• EnderWiggin

First Mitch TD will be to Miller (15+ yards).

    • Cuck Cooper

It’s going to be a like attending a sock puppet party for the 1st time. hee hee

      Mitch and the bitch!

    • Johnnywad

      Shaheen

    • Irish Sweetness

      Okay, I got Deonte.

And let’s get an interception out of Doc Oc Floyd while he’s back there playing corner.

  • Irish Sweetness

    What’s Calvin Johnson up to?

    • CanadaBear

      Enjoying not being in pain!

      • AlbertInTucson

That assumes he IS no longer in pain, which isn’t necessarily so.

        • Johnnywad

          I’d guess closer to unlikely.

  • CanadaBear

Not that Cam doesn’t have the money or anything but I wonder how much he spends on clothes, hats, accessories in a year? He has more hideous clothes, ridiculous hats and outrageous accessories than Little Richard. Not that I would say that to his face.

    • willbest

Its called peacocking. Though when you are a starting NFL QB that isn’t necessary.

      • CanadaBear

I know what it’s all about Wil. I did reference Mr. Penniman! He and Liberace were the Kings (dare I say queens) of this sort of thing when I was growing up. Although Mr. Penniman always has maintained that he is bi.

        • Irish Sweetness

Was it Little Richard or Chuck Berry that was gay?

      • Cuck Cooper

Or… Cam fronted a few mill to a 3rd cousin who is an aspiring fashion designer and he’s trying to recoup is investment by modeling the line himself.

    • BearDown100393

I think he is color blind. Might also explain some of his on field issues.

  • willbest

    Games that might be good

    Carolina v Detriot
Seatle vs Rams?!?!?! would not have seen that coming
    GB v Dallas
Chiefs v Texans (going to make a point to watch this to see watson)

  • willbest

Unlike Jeff, I rather like Sunday football without the Bears. I feel it opens up my viewing options, without overloading the day. I dont have the attention or time to watch more than 1 game in a day anymore, and with MNF and TNF it is what it is.

    • BearDown100393

I don’t really care anymore. Sunday, Monday, Thursday, whatever.

      • CanadaBear

Being retired my dance card is usually wide open. If it’s a decent game, I’m watching.

    • BerwynBomber

To a degree that is because you and I live in Chicago (or technically greater CHI). Hence if the Bears aren’t playing the networks lift the silly blackout rule.

Well, at least that’s true of me. You’re a cord cutter, IIRC, so maybe the blackouts don’t effect you as much.

  • BearDown100393

“This whole organization needs to just move on. September was the preseason. Season starts tomorrow.”

    1st sentence – Agree.
2nd sentence – JFC NO! The games count. Accountability should be swift. What happened cannot be swept under.

3rd sentence – No, it started Week 1. Giraffe should have been benched Game 2. Time was wasted.

  • FresnoBear88

Aaron Roders just said ” Haven’t had any decent NFC rivalry in years”

    • CanadaBear

Hopefully it starts the next time the Beloved play the Fudge.

    • willbest

      Is he wrong?

    • willbest

In the nfcn nobody rivals them. The nfcs is roulette every year. Nfce has finally recovered from the nfcLeast. Cards were good for about 3 years and are a mess. 9ers had something and then imploded when Haurbs left. The annual main attraction in the nfc of late has been Rodgers vs. The Legion of Boom

    • Johnnywad

Well he’ll be thrilled to be chasing the Lions then.

  • CanadaBear

Holy Crap! Of all people to twat this out!!!!!!!!!!! Really?

My god the obsession Bears fans have with Jay Cutler should be studied by the American Psychiatric Association.

    • Cuck Cooper

To be fair, Jeff did say his defense of Cutler ended when Jay was released by the Bears. To the best of my recollection, Jeff has kept his word on that but yeah, I kinda get what you’re insinuating.

But… since he’s no longer in Chicago and let’s face it, since the cubboard is almost as “Bear” (hee hee)as when he arrived in Chicago, I kinda approve of Jeff’s message.

      • CanadaBear

Fair enough and good point that he gave it up when Cutler left but while Cutler was on the team, holy, moly, oly …

  • It’s all part of the plan

It’s like Gase doesn’t want to get first downs. Call a vertical pass. Jesus.

How many 1yd pass routes can one guy call?

  • willbest

Panthers undiscplined. Although that was ticky tack

  • It’s all part of the plan

    Gase unimpressive.
    Recent drive:
1st and 10 running back throwing a pass from the wildcat -overthrown
    2nd and 10 – run off tackle 0 yards
3rd and 10 – designed screen blown up by DT holding running back
    4th and 10 – punt
Crowd boos and wants Matt Moore……uh what?

    • willbest

You mean he requires better thrown balls?

I mean the reason I really like Jeffery is because what he does well covers a lot of QB sins, even if he isn’t in the same league as Julio or Antonio.

      • It’s all part of the plan

No it’s the little things like knowing how to get a first down after a catch. Getting separation, blocking , etc

  • lol booing Cutler already.

Love how that team turned into a 10-6 playoff caliber team who rattled off like 6 wins in a row in 2016 to this.

    Dooooont carrree.

Can the Panthers beat the Lions?

Zona looks done. Pass pass pass though.

    Jags upset Steelers?

    • It’s all part of the plan

Dude watch the game. He just had a pick but they were chanting for Moore after Ajayi fumbled and after the idiotic series that I mentioned above. It’s madness.
      I’ve watched every game.

    • willbest

Only if they stop committing stupid penalties.

      Zona is done.

I don’t think so, then again the AFCN looks shockingly weak this year after being one of the strong divisions in football the last decade.

  • willbest

“How much did taxpayers pay for this stunt” – some hack Jeff is retweeting.

Considering the NFL players have been using taxpayer funded stadiums to engage in their protests for over a year, I would venture to say the bill to taxpayers on this “free” speech has been quite excessive.

Oh you meant how much money has the taxpayer spent on speech I disagree with.

    • SC Dave

Maybe he needed to say something stupid about routes so he’d concentrate better on them?

    • I had a feeling. I was debating starting Lion’s D this week in FF cuz they’ve been on fire, but I had a feeling Cam would blow up after all that crap.

      Football more than stats

      • EnderWiggin

I started Big Ben instead of Newton…

        • lol Ender!!!!!
          Why ender, why!?

Then again, I started someone or other over Benjamin.

    • I have mixed feelings about him.
He’s like the Randy Moss of of D.

      • SC Dave

I don’t agree, but I understand why you say it.

And he just blew up another play.

  • It’s all part of the plan

With all the crappy kickers out there, you would think kids would be lining up to become kickers at a young age. If you are good you are going to make several million a year for 20+ years. hell Vinatieri is still kicking at 44. It is one of the safest jobs on an NFL team.

    • AlbertInTucson

      Joe Buck blamed the snap.

I hope his head comes off next time so it can be worth it.

    • SC Dave

Of course. Til the Mitchster fixes it

  • SC Dave

Wow. They just let a Raven play defense

  • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

… Jeff George Jr. is a QB at Illinois. making his Daddy proud. 22/45 246 yards 0TDs 3 INTs

    • BerwynBomber

I honestly thought Lovie would do better than he has post-Bears. Both at TB and the Illini he has been a bust.

      • Doesn’t surprise me.

So does his post-Bears career mean that he was riding on the talent Angelo provided him?

        shudders.

        • BerwynBomber

And Rivera as a DC? Old Sauce too, right?

    • It’s all part of the plan

What does that have to do with Jeff George?

  • Bender McLugh

    Thanks for nothing Dallas. Jackasses.

    • Dak should’ve slid at the 1.

That throw with 1 min left stopping the clock sure did come back to bite them in the ass.

    • SC Dave

      Dallas sucks.

  • BerwynBomber

Fucking Rodgers. That was some incredible stuff.

    • Cubsnlinux

What a QB. Singlehandedly won the game. How many times this was said, wow.

      • BerwynBomber

Yeah, that 3rd down Rodgers scramble was something else. Helluva game.

DAL is still a good team but they’re 2-3 and their rush D got gashed at times.

The Cheese may have found themselves an RB. That rookie (Jones) is shifty with good vision. But their D still blows.

        • Cubsnlinux

Rodgers fills a lot of gaps. NFCN is between Lions and Packers. I still think Lions are going to eventually beat themselves and GB will win the division.

          • BerwynBomber

DET has the best, most well=rounded NFCN team, but Rodgers has screwed them at the end of the year a few times recently and that could happen again.

          • SC Dave

            Fuck that. We’re winning it.

  • BearDown100393

Erin and the Officials make a formidable opponent.

  • FresnoBear88

I think the steelers locker room is collapsing and Tomlin is clearly loosing it..

    • BerwynBomber

“Players coach”. And yeah, it seems like things have gotten out of hand there.

    • Roth said something about not being able to do it anymore.
      Kinda a ‘no mas’ moment.

He’s been saying he’s retiring for a few years now.

What I think is happening is that he’s so beat up that he no longer wants to throw the deep ball anymore and take more hits.

So the Haley is pulling a Gase. Making Roth a small ball QB, which is frustrating the fuck out of his WRs and making Bell work extra hard cuz now the Ds are not respecting the deep zones.

      • It’s all part of the plan

        Gase playcalling is tiresome.

      • Irish Sweetness

He wanted to retire this off-season. Somebody talked him out of it.

  • BerwynBomber

So Watson and Trubisky on back-to-back nights home games, playing against formidable Ds, though Watson facing the better team/opposing O.

  • Cubsnlinux

Anyone know what the deal was with Jordy Nelson? He was on the sidelines for the last few important snaps. Super Bowls are not Rodgers is the best QB I have seen in my lifetime.

    • BerwynBomber

Rodgers is the best I’ve ever seen too, but unless he wins another ring or two, it is Tom Brady’s world and then everyone else.

And Brady is certainly the greatest pure pocket passer ever unless someone cares to tell us about Unitas.

      • AlbertInTucson

        Best of his era.

        Unitas’ played a different game.

        • BerwynBomber

True but didn’t he have some incredible TD streak? Seems like he is overlooked at times. Same for Otto Graham.

          • AlbertInTucson

And Unitas called most of his own plays.

And no “tuck rule” to save him.

  • AlbertInTucson

THAT does not look good, Houston.

    • BerwynBomber

      JJ done for the year?

      • AlbertInTucson

He sure had that “ Resigned to His Fate” look on his face.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Watt gets a cart ride.

    NOT good.

    • BerwynBomber

      And then an ambulance lift.

      • AlbertInTucson

And another look on his face that does not send a good message.

  • I’ve observed the same thing Collinsworth has.

Many Ds (including ours, somewhat) are mixing in a lot of 3 man rush.

If the O is predicated on 3 step drops, no way the pass rush could sack the QB.

So, why not put an extra man in coverage?

As long as you have 3 DLinemen bullrushing, keeping their lanes, and shrinking the pocket, it’ll be hard for the QB to hit a receiver on quick Brady type passes.

It’s an interesting counter to all that WCO bullshit.

    • BerwynBomber

And more and more teams have D packages which include a 3rd S playing an LB spot.

      • That’s why I like our O.

It’s more of a Shanny bootleg type of O with two effective runners, so it’s hard to use that D.

But on all those Haley-Gase-Trestman-McAdoo type Os, it should work as long as it’s mixed in strategically.

    • willbest

Its the anti-Irish. Rush less peole!

      • It is. and Irish of all ppl should know how blitzing those Os can destroy a D.

That’s basically how Marino beat the 85 Bears, but Buddy wouldn’t stop sending dudes.

I think it works against statue type QBs.

As we just saw with Alex Smith, if the QB can run, there’s a lot of room within only 3 rushers.

        • Irish Sweetness

I do. But you create more havoc than not. Very few QBs have the tools to beat a rushing D. Very few.

    • Irish Sweetness

So why doesn’t that work for Fangio’s brand of pussy-defense? It doesn’t.

What’s hard for a QB – more than anything – is getting rushed, having no time to find any receiver. It’s the common factor in all bed-shitting events.

Imagine the 85 Bears D with a three man rush ….. see? Takes a Dan Marino release and balls of steel to beat the pressure.

  • Watson has more tackles than pass completions?

  • willbest

It just looks like KCs year

    • That’s what I figured (reason I drafted Hunt and got Alex Smith at QB as soon as possible off waivers)

Alex Smith in that Pats game came out like a man possessed.

He is not the same dude who went a whole yr without throwing a TD to a WR.

Drafting Mahomes lit a fire on his ass.

      It generally does.

So is Reid the second best HC of his generation? Dude seems to win w/out great QBs. Still missing that elusive SB win but he has had an impressive career.

    • willbest

You don’t like Tomlin or Carrol for that?

      • BerwynBomber

But Tomlin had Big Ben and Carrol has Wilson.

Reid’s had McNabb, Vick (for a spell) and now Smith. And yes, if you look at McNabb’s career efficiency #s they’re kinda meh.

      • No way Tomlin.

I think he rode Lebau Ds to SBs.

    • Irish Sweetness

How cool was ST:Discovery? Love this show.

Materialization anywhere in the universe based on a spore-drive that uses a tardigrade-bug-type-deal as the navigation computer. And they wouldn’t pull that out against the Borg later on?

Nice to see they’re smoking pollen over at CBS.

    • I’m guessing that Discovery is a Section 31 ship and captain.

At first I thought that they were working on the Gensis project. Still might be.

But if I had to take a guess, Discovery is section 31.

off the books. So maybe Starfleet during Picard’s era wasn’t privy to their findings.

Star trek has a history of ignoring tech. Like everything Voyager brought back.

Star Trek has a history of ignoring/changing its own history.

        • yeah, Voyager brought back a bunch of Borg tech to combat them.

Though did Voyager end before the Picard-v-Borg movies?

In the timeline I think Voyager returned between insurrection and Nemesis. Janeway was even in Nemesis. Which begs the question, why in the hell the Enterprise didn’t bust out the transphasic torpedos, and all that other shit when Picard’s clone showed up with the super ship.

It was utter garbage. For starters its not in any of the other trek universes, and she fucking mutinies for no good reason

      • Yeah, the mutiny wasn’t believable, esp since she was supposedly trained by Vulcans.

I mean, is there such a thing as a Vulcan mutineer?

I understand her parents were killed by Klingons, but so much for her Vulcan discipline.

I’m still giving it a chance. Many of the star trek’s 1st season were borderline horrible.

I think we all remember the ‘mandigo’ planet kidnapping a white girl. Ya, that happened.

The Mitch Trubisky era starts in about 20 hours from now and I am giddy with anticipation. I haven’t been this excited about Bears football in a long time. Can’t sleep tonight! Bear Down!

    This story is the bomb…

Kijuana Nige’s Statement Saying She Released Dolphins Chris Foerster Snorting Coke Because Racial Injustice

“The white people mad at me like I forced blow down this man’s nose and like I recorded it on tha low.

No those are his habits and he recorded himself and sent it to me professing his love.

So quick to make excuses for him but will roast a minority player over an anthem, dog fights, weed, domestic issues etc.

But y’all keep saying ALL LIVES MATTER STFU.”

I just hate the goddam Packers so much. They always pull that shit off. So utterly sick and tired of it. Without a defense and an offensive line, there they sit, at 4-1, and once again alone with the division lead, and starters due to come back to the field soon. Sigh……

Aaron Rodgers does that to you.
