    25% meatheads. Wow.

    • Sahr Gborie

They don’t understand or care about the risk involved in playing Money Mitch too early. If meatheads think they are upset about the pick we traded to get him wait until you play him early and he gets injured. That’s when things will really hit the fan

    • Bender McLugh

      YOU PLAY NOW!

  • Sahr Gborie

The reward of seeing Money Mitch play just because we want to see him at is not worth the two 3s we risked to get him or the possibility of him getting hurt especially when he is not ready

    • DaCoaches Mustache

If he’s better than Glennon in camp, play him. Plain and simple. It worked out for Russel Wilson and he was a frickin 3rd rounder. Strong running game, strong defense. Play the kid if he’s better.

Kevin White is enjoying his rookie contract having done jack shit on the field. Giving a Maserati to girlfriend? Pace should give him Trub’s old Toyota.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White’s car was among those taken in what is believed to be a series of so-called “bumper tapping” carjackings in Chicago, a source confirmed to NBC 5.

Around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, White’s Maserati, driven by his girlfriend, was taken after a minor collision in the 400 block of North May in the city’s West Town neighborhood, a police source said.

Chicago authorities confirmed a 26-year-old woman was driving on that block when she was rear-ended at a stop sign. When she exited the Maserati to check for damage, two men got inside and drove off in the car.

    • Irish Sweetness

      Where stars are born, Will!

  • Is it really that bad if he plays day one? My view is, if he is playing day one then that means he looked way better than Glennon during the summer and training camp which made it impossible for them not to have him start at QB. That is the hope at least.

    • Irish Sweetness

I couldn’t think of anything worse to do than start him on day one, Ryan. Especially after Glennon would be getting 18 million sitting on the bench. Nope. Couldn’t think of a more stupid, pointless thing to do, when everything is pointing at doing the exact opposite.

Pace knew he was drafting a top young inexperienced QB when he paid Mike Glennon serious coin. Mitch isn’t ready and Pace has already told the world that.

      • leftcoast dave

Learn that kid up before he get’s his butt whooped. Make sure he knows how to identify his targets, esp the one where he can release quickly.

      • Sahr Gborie

Pace was covering his ass by overpaying for Giraffe so that it would limit the amount of people asking for Money Mitch to play.

        • CanadaBear

He was taking two shots at finding a QB. And what’s with the Money Mitch? Don’t think that’s catching on.

        • Johnnywad

Yes. Nothing screams “I’m covering my ass!” like “overpaying” a QB the ordinary dipshit fan doesn’t want so he can draft a rookie QB the ordinary dipshit fan doesn’t want.

Further, Ryan Pace doesn’t give the slightest bit of a damn what folks without an ounce of football acumen think.

      • Agree. Was hearing Kurt Warner the other day, and he said it’s important for a GM to recognize what type of QB he has. Some need a bit of time to buffer the overwhelming leap to the NFL while others can take the lumps without it traumatizing or ruining them.
Warner himself took a circuitous route. And we all know the story of Vadgers sitting (or Young)
It’s not just that Trub only played 13 games but that the O was not an NFL style like w Wentz.
Everyone makes a big issue about nit knowing the hard count, but that in itself is not worrying. What is more worrying is what ELSE doesn’t he know? It’s like if u take ur mercedes to a dealership and their mechanic doesn’t know what a generator is.
Sure the mechanic likely never crosses a generator in fixing new Mercedes but nonetheless would make me wonder what else is lacking.

Sit Trubster. He’ll get his shot sooner or later

        • BearDown100393

Quantum physics is confusing Mitch Trubisky. Worrisome.

    • BearDown100393

If Mitch Trubisky is that much better in training camp than the Giraffe must be truly terrible.

    • Sahr Gborie

lets say he beats Giraffe Neck:
      1. pace was blinded by his love for Giraffe
      2. Giraffe really sucks to be beat out by a rookie
      3. Money Mitch was worth the two 3s
      4. Sanchez/Connor should start so Money Mitch has more time to learn and get better

      • BearDown100393

        5. Trubisky and Giraffe both suck. However the Giraffe is worse and loses out. Fire Pace.

    • leftcoast dave

Yep, it is really that bad. They have a tutor to help with the play book. Not that the dude’s dumb, but that is the big step up he faces. If he is on the field in day one, that means he is out there with a truncated play book and learning as he goes. Better to let him watch and learn with Sanchez in his ear the whole game.

Bring him out when he is ready, hopefully next year at the soonest, meaning Glenny kicks butt. He knows the game.

      • Joecashflow

The speed of the game at ground level, I’m sure will amaze him. Starting him would be a total confidence buster. If a rookie hesitates on the field, much higher risk of early injury. Couldn’t agree with you more.

      • Irish Sweetness

Mahomes has already admitted he was taken aback by the KC playbook.

        Shit got real.

  • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

I really don’t care when Trubs play, If he is ready game 1 (which I doubt) and is significantly better than Glennon then play him. If not and we are at game 12 next year and there is no chance for the team to even get to .500 on the year, put the kid in. Ready or not, just get him some real game experience. Get him out there and let him make mistakes and take some lumps in a 4 game stretch.

    • Irish Sweetness

That puts Glennon starting and remaining the QB at about 98%?

  • Ososfan

Opening Day 2019, also on that day we will have ANOTHER stud First round OLB and S Pace drafted EARLY after a team traded the farm for recent pro-bowl QB: Mike Glennon…

    • SC Dave

If Glennon is PB, you DO NOT trade him.

      • Irish Sweetness

He’s worth more then. Possibly two firsts.

But first you’d have to have seen enough in Mitchell to ask him to carry the can.

Tomorrow’s poll question should be ‘When will people start irrationally yelling for Trubisky to start playing?’
    A. after 1st Preseason Game
    B. after 3rd Preseason Game
    C. after 1st regular season game.
    D. after it is reported Glennon threw an interception in practice.

    • BearDown100393

      E. after Giraffe arranges a press conference and announces to the world that he is stepping aside as starting quarterback of the Chicago Bears.

    • Same ppl who were booing him at the Bulls game will be calling for him to start once Glennon chucks his first INT.

      • BearDown100393

Those same people still believe D-Rose is a Bull also.

    • Ososfan

Haha true that. Trub’s footwork looks amazing, holy crap, small, quick, compact steps. That’s the only good thing I saw so far….

      • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

really. we should have drafted him last year!

    • AlbertInTucson

      E. Yesterday.

      • AlbertInTucson

        Sarcasm.

        I voted “…Whenever he’s ready.”

  • Joecashflow

Just voted. As expected the majority on this board voted for patience. Smart, life long fans, not fair weather. I am much less interested after a shit season in all the draft and practice hoopla. Let’s get our studs healthy at some time this season and see some progress towards the end. Mr Biscuit will get his chances. No Bears QB starts 16 since Grossman, as I recall. So what happens happens.

    • EnderWiggin

Cutty started all 16 three or four times.

      • Scharfinator

He only started 16 for the Bears in his first season with them.

        • EnderWiggin

Sure enough. Not sure where I came up with that.

          • AlbertInTucson

Probably because he DID start 15 games in 4 other seasons.
            (Correction: 3 other seasons).

He is, by far, the most durable Bears QB since the advent of the 16 games schedule.

Since 1978, the first 16 game season, the Bears have had exactly 5 QBs start all 16 games.

The only one to repeat that feat was…nobody.

            Here they are:

            Vince Evans – 1981
            Jim Harbaugh- 1991
            Erik Kramer-1995
            Rex Grossman- 2006
            Jay Cutler- 2009

            That’s it.

            That’s the list.

I BELIEVE Cutler started at least 15 games in 4 of his first 5 season with the Bears so, in my opinion, those who question his toughness can go suck eggs.

          • AlbertInTucson

Correction: At least 15 starts in 4 of his first SIX seasons as a Bear.

The one start he missed in 2011 was following that first half beating he took against the Giants.

          • AlbertInTucson

To address the inevitable Sid Luckman question:
Sid , who played mostly 10 or 11 games seasons in his 12 years as a Bear, started every game in a season exactly once.

Ergo, Cutler is, in fact, the most durable QB in Bears history.

          • Irish Sweetness

Yet our greatest-ever quarterback was also our least durable …

            (ducks)

          • “Modestly” Huge Bears Penis

can Cutler be our most durable and least durable at the same time?

          • AlbertInTucson

            No.

          • Irish Sweetness

            McMahon, James.

          • AlbertInTucson

            Wrong.

          • Irish Sweetness

            Jim, not Jay.

          • BerwynBomber

Cutler’s durability was always unduly criticized. But without digging through seventy year old newspapers you can’t say whether or not Luckman didn’t start because of injury. And just by eyeballing the #s it looks like he was suited up and available a higher percentage of the time than Cutler. So your “ergo” is a little iffy.

The rest of Bears QB history — durability-wise? Meh. The only two of modern era whose tenure would even rate next to Cutler’s were McMahon and Grossman, and both of them were made of glass.

          • AlbertInTucson

So, the Bears had a BETTER option at QB during Luckman’s prime than Sid?

            I don’t THINK so.

          • SC Dave

Yeah, but most of those guys played o and d.

          • AlbertInTucson

            True.

Sid had 17 career INTs as a defensive back.

          • Irish Sweetness

Do we know if any QB won 25 of their starts in a row, Al?

          • CanadaBear

I’ve never seen anyone make a bigger fuss over a stat that really amounted to nothing. If it was 25 games in a row, fine. Those 25 wins in a row were stretched over 3 seasons. Big fucking whoop.

          • Johnnywad

            While getting absolutely pounded.

          • Joecashflow

Haha fuck all. I stand corrected by one miserable season when Cutty had more INTs than TDs. Move On. Biscuit will get his chances this year.

          • Irish Sweetness

Worth a shot, Ender. Never let facts get in the way of a good story, as the Irish chancers say. [ A ‘chancer’ is a person of erstwhile moral choices and turpitude.]
