DBB Weekend Show Featuring Adam Jahns of the Sun-Times [AUDIO]

| September 22nd, 2017

On this episode of the Weekend Show:

  • Jeff breaks down the BS surrounding the Bears not playing Mitch Trubisky, including their “plan”.
  • Adam Jahns of the Sun-Times on injuries (“too big, too strong”), Loggains/Fangio (I got him leaning Loggains) and the main event at QB – where he disputes much of what Jeff believes, including arguing for an actual plan based upon the career of Drew Brees.
  • Reverend Dave on Patriots fans in London, with a special shoutout to St. Croix and Puerto Rico.
  • Music from The Beatles! New opening number! Same closing number!

They are going to stick with the plan Pace has in mind until something beyond their control (injury) forces their hand. Might as well find a new hobby until MT takes the field. Glennon is so bad he is actually making a competitive team non-competitive. We could be a 7-9 team but not until the Giraffe is gone

    • Corporal Clott

      Here’s a few possibilities:

      A. GP is spot on and Pace and or the Bears ownership is playing head games with the fans.

      B. Trubinsky Ain’t ready for primetime.

      C. Glennon was able to secure starter status in his contract when he signed with the Bears and barring an injury to Glennon, Trubinsky was never going to start this year. Pace probably knew this season was not going anywhere so he dropped his pants to secure a QB before the draft.

      • Irish Sweetness

Boredom is the curse of the wealthy, allegedly. It would make perfect sense for silver spooners to amuse themselves by fucking with the poor. They’ve been doing it for thousands of years.

        • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

i wouldn’t take it that far Irish.

        • Corporal Clott

Up vote on you first sentence but like GP, I don’t think the McCaskey front office is guilty of doing anything more than being football incompetent.

      • Sahr Gborie

        1. They have no reason to do so. Money is all they care about. Faak with the fans and you lose money. But we as fans love the bears too much to turn away from the team
        2. He is ready for Primetime. He will struggle but he is ready
        3. Pace is a faak boy. But he got us MT for his future HC knowing he can’t get rid of Fox just yet

      • King of DBB

Ugh. Can I buy you guys reading comprehension for Christmas?

Pace selected MT and stashed him away as the best of all possible plans to weather what he saw would be a couple more bad seasons.

They are not losing to fuck with you. That is not the point. HE KNEW he would lose, so the calculus was: how can I make this hopeful? The point was there was a way to build a team, with D and lineman, and Pace sidestepped it in favor of a shiny toy he could tease the fans with.

This was the most rational strategy to deflect criticism and stay in place.

No other scout or NFL exec thought the kid was in Andrew Luck or John Elway’s league. What he did only makes sense via the prism of long team Halas Hall survival. And Hub and others have cautiously come close to this: Dan Bernstein also says exactly what I say just straight and outright. So does Mully in a joking way.

        • CanadaBear

Conspiracy theories are always a little confusing.

          • Corporal Clott

You have also misunderstood my comment Sir. Hmm.. let’s see if any other isles need a cleanup.

          • CanadaBear

            I was replying to GP.

          • Corporal Clott

            Got it!

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

it’s all a puppet show with our alien overlords pulling the strings.

        • Corporal Clott

No offense but what “I meant to say” by using the term “head games” is that in actuality, based on recent history, they almost certainly have no facking clue what they are doing but they think they have this thing under control.

I know you don’t think they are facking up the works on purpose.

    • willbest

The defense has generated zero take aways, and it even has trouble getting off the field in less than 6 minutes. The special teams is not um… crisp. I don’t know exactly what about this team makes you think its competitive.

Could they have won the Atlanta game? Sure, but that loss wasn’t all on Glennon. And since then the team has lost more starters.

      • SC Dave

Thanks for trying, will, but some people only see one thing.

      • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

50 yards through first 3 quarters. nope not all his fault.

        • willbest

          No takeaways through 8 quarters.

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

Not true, we had a fumble recovery last week.

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

not true, other teams have taken the ball away from us plenty.

  • SC Dave

.. and we’re tired of the broken record.

  • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

    AMEN!!! PREACH IT, JEFF!

  • Irish Sweetness

What are Loggains and Fangio’s qualifications to lead an organization?

    • BearDown100393

      Better than any McCaskey.

    • Sahr Gborie

What are the qualifications of any first time head coach? Would we like someone experienced? Hell yeah. But it takes more than that. You have to be a motivator, leader of men and a strategist who can adapt and overcome.

      1. The man from Michigan
      2. Some young offensive minded coordinator to work with MT and breath new life into the organization. Look at the Thursday Night game if you need any proof.
      3. Fangio/Toube
      4. Offensive minded college coach (not too fond of college coaches making the transition to the NFL at the expense of the bears)

  • chitownproud85

Dat theme though. A+ for Jahns cameo

    • DaBearsBlog

It’s way better I think and shorter!

      • SC Dave

Truth is debatable, taste is not.

It’s more polished, but I just liked the bongos. They were… primal. Kinda like football.

  • BearDown100393

“But Glennon isn’t as good as Hoyer.”

    Scary. But not arguing.

    • Sahr Gborie

Da destroya was never that good but to think that Glennon is worse is truly a scary thought. Makes me want to question everything about Pace’s ability to evaluate talent if I did not believe that Giraffe Neck was a smoke screen to get MT

      • BearDown100393

I have to believe Trubisky is better with much higher ceiling potential.

Play him and lets find out.

        • Sahr Gborie

He is better. However Pace will not/does not want to play him under Fox. He wants him playing under the most ideal circumstances and that’s definitely not under Fox

          • BearDown100393

If so, let’s fire Fox now and get this kid rolling.

          • Sahr Gborie

            1. Ownership wants Fox.
            2. Ownership does not want to pay just to get rid of a bad coach. Just goes to show how out of touch they are. Fox is doing more harm by being on the team than by being fired….just like Glennon
            3. Who will be the replacement for Fox for the rest if the season: Fangio or Loggains?

          • BearDown100393

            1. Fans want ownership to fire Fox.
            2. Fans pay raising prices every year so ownership should either learn their business properly or sell altogether if too cheap to replace a bad hire. 9 wins. 3 years. George promised accountability.
            3. Bird Cage, interim. If this had been done properly, Gase would have been the HC here and not in Miami. Build the offense. No choice as MT was the 2nd pick.
            4. Status quo and tanking a season is draining this fan base.

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

FYI – Ownership my not want to pay just to get rid of a bad coach, but they paid the last 2 to go away.

          • CanadaBear

Will they let Fox get into his lame-duck season without new paper? They usually don’t but never says never (ask Jim Caldwell). I don’t see any scenario where Foxy gets extended so at best he has 1.8 years to go.

    • Scharfinator

Hoyer tore it up last night.

    • willbest

I don’t think you have enough evidence to conclude one way or the other.

      • WP4Life

If glennon plays like Hoyer last night – I would be happy with that.

        • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

if Glennon starts the game with a virtual pick 6 a sniper from the local plumbers union will take him down.

          • WP4Life

            very true

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

It felt like he was playing for his position last night. it didn’t work out for them in the end but he definitely pushed the ball more aggressively without being an idiot about it.

  • Scharfinator

When the Bears fall apart this weekend, you may want to turn to this youtube channel. I find it oddly soothing.

  • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

A buddy from Pitt is coming in town this weekend. I’m debating going to the game with them.
Glennon inspires no passion and I can’t support it. Wake me up when the kid gets in. Until then just deposit my winnings directly into my Chase account please. Thank you.

    • CanadaBear

Is the ticket after market already below the Mendoza line?

      • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

I would just get it at the game from some desperate scalper.

        • CanadaBear

I gotta imagine the tix are going below face value. If things don’t improve, those last two home games will be short about 50k fans.

    • I still say fans should show up and chant “let’s bench Glennon” in a deafening chorus the whole time the offense is on the field. Make them use a silent count at home because of their own stupidity. Make Fox wallow in that misery.

      • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

can’t cheer against the team, but cannot support their terrible decisions either.

        • it’s not cheering against the team. It’s cheering against one indefensible decision they continue to make.

          • KentuckyBearsFan

yeah it’s like supporting the Bulls now.

            Incompetence is incompetence.

          • SC Dave

It is cheering against the team.

      • DaCoaches Mustache

They need to chant something a bit more catchy. Might I suggest “Mitchel, Mitchel”

  • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

My niece got a concussion playing soccer the other day. I’m scared, is she going to now join a street gang, murder various rivals throughout the years and seriously wound others, get caught for it and then kill herself in prison?
If she does that can I sue anyone? Please tell me that I can sue somebody.

    • Is she strapping on a helmet the next day and battering her head like a ram against a 200 pound meatbag for the next 10 yrs?

      #subconcussiveHits

Also, to be clear, I’m not excusing Hernandez. Obviously he was a dirtbag.

But the more the sciences inform us, the more we learn about causation.

For instance, we all know if you grow up poor in an abusive family, the outcome usually is not good.

      cause-effect.

Doesn’t mean those ppl shouldn’t be locked up if violent for the good of civilization

      • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

dude, he was 99% involved in an attempted double murder in 2007!!! He was fucking 17!!! haha,

        • The study found CTE in HS players. Even freaking Kickers and Punters!

Perhaps there’s a reason the “dumb jock” stereotype exists

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZVdR19E5mU

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

where are the throngs of murderous soccer bitches who have suffered multiple sub concussive and concussive hits?

Jesus Christ at some fucking point we need to hold someone accountable for something.

          • Is there studies proving soccer players suffer as many subconcussive hits as football players? I read that they get concussions, but from a practical stand point, they’re not banging their heads as much as football players. That’s just common sense.

I also don’t think CTE is the LONE cause.

For instance, Young no doubt has it. But he grew up around mormons, not bloods, so I doubt he’s going to cap any one.

CTE might just be another part to the puzzle. We all know other parts exist, like education, family, socio-ecnomic institutions, etc.

            But biology can’t be ignored.

Many football players like Sea, Deurson, etc have sworn that CTE has utterly changed them, for the worse. They even killed themselves in such a way to prove it.

Maybe we should heed their dying warning.

            #PhineasGage

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

He was 17. This is America in a Florida nutshell.

          • Ppl can be brain damaged at any age.

Edit. And Hernandez’ CTE was 40 years advanced

“The brain scan came as a surprise even to researchers who for years have been studying the relationship between brain disease and deaths of professional football players.

Aaron Hernandez, the former New England Patriots tight end and a convicted murderer, was 27 when he committed suicide in April. Yet a posthumous examination of his brain showed he had such a severe form of the degenerative brain disease C.T.E. that the damage was akin to that of players well into their 60s.”

            https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/21/sports/aaron-hernandez-cte-brain.html

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

I am becoming brain damaged even thinking about this as a rationalization.

It just happened. I am now brain damaged. The years of football didn’t do it, the concussions, the broken neck, all of the hits for years and years. It has now just happened….and now I must kill.

          • There’s a diff between cause and justification.

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

It was only a matter of time. I heard Trade Winds rum has been linked to brain damage.

          • King of DBB

DBB does that to a person

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

You sound like Casey Anthony’s attorney. I ask you to link an 8 year murder spree to the cognitive condition know as CTE….because that’s why Casey Anthony’s attorney just started intimating.
Uh, except he said he was completely innocent……which the fuck is it?

            #WeDeserveEverythingThatHappens

          • There’s no way, if I were a lawyer, that I would take that case to the NFL believing I could win. It’s rather simple.

            This is SCIENCE, not me:

“C.T.E. is often marked by problems with controlling aggression and
impulses, and some degree of dementia, as well as mood swings, lapses in
            judgment and a disorganized manner.”

Even IF true, no one can prove just how impaired CTE made Hernandez. We do have “insanity” as a defense, right? But going from A to B won’t be proven definitely in our lifetime.

Even if it is found that 100% of of violent criminals in prison suffer from CTE, we’re still going to be locking them up.

CTE will just become another contributing factor like getting beat as a kid, poor education, violent environment.

We may feel bad for ppl who were exposed to all that, but society still locks them up.

Like I said, causation is not justification.

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

All our corrupt system cares about is causation or the appearance of causation or the hint of causation or the threat of possible causation because that’s how you assign blame and then assess the monetary reward.
It’s the bedrock of our entire litigation protocol. Ain’t you never seen Suits?

          • AlbertInTucson

Hernandez was thug long before he got to the NFL.

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

I posted an article a couple threads back, where a neuropathologist was researching CTE because he was coach of his son’s team. And basically he found that they are still trying to determine the exact causes of CTE, and what mitigating factors also play a role in it. A lot is still not known about CTE.

          • If you can, repost? Dunno if I caught that, or the name of the researches and I can google.

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis
          • Coolio. Thanks. I ran across this Frontline doc too a while back.

No one, it seems, wants accountability for any of the abject pieces of shit that pollute the human gene pool.

And what the fuck, Butch? Are you auditioning for some shitbag firm stuffed with parasitic ambulance chasers?

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

yes, because athletically inclined people come from better gene pools for physical prowess.
smart kids come from smart parents and smart homes.

Some gene pools have both smarts and physical gifts.

  • UGhhh. JEFF. BRING BACK THE BONGOS.

To me the bongos were a fun Animal House ditty, simple and pleasant.

Now I feel like I’m in some cheezy blaxploitation movie. And the electronica sounds like the soundtrack of every Beverly HIlls Cop flick ever made.

    BRING. BACK. THE. BONGOS.

    #maga

    • SC Dave

      I prefer the bongos too.

  • “The fans have now moved on from Fox” – Jeff

Glad they’re now on the bandwagon. Plenty of room still.

  • I started off thinking Trub needs to sit a yr to fully develop. This was based solely on his NC tape, and before the Bears even drafted him.

But once the Bears drafted him, and from April to now, I’ve changed my mind a bit. I think he should start against the Vikes.

    Here’s why.

    1. Glennon was supposed to be at the VERY least Hoyer level. He’s not (no surprise to me, but might come as a surprise to others). Hoyer never looked as terrible as Glennon did last week. So we get all the downside of a Cutler meltdown without any of the upside. Awesome.

Some might say, it was ONLY one game. OK. So he has two more games to prove otherwise. Think that’s reasonable.

    2. Trub quite frankly looked better than expected in PS. Worst case scenario was that he would look like Goff did last PS. Totally lost. He didn’t. He looked more like Dak, and unlike Watson or Kizer, Trub was more consistently superb. At worst I think he’s rookie Wentz. At best Dak.

    3. This coaching staff is gone after 17. All here know my Fox hate aka Week End at Bernies.

I doubt any of them survive. So what’s the point of Trub “learning” Birdcage’s system? It’s more important for Trub to learn Ds – ON THE FIELD.

Roth discussed that the best way to learn defenses, coverages, etc is to actually play, and this will benefit Trub more in the long run.

Sad truth is, Trub will likely be learning an entirely new system under a new HC/OC next season, so what will carry over more is not him absorbing the playbook on the sidelines, but learning defenses on the field.

    4. Trub will build SOME sorta chemistry. Perhaps not with any of the WRs because I don’t expect any of these WRs will be around next yr, but he can build some chemistry with Whitehair, Leno, Sitton, Long, who should be around the next 2-3 yrs. At the very least Whitehair who SHOULD be the C for the next decade. Maybe jump start the Shaheen connection.

Well, that’s my take On top of what Jahns explained, better to have Trub get a full week of practice in, and that should be vs Vikes.

A part of me wants to unleash him against the Puke, though. Must admit.

But week #5 doesn’t seem too unreasonable, on all sides.

(Barring Glennon suddenly transforming into Brady).

    • SC Dave

It would be cool were Trubs to become the “anti-Jay” with respect to Green Bay. THAT could never start too soon.

    • willbest

I would like to point out that despite Hoyer’s competent game last night, he is still on pace to have his worst season ever.

      • It’s an odd season in that many Os and QBs have started off slowly.

Newton, Palmer, Tyrod, have thrown 2TDs
Eli, Wilson, Mariotta have ONE TD

        Dalton has thrown NO TDs

And all of them are supposedly superior and on way better teams than Hoyer.

It’s also Hoyer’s first yr with the team and had to re-learn the system, unlike those other QBs.

We’ll see as the season goes on.

        • willbest

I am starting to think that you are related to Hoyer somehow.

          • Why? everything above is fact.

He could flame out. I don’t really care.

I just think he gets a bum rap like Alex Smith.

I like underdogs. Hoyer is the ultimate underdog.

A bald, not physically gifted, undrafted QB who has outplayed a lot of 1st rounders.

            Fact.

          • CanadaBear

Gotta admit it was still funny coming from Wil.

          • willbest

I never road cutty’s cock. I merely insisted the contract was never as bad as people thought it was.

          • “humor challenged”

            You are truly Canadian!

          • CanadaBear

            “Humor Challenged”

            Meh.

I was told I need to GET a sense of humor by you-know-who.

          • CanadaBear

Sometimes people are just screwing around and Wil gets analytical and basically takes all the laughs out of a situation. No big deal for sure. Speaking of you-know-who, I couldn’t get through the podcast. Not even close. Oh well, once MT is starting for about a month and Jeff is done with his I told you so’s, the podcasts should improve for me.

          • willbest

There are a lot of JAGs that have outperformed first round picks. That doesn’t make them underdogs. The reason he don’t get no respect is because his time at cleveland and his playoff game in houston. His 4 games of wonder in Chicago made him a passable bridge QB while Kyle waits for Cousins (or grabs Darnold).

        • BerwynBomber

Rodgers has started slow too. But that seems his M.O. the last few years. And then he shifts through higher gears like an F1 driver in the second half of the season.

      • BerwynBomber

Too early to tell. Remember, his second game was @SEA. Doubtful many QBs will walk out of their with good games.

  • evantonio

Kyle Long not listed on the injury report!

    • I heard Fox presser today. Reporter asked if Long was on a ‘snap count’ to which he answered, thumb firmly up ass “well, uhm, kinda hard for an olinemen to be on a snap count’

But he ‘elaborated’ that Long will be closely monitored, whatever that means.

Fox also didn’t say which side Long would play.

Because he’s a strategic mastermind and I’m sure the Steelers will be up all night trying to guess if Long will ineffective on the left or right side.

      • CanadaBear

I’m hoping Long looks close to his old self. Not likely, but I at least have some hope for him. Unlike W@B.

    • BearDown100393

Give what you got left Kyle.

      …yet….?

  • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

1 good thing this weekend is that Steelers are a little banged up.
    TJ Watt out
Tuit – probably playing- but has a bicep injury
    Gilbert – RT Out

Watt looked unstoppable week 1, and when he went out last week it was noticeable.
With knowing that I am going to adjust my 54-7 prediction to 45-7

    • SC Dave

so we get nine *less* points since Watt Jr is out?

If I’m Loggains I tell Glennon, “I don’t care about picks. You must take 3 deep shots to Wheaton today. Even if he’s doubled, throw it.”
Glennon is so gun shy at this point that he’s going to harm the team by never risking anything. A QB should be fucking ITCHING to fire it down the field when given the chance. Ours goes to the safety valve first like a cuck.

    • CanadaBear

Dare I say like a red-headed stepchild! Hopefully Kyle will help stop the bleeding on the OL. Probably asking too much.

      • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

I’ve already secured safe passage to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Dolphins game on Sunday. I think the Bears game will be on as well probably.
I’m going to watch a QB fucking rain down bombs shock and awe style like Sega Madden 1997 and you guys can watch 10 Yard Fight over here.

        • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

You can watch the same game. Roethlisberger could very easily be the one raining down bombs.

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

I want the Bears to win badly. If they do I’m happy. If they don’t then at least Cutty has to win so a little part of all of us does. If they both lose then I hope we at least break Rapermeisters hand or something.

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

aren’t you betting against the Bears?

          • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

            yes

        • CanadaBear

I think we have two more games of Glennon and then things change.

          • willbest

In my current fever dream, Trubisky takes the field Thursday night at Lambeau and matches Rodgers TD for TD engineering a TD in the final second of the game bringing it to 42-41. Fox is incapacitated and Loggains finds his ballsack and goes for 2. Bears win 43-42 foreshadowing a decade of humiliation about to befall the Packers.

          • CanadaBear

Your dreams are SO much better than mine! Let’s hope.

          • WP4Life

YES. I’m flying in for that game. GO BEARS!!!

I used to be the mgr of a softball team in a company league. I always brought a portable bar. It got a lot of use! One game we were playing the engineers for a keg of beer. Loser buys. We were drinking all game and as fate would have it we lost in the last inning. The engineers come over to drink free beer (they abstained the entire game). The keg was floating within five minutes. They weren’t impressed. You can only imagine how much we cared!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you guys find it odd that Trump is angrier about a NFL’er taking a stand against injustice than a neo-nazi driving into a crowd of people?

    • King of DBB

Odd? Why would it be odd?

It’s like saying the Joker’s behavior in Batman is “odd”. Not for him, it’s not.

      • CanadaBear

I try to stay out of this as much as possible but not sure how anyone other than a racist can defend this behavior.

        • Suns Out, Buns out, Ciggy In

My wet dream is that it’s so bad with Trump that the ultra left puts forth a loony Sanders/Warren ticket and then a moderate emerges from the Dem party and we move to the center.

    • BearDown100393

      When in Alabama….

    • BerwynBomber

If over the next three years ACA isn’t repealed and we avoid a nuclear war, I’ll consider it a win.

      • willbest

ACA is objectively a pile of shit. I don’t understand why its a win for it to still be the law of the land.

        • BerwynBomber

ACA eliminated pre-existing condition discrimination, provided financial subsidies to those needing individual market assistance and expanded Medicaid.

What do you have that doesn’t include the loss of millions of coverage for people which would result in thousands of unnecessary deaths and millions of increased financial hardship stories?

The real objective pile of shit is Trump, the GOP and any “healthcare” plan their rich donors require them to vomit up for our consumption.

          • SC Dave

            “You can keep your doctor”.

          • willbest

Well at least you seem to be aware that the ACA is a wealth transfer from the healthy people to the sick people. Now you might have it confused that the sick people are poor and the healthy people are rich.

You are probably also aware that as a necessary condition premiums had to go up. Did you consider this a tax? Because if the government is making you buy something it deliberately made more expensive, I would consider that a tax. As a tax goes its hyper regressive. I know they tossed that ~3% in investment income in there, but that is peanuts compared to what they did with the mandate/premium hike.

Anyway things Obamacare has observably done
            1) Reduced provider networks, and therefore competition
            2) Triggered a mergers and acquisition bonanza across the healthcare industry, again reducing competition
            3) Generated billions of dollars in new compliance costs while not providing much in the way of economizing

The net effect you see every November when your premiums jump another 20-30%. Whats the rate of inflation? 2%? Not exactly sustainable, but then that was the plan.

Here is the issue, people weren’t dying on the streets before Obamacare, and people run out of options even with it. Medical bankruptcies didn’t disappear, the early indicator is it didn’t even slow it down. So it reordered 17% of the economy, slapped a large tax on the middle class, and has yet to provide tangible benefits past making hospitals and pharmaceutical companies wealthier.

I don’t know how you consider that a win by any metric.

Now that doesn’t mean the GOP should just go in with this repeal. In fact, it will create another massive disruption, and raise prices. That is probably why the GOP really can’t get it done and why they sent a guy who is going to be dead in 3 months out to be the villain. That doesn’t mean Obamacare shouldn’t scrapped. Its going to need to be in about 5 years anyway, since it was designed to fail about a decade after implementation.

The inexcusable aspect to all of this isn’t that the GOP is trying to get rid of bad legislation. its that they had 7 years to lock policy wonks in a room and come out with something they could whip up the votes for that would ideally, increase competition.

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

Any government care that does not address the cost of healthcare is going to fail. Until they regulate the costs, anything they come up is going to fail eventually.

          • willbest

Why do you think you can regulate costs without negatively affecting quality of care?

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

not cost of insurance, cost of medical care in general. Why can you cross a border and get meds at 1/3 of the cost? I went to ER last year because I thought i broke my ankle, x-rays and crutches was close to $1500 I saw a doc for about 45 seconds. Should it really cost that much? We have companies jacking up costs all the time, just look at epipens or Shkreli, those are 2 instances where there was outcry and investigations, you think other companies aren’t inflating their costs just not to that extent. Also look at what the drug companies did to diabetic meds, there were cheap drugs that managed the disease great for a lot of people, but they were pushed off the market in favor of newer drugs. Why? Because the new stuff was more profitable.

      • SC Dave

        ACA is a fucking disaster

        • BerwynBomber

It is the best social program EVER compared to any GOP plan.

          • SC Dave

Dead wrong. Try the interstate highway system.

    • willbest

I think it is odd you came to that conclusion, since we know for a fact antifa started that riot. This has been admitted to by many in the meida, democrat politicians, and even GP. So Trump’s tone at the time was perfectly in line with reality.

I also think it odd that people somehow believe that a guy who turned a hundred million into a couple billion and a bunch of tweets into the presidency doesn’t tend to grasp what he is doing most of the time. You can’t fail up that often without a fair amount of competency.

      • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

You absolutely can fail up that often. You have to sell your soul first, but it is possible.

        • willbest
