and that rungame are forreals. That d is underrated too, keeps them in games, allows them to run

    • Irish Sweetness

      Good betting fodder, eh?

      • Yup. Until Vegas catches up. I think they’re gonna demolish the gmen tonight, keep ODB on the sideline watching Alf and Jones rip off chunks

The Evidence bag in the Kane case has been reviewed by three D.A’s. Their assessment is that it may have been the original bag, despite what the Erie police say about having the whole kit in tact.

The bag the attorney had was ripped open, had the correct serial # on it, as well as the attending nurse who did the exam’s signature on it.

    Not over yet.

    • willbest

I don’t even know what to make of this at this point. I have no idea what a person’s motivation would be for tampering with real evidence and leaving it in the door of the accuser’s mother.

My only thought is this. I physically place all my mail in the box inside the post office to reduce chances of identity theft. One time when I paid a bill, I either forgot to seal the envelope or it was tampered/destroyed at the post office. A couple weeks later just the check showed up in my mail box having been delivered to me as my address was on the check.

      • The GP

It’s not the same person. That’s almost certain.

Here’s my working theory, assuming the bag is real:

Blackhawk fixer, maybe an ex-FBI guy hired by Rocky or Blackhawk brass – uses his connections and a few hundred grand, to bribe the Police Chief and investigators at the Erie police. They send the chemist goon in. He rips open the real bag, pulls the rape kit out of it, throws the bag in the waste bin. Carelessly.

He doctors the rape kit, cleans the swabs, maybe swaps the panties. Whatever. He “fixes” the kit and re-bags the kit in a duplicate bag. He matches the serial # and forges the nurse’s signature.

Kit goes to the lab. Lab sees no DNA in the kit. Lab reports this. Defense lawyers are going around now yelling “the lab said we were clean! That’s all we need to know!”. Like the public are morons. Which, in fairness, most sports fans are.

Now comes the twist. Some person in the evidence room, maybe a low level cop who works the room, or maybe just a duty cop, is in the know. Maybe they saw the fixer. Maybe they know the Chief is dirty as it gets. Either way, maybe they know the victim or the victim’s family and maybe they are just pissed off. Pissed off that justice is being subverted, pissed off that the 1% get a different form of justice. And they don’t like it.

So they grab the throwaway bag and drop it on the door of the mother of the victim. Maybe put a note there, but probably no note.

In one swoop, they whistleblow without revealing themselves. God knows, in a corrupt precinct, coming forward would get them and their family killed. Quickly. So they gotta lay low.

But certainly this isn’t a case where a evidence handler rips open the bag, and THEN tells the family they did it.

This is a case where an inside Cop, a Jim Gordon clean cop, is upset.

OR – it’s all a hoax by the woman’s attorney. He had it stolen by an insider HE bribed to throw it out there.

That is possibility #2. Less likely since it’s him who wants the FBI to come in and his career is over if they find he manufactured that bag.

I lean to thinking the bag is real, a fixer got to the evidence room, and somebody in the Erie police department needs to be arrested by the Feds.

Or, the Blackhawks will freak and back a truckload of money in the millions to the girl’s attorney to make this all go away.

        • Oliver Stone, is that you?

As crazy as it sounds, these actually sound like the most plausible theories.

Copyright that shit! (Can you copyright reality?)

          • The GP

Turns out the guy who stole the bag from the evidence room and put it on the mother’s porch was Eddie Snowden.

            #FastEddieStrikes

        • don’t forget Kane has connections to the Buffalo PD. His personal driver when he’s back home is a Buffalo police officer, who spoke up for him when all this was coming out.

          • BerwynBomber

Yeah, an Lt no less. Said it yesterday, but there’s a strong stench of FSU/Tallahassee coming out of BUF.

          • something certainly stinks about all this. It just keeps getting more messed up by the day. Yikes.

        • NewBearInTown

Much more plausible to me than a high level bribery situation is simply two law enforcement types who both had access to the bag. One guy is a Blackhawks fan who thinks Kane is innocent (or doesn’t care, or whatever) so he tampered with the evidence. The other guy realizes what happened, wants to right the wrong by alerting the victim, but doesn’t want anybody to get in trouble.

So guy #2, who knows a little about the law but not enough, figures that by dropping the evidence bag with the mother, the accuser’s attorneys can undo the tampering.

Crazy thing is – it might all be one guy. One guy might have tampered with the bag and then either tried to undo his own harm or else stupidly tried to harrass the accuser by dropping off the bag.

        • BerwynBomber

I can’t imagine possibility #2 for the reasons you spelled out. Moreover, the criminal case now seems dead since the evidence has been tampered with, so what would be the MO for the prosecution for a “hoax”?

Anyway, hope the Feds are able to find out WTH went on there.

          • willbest

The Feds aren’t any more competent than local police.

    • Christ. Nice to know corruption goes beyond L.A.

How can the FBI not step in now? Imagine what cops do for each other in cases.

    • 505Bears

Bring that case to Albuquerque. APD will REEEEAAAALLLLY jack it up and Kane will walk free, unless they shoot him. APD is trigger happy…haha

      • willbest

They shoot white people with no visible tattoos?

        • 505Bears

Here, they shoot before they ask questions….Damn taxpayers paying out the yang because of the lawsuits

  • CanadaBear

Good thing Dickerson told us the Bears aren’t making the playoffs after going 0-2. Most of us said the same thing during preseason. I’m just wondering how Dickerson will rip on Cutler after this game.

    • willbest

Probably question his surface holding technique.

  • MB30SD
    • haha, and naturally when you link it, Cutty badger is the pitch man.

    http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/videos/Keys-to-the-Game-Bears-Seahawks/d9dc2e31-dace-44ad-8c2d-c7c65d7d793e

    My version.

Offense. NO OFFSIDES. In that building, communication is gonna be hard to hear, so it’s imperative they worked on the silent count in practice. Going offsides will get us out of our run game, and most likely result in 3 and Out with Clausen.

Stick to the run, and take some shots. Move the chains to keep our D off the field.

Defense. Pressure but contain. It’s one thing to pressure Wilson, but can’t loose contain. Allen is actually good at this, but I don’t know about the rest. Stop the run, jam the fuck out of Jimmy at the line cuz he’s been whining about actually being a TE and blocking, so they’ll likely try to feed him, esp in the red zone. Remember when Emery raved about Fuller being able to cover TEs? Yeah, that seems like eons ago, but if ever there were a time for him to regain his mojo, this would be it.

Specials. KICK THE BALL out of the back of the endzone. Lockette is dangerous. Don’t fuck around. Nice long punts that sail out of bounds would be sweet too. Gould seems in form, so not worried about him.

Intangible. ENERGY. AGGRESSION. If this team comes out lacklaster, then it’s 2014 all over again. I want them to have heard all the experts laughing at them. Hopefully someone pinned the Vegas line and being ranked 32nd by almost all pundits and newspapers on their locker room.

I just want to see some spark and anger out there.

    • Irish Sweetness

I don’t know if we can stick to the run against that Run D – they’ll stack the box against Clausen. If Cutty was in there they’d stack the box too.

  • Sactowns#1

Here are my pics. Last week I was 2 for 3 with the Rams as the outlier. This week I like the Bears (+14.5) the Jags (+14) and the Ravens (-2.5). I REALLY like the Washington team for tonight’s game but I cant get my bet in on time for that one. 🙁

    • willbest

The road team on the short week almost always blows chunks. Why the NFL doesn’t just institute a policy that the teams have to be coming off the bye is beyond me.

      • SC Dave

You’d have to have *very* early byes or *very* late byes, because the only other solution is fewer Thursday night games. You KNOW the last thing ain’t happening. And do you want your week 2 to be a bye?

        • willbest

Yeah I know. The NFL doesn’t want to give up its week 2, 3 and 12-17 TNF. Though I thought it was allowed to roll with Saturday on weeks 16 and 17

      • Sactowns#1

Looks like you were on the money and I can thank my bookie for being out of town.

  • 505Bears

Jeff, you will be eating Ramen soon enough with your track record there.

  • TheBigCheesy

I totally get the desire to dangle Matt Forte as trade bait, but I just don’t think you can get much in return for him. What about Alshon Jeffery though?

    • I think I’m the only one who suggested even trading Alshon. His stock maybe low now cuz of INJ and the plethora of ready made cheap WRs coming out of college, but I would be perfectly ok with trading him for a high 2nd (where he was drafted) or a low first.

We can use that pick to draft playmakers on D plus save at least $8M of cap space (again, to be used in FA for the D).

Edit. But what team would want him?

      • TheBigCheesy

Willie Young might have value, too. Right? Didn’t he have 10 sacks last year?

        • Maybe we can package both Alshon and Young to the Cowboys for a 1st, or even one of their OGs + a pick since they now have Collins.

Dez might not be back this season, and even if he does return, he might not be fully recovered.

Plus, Alshon is used to be a #2, and Witten’s ailing again and aging.

Young would play in the classic 4-3 DE spot he’s used to with Marinelli coaching him up.
Would be a good trade for both teams.

          • MB30SD

I don’t know about getting rid of aaallll of our young building blocks/value to do it, but I do know that pace needs to be super aggressive in the next 3 years to stockpile picks and then wisely use the draft to build this squad from the ground up.

He’s going to have to hit on more than a few players over the next 2-3 years in order to restore success. We need him to find a lach, mb, peanut type (s) on d, and somehow get us a young franchise qb. Daunting tasks but it could make his career

          • I like Young, but I don’t think he has the fluidity to stand-up, esp after the achilles inj.
Alshon I like too, but fucker’s always injured, and we have White in the wings. Granted, White is not proven, but how much is Alshon gonna demand after this season? Probably more than he’s worth.

We get 1st and conditional for both and call it day. Imagine us having TWO first rounders next draft and an extra $8M+ for FA.

            That’s what I’m thinking about.

  • MB30SD
    • “Offensive coordinator Adam Gase said he was not displeased with Clausen’s performance.”I was more disappointed in the play calling,” Gase said. “I thought I did a poor job of putting those guys in a good position.”

No shit sherlock. At least Gase is honest, which is refreshing.

      • willbest

Well he took it on his shoulders which a leader should do, but it wasn’t all on Gases. Unless he should know say that Montgomery was going to low snap while the Bears are on their own 5. At some point the players got to make the plays.

  • Trac

My daughter got shot in the shoulder last night and is going to be ok.

    • Johnnywad

Holy shit. Glad she’s OK. Shot how? Crazy accident I hope.

      • Trac

Hit by a stray bullet. Two punks were fighting in a parking lot, one was a coward and pulls out a gun and starts firing.

        • WTF. Crazy. Same thing happen over here in L.A. Guy was chasing another dude. Sprayed the street with bullets, hit 3 kids while the target got away.

          Man, thank god she’s ok.

          Did they catch the perps?

          • Trac

            Yes to both accounts. Thanks.

          • Trac

She was very fortunate and was out of the hospital in about 4 hours.

          • Irish Sweetness

Sound like they won’t be long for this world anyway.

        • Johnnywad

Hell in a hand basket Trac. Hell in a hand basket. Hope she makes a full recovery

          • Trac

Thanks Johnny. She’ll have a bullet in her for the rest of her life. It lodge near her heart and a major artery any that have to leave because it’s too dangerous to remove.

          • Johnnywad

Dude you said shoulder. That sounds far more serious than shoulder. You must have been scared out of your mind. I can’t even fathom the fear of hearing my daughter had been shot.

I hope they put the bastard away.

          • Trac

            That’s where it went in.

          • Irish Sweetness

Oh good God. Sorry, Trac. Any response I can think of has Himself in it.

        • SC Dave

          Wow…glad she’s. Ok….. at least physically

          • Trac

            It’s a tough deal.

          • SC Dave

            No shit, damn

        • beninnorcal

          Idiots.

        • EnderWiggin

Some scary stuff TracDaddy. My wife and I’ll will send prayers your way.

    • willbest

My prayers go out to her and your family.

      • Trac

Thanks Will. You have no idea what that means to me. Really appreciate it.

    • beninnorcal

Hope your doing ok, Trac. Hope you don’t have to shoot anyone back.

    • Bender McLugh

Hope you are okay Trac. Our prayers are with you & your daughter.

    • AlbertInTucson

      My best to yours, Trac.

      I cannot begin to imagine.

MY “little girl” just presented us with our first Grandchild Monday.

      • Irish Sweetness

Congrats Al. Long healthy life and happiness to them.

      • MB30SD

congrats Al. Amazing times ahead for both you and trac. New outlook on life in both cases.

      • CanadaBear

        Congrats Al!

        • AlbertInTucson

Yep. I LOOK like a grandpa so I might as well BE one!

      • Trac

        Thanks Al.

    • Irish Sweetness

Wow, Trac. Positive healing vibes from the other side of the planet ….

    • CanadaBear

I’m so sorry to hear this. Glad she will be OK. Best wishes my friend.

    • Huge Bear’s Penis

wow that is some crazy shit. I am glad she is going to be ok. probably some tough times ahead hope everything works out and you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

    • Viva

  • BillW

My God Trac. I hope you’re OK too. I can’t imagine how I’d feel. Anger fear gratitude all at once. Thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

    • Trac

Yup. Right now just exhaustion. Thanks bill.

  • Trac

I just posted it because I needed some support. Being a dad is tough. Thanks for all your encouraging support. I’m gonna turn in.

    • The GP

Sorry to hear this. Gun violence is insane. Best wishes to your daughter.

      • beninnorcal

        Any violence is insane, GP.

        • beninnorcal

These guys sound like they most certainly shouldn’t have had guns but let’s not lose sight of the fact that they are cowardly idiots.

      • Trac

Yeah thanks GP. My Dad and I were just taking about this yesterday, it has become a very complicated issue for sure. Can’t imagine living in some high crime area’s without being able to protect yourself but on the other hand, people are idiots and will pull a gun out in a heart beat and use one when they shouldn’t.

Kane’s accuser’s lawyer quits over doubts about evidence bag story. This thing gets stranger by the hour.

    http://espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/story/_/id/13734356/patrick-kane-accuser-lawyer-quits-case-concerns-how-evidence-bag-was-found

    • willbest

Remember what I said. That lawyer’s job was maximizing the civil suit payout. He almost certainly is working on contingency (he gets a % of what she gets). If he quit, its because he no longer thinks there is a viable shot of payout. Also keep in mind it is a lot easier to win a civil suit than a criminal suit.

      • MB30SD

        oh well herroo .esq?

      • BerwynBomber

Right but he could also be worried about his name/reputation.

  • AlbertInTucson

31-20, Seattle? How sad that i would be happy with that.

    • willbest

I apparently know what it means to be a Bucs fan now.

      • AlbertInTucson

        Which is ALSO sad, no?

    • SC Dave

      A lot better than 44-3

  • Irish Sweetness

Will the Skins fans be singing ‘Baby come back’ for RGIII?

On second thoughts, who gives a fuck?

    • Cousins = bleh

He’s more aggressive then I thought. He def takes shots.

      • Irish Sweetness

Are they trying to trade RGIII to Dallas? How can you have him at #3??

        • I think at this point Gruden is just trying to humiliate him so that maybe he loses sponsors so he can actually care about football more than his products.

      • willbest

I need a 60 yard TD to Pierre Garcon type aggressive to start my week.

  • AlbertInTucson

Kane’s accuser’s lawyer has dumped his client.

    • Trac

If you can’t stand the heat, it’s best to get out of the kitchen. Selah!

  • AlbertInTucson

The Bears’ latest spanking gets an almost National audience on Sunday.

    • BerwynBomber

Who’s the Fox announcing crew for this Pickles-garnished scrum?

      • AlbertInTucson

        Nantz & Simms.

        • CanadaBear

          Could be a lot worse.

          • EnderWiggin

I’ve mentioned it a few times. Simms is one of my favorites. He is more likely to call out a CB for incompetence than he is to get on his knees for a QB.

          • CanadaBear

There’s only a few announcers that make me want to throw a brick through the TV but it seems like the Beloved get Joe Buck way more often than a crappy team should.

          • SC Dave

Buck is about as bad as I’ve ever heard, although Glanville was turrible.too.

          • SC Dave

            Amen

        • They aint bad.

  • Trac

In case I missed anyone, thanks everyone for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers.
