In a way, I feel kind of bad for Kevin. If this guy so much as sneezes from this point forward, he will be label a draft bust.

      • willbest

Wait he isn’t already labeled a draft bust? I would be more like “I feel bad for Kevin White anything less than 1100 yards and 9 TDs on 80 catches in his rookie season after double redshirting and he will be considered a bust.

      • SC Dave

So he’s made large piles of cash, has done NOTHING, and you’re feeling sorry for him?

    • Johnnywad

Biggsy pops egg mcmuffins with cheese like they’re Tic Tacs.

    • I bet he doubles up on the McD breafast, extra order of hash browns and patties.
I also bet he’s one of those dudes who pours syrup on his sausage (nttawwt?)

    • “When White was playing last season, the one thing I consistently heard
from scouts with other teams was that his route running was sub-par.”

We all knew this, but I wonder if route-running can indeed be learned at the NFL level?

White was positively comped to Demaryious Thomas. An athletic freak who needed about 3 years (and Peyton) to finally blossom.

But for every Thomas, there’s 3 Stephen Hill-s (the WR selected ahead of Alshon)

It’s much safer to draft a polished route runner who accelerates on breaks (Cooper). But we all know Pace doesn’t do “safe”

      • SC Dave

        We dont have Peyton

I roll with stubble unless I am appearing before a judge because I am lazy and the wife likes it. Apparently that is a biological response on her part.

Butch (and MB) if he floats through, do you have any anecdotal evidence to suggest stubble is the way to go with the women the way this study finds?

    • In my long career of pooning, I find that women are very “trendy.” They tend to buy brand names, latest cells, nice cars, expensive perfumes, lotions, shoes, 100+ haircuts/dyes, etc etc even if they can’t afford it all for the sake of impressing others.

This extends to the type of men they like. In the 90s, goatees and an earing was “cool”. Can’t tell you how many girls said “I love goatees”. The more grungy liked long hair + goatie combo.

I was too young to date in the 80s, but I remember dudes looking like Boy George who were with smoking hot chicks. 80s girls seemed to dig the clean shaven “new wave” look (think young David Gahan).

Those that dated in the 70s prolly sported a stache and looked like the Brondo man, or the Led Zepplin look.

Beards (and tats/sleeves) now adays have just been trendy for a few years, so naturally it attracts women who gravitate towards what’s “hot”.

I have a beard, and chicks love it. Hate when I shave. There’s only been like 1 girl in the past, eh, 5 years who didn’t like beards, though she did like a good 5 oclock shadow.

That being said, there’s always gonna be certain girls, esp younger ones, who prefer the clean cut pretty boy look (Ashton Kutcher). These tend to be white and asian AmberCrombie and Finch chicks which I avoid like the plague since I don’t own a yacht or summer in the Hamptons.

        Bob is rockin that junk

Drop the white girls. Good call.

        • Haha. the Grunge look was basically the Zep look + goatie and heroine

          All cyclical it is.

I consider chicks who dig long hair a subculture since not many are into it (for the casual dude, not rockstar)

          • SC Dave

In other words, the hair means nothing, whereas the money means everything.

Not that it is unexpected. Females will be attracted to males that offer the greatest chance for survival of the progeny. And in the modern world, the #1 survival of DNA trait is the ability to make money.

      • SC Dave

Plus so many on the first and last paragraphs.

        • There’s a saying, “Women don’t buy $500 dollar purses for men. They buy them for other women” (or gay men).

It’s sorta a cold war with females where they have to keep up with each other lest they be perceived as old and undesirable.

Naturally, there’s exceptions, but for the most part, it’s true.

“DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog Fisher is a punching bag for football media but he’s not a bad coach by any means.”

Which is ironic in that for years the football media overrated him.

Fisher is in the Lovie Smith/competent/average/.500 tier. What baffled many observers was his longevity.

He hadn’t been to the post-season in eight years before finally being let go. NFL HCs rarely get that much rope.

    • BearDown100393

Fischer is a lot like Smith. They were career coaches because they focused on their own survival. Smith didn’t like coordinators around who might replace him.

Kudos on the book drive. Seriously well done. I love books. I love records. I subscribe to the Chicago Tribune and get my newspaper. I like the tangibles. MP3s and Ebooks are convenient and have their place. But digital does not replace.

      Jesus, shut up already.

Robert Mueller is the worst case scenario for a Trump hater. This is the guy that reported that Roger Dodger did NOT see Ray Rice tape, and therefore the NFL was exculpable in it’s treatment of the case. Now there was NO FUCKING WAY that the NFL did not have the tape. They knew, they saw it. But Mueller is the guy you call in when you want to whitewash things.

I bet he finds that there is no connection between Kushner, Flynn and the commie reds whose cocks they were sucking.

WaPo feels differently than I do, but they are wrong:

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/wp/2017/05/17/with-mueller-as-the-special-prosecutor-the-white-house-has-every-reason-to-panic/?utm_term=.3de0f0c7aae3

I have little faith in Mueller.

      • Didn’t Mueller investigate the Gambino family?

Took them down so the Russian Mob could rise?

        Oliver Stone, get on it!

      • BerwynBomber

Agreed. But politically speaking it is probably best for the Dems if Trump isn’t impeached and his cronies walk. It’ll keep Dem voters fired up longer.

      • Elect A Clown. Expect A Circus

It wasn’t me on the multiple post. It was disqus. Kept telling me it did not post.

Muller is the best option that was out there.

Buzzfeed: One of the lawyers expected to join Mueller served on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force http://bzfd.it/2rh2y2D

    • BerwynBomber

      A) As GP said, one post is ENOUGH.

      B) Doubtful much happens to Trump and company so long as they control all three branches of the government — not to mention that Mueller is a Republican.

      C) Otherwise I’d be right there with you.
