If the Bears lose, I’m moving to Canada?

    Go Bears!

    • SC Dave

      I think they’re building a wall.

    • Joecashflow

I’m moving to Portland and burn and pillage.

      • Huge Bears Penis

speaking of burning and pillaging, I was really impressed that more people did not take advantage of the situation of the Cubs winning the WS to burn and pillage. Most of the time when a city wins a championship of any kind we get to see a bunch of cars on fire during the celebrations. I never understood it but it seemed to always happen.

        • SC Dave

It was great that the celebration was not marred by people looking for free big-screen TVs. No doubt CPD was out in force.

        • CanadaBear

The rowdies would have had to push all the geriatric Cub fans out of the way. I was also pleasantly surprised when Cubs fans, oddly enough, acted like they had been there before.

          • willbest

A little known fact about Tea Party Rallies is they often left the parks cleaner than they were before they were there. We may be racists but we aren’t savages.

Anyway, I thought the first rule of rioting is you had to destroy your own shit. Most the cubs fans are suburbanites. It would be against the basic rules of rioting to tear up the city.

      • Joecashflow

Bought my bus pass at half time. Viva Portland!

The new strategy appears to be signing up young liberals to move to red states to teach in the public schools and indoctrinate the children in the ways of free shit and participation awards.

      • Yes, it couldn’t actually be because “real” americans are actually outraged that an orange reality tv star with no political or military experience, and DUBIOUS economic experience (how many times did he go bankrupt? didn’t pay taxes) is becoming president.

  • willbest

I think I would second that on Cutler. Yes Romo has better vision on the field, but given Romo’s injury history you can’t count on him to play more than 8 games in a season.

    • Huge Bears Penis

at times you seem to have blog tourettes. Just blurt something out with no context and hope the readers can decipher what the hell you are referring to.

“If the Bears traded in Cutler for Romo I would honestly scream into a pillow for 90 minutes.” – Jeff

        • Scharfinator

Who is giving it to Jeff in this instance? πŸ˜›

However, I agree with his sentiment. That would be such a braindead trade… for both teams.

  • willbest

Here is a though. What if you traded Cutler for say somebody like Mo and brought in Romo while drafting his heir in the first 2 rounds.

    • That might be a real possibility.

Jets were trying to get rid of both Mo and Richardson. Didn’t they re-sign Mo though?

That would leave us with Richardson, who is actually younger.

But both of them have missed meetings and were benched earlier this year for it.

I just don’t know if we need that example from our star players.

      • Irish Sweetness

They tried to shop Richardson for a first before the deadline and nobody bit.

        • willbest

They wanted draft picks though, not an aged QB

    • AlbertInTucson

      “Malcontent” Mo?

If the Bears traded in Cutler for Romo I would honestly scream into a pillow for 90 minutes.

The only thing that makes any sense at all in that idea is the “Screaming into a pillow..” part.

I hope Adam Schefter has to pay up in the JPP lawsuit.

    • willbest

Did he report a wrong fact?

      • AlbertInTucson

Last I heard, JPP was suing for violation of HIPPA laws.

      • Huge Bears Penis

he broke HIPAA rules, reporting it

        • willbest

Is Schefty a healthcare provider? You only have a duty if you are a healthcare provider.

          • AlbertInTucson

It’s illegally obtained information. I hope he gets squashed.

    • In some ways, that would make sense.

Romo has the head of Hoyer, and near the arm of Cutler.

He’s old and inj prone, but Hoyer/Shaw/Draftpick might be the real plan for the Bears going forward anyways.

Gotta remember too, Fox might be in “win now” mode trying to save his job.

I wanna see the rest of the season play out though.

      It begins today.

Cutler can rise (Vikes) or sink to the level of competition.

If we keep running like we did, Cutler should maintain today.

      • Huge Bears Penis

If we go with Hoyer/Shaw/Draftpick next year, I will find it very hard to watch the team.

        • Harder than this year?

          or the 2014 Cutty team?

If we get Romo, Hoyer will be back up, and Shaw on the practice squad most likely.

If we draft a QB that looks promising, that’ll be something to look foward to at least.

IMO, of all this hinges on Cutler’s performance the rest of the year.

So, in some sense, he has his future in his hands, literally.

          • willbest

2014 Bears lost the mental game before they started losing physical games. Arians would have had them 11-5 and in the playoffs that year.

          • CanadaBear

If Cutler plays up to his potential the last 8 games it will be very hard for the Bears to walk away from him. It would make for a tough sell. I’m guessing that won’t happen.

          • Huge Bears Penis

we are winning out this year and Playoff bound.

          • CanadaBear

This. Season of Destiny. If it started with a bunch of losses, so be it.

          • Check into the Howard Hotel!

          • willbest

I saw a report that bookings in Trump hotels were up over 20% since he won.

          • Of course. That’s the only reason he became president – so he won’t go bankrupt again and afford paying his taxes.

          • If Fox sticks around next year, I don’t think we can draft a QB, to be honest.

Fox is already on thin ice THIS year. If we only get like 4 wins, he’ll be on VERY thin ice next season, and gone in 2 seasons.

Then, the next coach will be stuck with a QB he didn’t draft, which is a horrible way to start a new regime.

Also, getting quality HCs is harder when they’re saddled with a high draft QB already on the roster.

So maybe Pace would actually prefer the vet QB route next season, be it Cutty or Romo.

        • Irish Sweetness

Shaw might be exciting to watch, but I hope we keep Cutty. One year SB run – give it a shot.

    • Irish Sweetness

Just saw that on NFL COuntdown. Why would we trade away a sensible contract … and then trade for Romo?

      • willbest

We wouldn’t trade for Romo. He is going to be an FA. Nobody is going to want to pay him that unless they get a back injury waiver disclaimer like Peyton Manning did with his neck.

        • Huge Bears Penis

Romo will only be a FA if they cut him, he still has a ton left on his contract.

          • willbest

Unless somebody rips Dak’s head off I find it hard to believe they won’t commit to him in the long term and they aren’t paying Romo 18 mil to back him up.

          • Romo seems like a Beta male too, so he might be ok with playing backup.

I think he already said as much this season, but who knows about next season.

Also, why would Romo want to join Bears anyways?

He’d have to believe we’re ready to compete for a SB.

          • willbest

FA goes where the money. He isn’t going to get the Peyton Manning treatment where he sits down with the GM and says, “explain to me how you are getting me a ring in the next 3 years.”

  • willbest

On Cubs winning and Bears winning. Has a city ever had 3 sports teams win a championship in a 12 month period?

      No.

In 1998 the Chicago Fire and the Bulls both won it all the same year.

Detroit 1935 – Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers

The last city to have 2 was 2009 when it was the Steelers and Penguins.

Oh an if we want to include fake sports, the Lakers, Sparks, Angels, and Galaxy in 2002 for LA metro area.

        Oh fuck 1935.

    • Dodgers and Lakers won in 88.

The Raiders sucked that year, but the Rams actually made the playoffs (and lost in the WC)

The Kings did well that year too, but no championship (first year of Gretsky).

According to Wiki, the Kings changed their colors that year too from gold/purple (lakers) to silver.

I’m actually excited for the game, which I did not expect

      • I would predict a shootout, but this Bears team is about TOP on O, and the D is as healthy as it’s been all season with a stout run D.

Don’t want to get ahead of myself, but barring TOs, special team fucks ups, and stupid ass penalties, we should control this game throughout.

        • Bender McLugh

And should be able to run all over them.

Are Carey & Langford both back?

          • Yup.

Air casts are never a good sign

  • BearDown100393

    The gladiator has fallen.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Fucking warrioe

  • Irish Sweetness

That’s how you go off the field.

  • Scharfinator

    Breadloafed

  • 505Bears

    What a joke

  • Malice Halice

Jay cutler ALREADY got 2 interceptions?! Was it those Cutlerish INT’s or what?
Can’t watch da game in MN.

    • Irish Sweetness

And we could run the ball at will, it’s weird.

  • Cutty backers? Anyone? Crickets? Bueller…

    • BearDown100393

      In Jay We Trust

    • Irish Sweetness

Might just entertain offers now ….. yet he carved up the Vikings. Don’t figure.

  • Irish Sweetness

    Ah fook it.

  • EnderWiggin

If Loggains just pretended that Hoyer was our QB, he’d call a much better game for all of us.

  • willbest

Butch needed this. In these uncertain times it’s good to know cutler is consistently turnover prone

    • Only thing that is consistent is that Cuter is inconsistent.

    • Irish Sweetness

It’s a worrying flashback. This is old Cutty.

    • Malice Halice

So cutler obviously went back to his original ways. Indicating we should get rid of him?

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Unacceptable. Fucking blitzing the house you have to know you won’t have time to step up like that. God damn it.

  • 505Bears

Mcphee may just go rip cutler’s head off himself

  • Scharfinator

Two teams trying their damndest to lose.

  • Cutler getting some “medical” attention.

Fox Remembers Barkley and not Hoyer is up next.

    Cutler will be OK.

    • EnderWiggin

Just removing the head from the butt. He’ll be fine.

    • Malice Halice

Is cutler going thru the “I’m fuckin up cuz I’m hurt phase” again?

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

No, he stepped up nicely on a blitz on the goal line but didn’t commit to running it and guys closwd on him way faster since they were already blitzing. Stripped him near the sideline

    • Irish Sweetness

      Barkley could beat Tamps.

      • willbest

He couldn’t beat the team getting spanked by the titans

  • I’d be demoralized on D.

Do we see a McPhee yelling again if Cutler TOs over one more time?

    Tune in…

  • 505Bears

They are who we thought they were

  • D falling apart after 3 TOs.

2nd verse same as the first.

  • Irish Sweetness

About Winston not being mobile? He needs a spy.

  • willbest

    Remember Adams couldn’t beat massie

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

3rd and goal from the fucking 3 and Howard can’t be stopped and you know they are blitzing. Just run the damn ball twice and score.

    • Irish Sweetness

      4 times. first and goal.

  • Irish Sweetness

is massie going down a bad thing?

  • beninnorcal

What was that, about the 10th Bucs holding penalty?

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Huge play here

  • beninnorcal

Floyd is having a nice rookie year all the sudden

    • willbest

      Maybe he was hurt

    • Irish Sweetness

      Stud.

  • It’s a miracle we’re even still in this game after Cutty 3 TOs
Well, that and Bucs just penalizing themselves.

    • EnderWiggin

Yeah, Todd Mokin calling a decent game too, where did he come from?

  • 505Bears

Get ya some…come on cutler. Defense is doing its job

  • Howard. Check.
    D. Check.
    Barth. Check…

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Epic drive here.

  • willbest

Lol he ran a bear over

  • Irish Sweetness

Drive of destiny begins. Massie loses starting job.

  • beninnorcal

Not sure who our future qb will be, but nice to know we have an rb.

  • EnderWiggin

    Ahh, the ‘ol incomplete screen

  • Irish Sweetness

    MISTER FIRST DOWN!!!!

  • 505Bears

    Keep feeding him

  • Just ride Howard to the dirt.
    Even on 3rd and 8.

  • willbest

    Dammit

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Epic 2nd half?

  • beninnorcal

If we get to halftime within a score of them it will be some kind of miracle.

  • Scharfinator

    We suuuuck

  • Irish Sweetness

    MISTER FIRST DOWN!!!!

    Except not.

    • willbest

He is thinking home run, he only needed a double

      • Scharfinator

Probably feels like he needs to do it himself

  • 505Bears

Ok, D bail them out again

  • Irish Sweetness

    Wow.

The Vikes must be REALLY bad.

  • Cutleritis is contagious kids

    Get vaccinated!

  • willbest

    Titans 28 to 7 damn..

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Epic end of half drive?

    • EnderWiggin

      Howard or Langford?

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

        Howard

      • willbest

        Howard he will learn

  • I wonder how Fox handles fumbling Howard?

Billichick benches HBs. Other HCs just keep riding.

    • Irish Sweetness

First time I’ve seen him do it that I recall. Did he do it last week?

      • willbest

        His second fumble

  • Malice Halice

Can we make that 2nd half adjustment?

    • willbest

      Nope

      • Malice Halice

Thats fucked up, as I watch the vikes rally. Our setbacks is due to the offense tho I take it? Mainly cutler

        • willbest

          Yep

        • willbest

Well technically they scored off 1 cutler to and 1 howard to. But cutler took at least 3 points off the board with another one

          • Malice Halice

Is cutler actin like Tebow again (emotionally)? As in how he did against the vikes?

          • willbest

They aren’t showing him on the sideline

  • 505Bears

FG at this point would be a win for this offense

  • EnderWiggin

    They keep changing Colonel Sanders..

  • willbest

    Thompson is brutal

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Thompson. Why.

  • Irish Sweetness

On the positive side, with no turnovers we’re shutting out Tampa.

    (tumbleweeds)

  • willbest

That was ugly whatever it was

  • Irish Sweetness

That 4th TO sure did suck giant donkey balls. FIRST DOWN!!!! Orrrrrr game over.

  • EnderWiggin

    7 step drop… Really?

    • willbest

      With a backup tackle

      • Irish Sweetness

        Who’s the tackle?

        • willbest

          Adams I think

    • What could possibly go wrong!

  • Irish Sweetness

Zack’s first catch? WTF is going on? Has Cam had a catch? Is he playing?

  • EnderWiggin

WTF? free timeout if we run a play there.

  • Irish Sweetness

I’m all about the bomb to Meredith here.

  • willbest

They only dress 7 linemen, what happens if we lose another?

    • Irish Sweetness

      Paulsen?

  • Jesus, that should’ve been another INT

  • EnderWiggin

    Our fekkin punter.

    • Irish Sweetness

      He leads the NFL though.

Lowest average punt in the NFL. The offense is dead last in scoring.

      I’d draft OTs 1 and 2.

  • Irish Sweetness

    Jay Leno at LT.

  • Irish Sweetness

Somebody on the defense must realise that Winston homes in on the TE.

  • Sauron’s right eyeball

This game is about as enjoyable as poison Ivy.

  • beninnorcal

Hopefully they check Jay’s blood glucose at the half.

  • madscout12

Just stupid football all around all game. Defense only brightspot

    • beninnorcal

      And Howard, minus the fumble

  • Bender McLugh

I want to see an old fashioned Bears D win

  • beninnorcal

    That was a fumble

    • EnderWiggin

      We got hosed.

  • beninnorcal

    Fucking fumble

  • EnderWiggin

    Should be 14-10. Hosed.

  • Huge Bears Penis

well at least TEN is kicking the crap out of GB.

  • Bender McLugh

Towel Log can suck it, terrible game plan outside of Howard’s awesomeness

  • Malice Halice

Vikes just rallied against the skins

  • Malice Halice

    And Blair Walsh misses again!

  • Huge Bears Penis

    MEREDITH!!!!!

  • willbest

    Fuck yeah

  • Bender McLugh

    lolz

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Dickshot.

  • EnderWiggin

    From the ‘ol Irish playbook!

  • Bender McLugh

    Cam muthafuckin Meredith

  • willbest

    Momentum

  • Irish Sweetness

    MY BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh, this is funny shit.

    • beninnorcal

Actually, my first reaction to that was a big lol

  • Scharfinator

That may have just won us the game

  • beninnorcal

Well, by some miracle, the Bears go into the half down 1 score. With 4 turnovers.

  • Irish Sweetness

And Brian Hoyer does not make that throw.

    • Bender McLugh

      Nope

    • Scharfinator

      Or those picks…. haha WEIRD

    • Huge Bears Penis

Hoyer doesn’t even throw it to the 20.

    • EnderWiggin

Hell, O’Donnell can’t even boot it that far.

    • beninnorcal

In all fairness, that should’ve been like the fifth pick.

    • Hoyer doesn’t need to cuz we would’ve been up 28-0 going into the half.

      • willbest

        You mean 6-0

        • Nope. I already showed that the Bears under Hoyer scored as much or more than Cutler, but without him turning it over 3 times in one half.

          • willbest

Nope you already showed that hoyer is the worst red zone QB in the league

  • In the words of the sarg, this game is so ugly, it can be a god damn modern art masterpiece

  • Irish Sweetness

Reminds me of the Thursday night game against the Niners when Cutty had 4 INTs but still had a chance to win the game … then threw an INT.

I’ll give him a pass on the half. Just win baby.

    • beninnorcal

He actually threw 5. I was sitting by the endzone of the 5th and final pick. Had to take the loser’s walk outta there.

      • Irish Sweetness

5 were mentioned. Anyway, he’ll turn it around, for Kyle. Kyle will be in his ear in the locker room.

        • beninnorcal

Agreed. Hoping he comes out throwing darts in the 2nd half, after some oj and crackers for his blood sugar.

  • Bender McLugh

As the blog says…… Are you not entertained?

  • EnderWiggin

Howie says (on Kyle) “Will miss some time”

    • willbest

      IR him

    • Shouldn’t have been out there to begin with.

I love his warrior mentality, but gotta protect a player from himself sometimes.

  • Malice Halice

Nfl still won’t let me see the Meredith catch. Got da Bears fucked up

    • Huge Bears Penis

the NFL does not like you.

      • Malice Halice

        Might start to believe it

        • Huge Bears Penis

you should, did you not get the memo they sent out?

          • Malice Halice

Data is low so that might be why

  • If Bears want to win this game it will require coaching around Cutler. He’s lost today. – Jeff (HOF Jay apologist).

    Couldn’t agree more.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Epic 2nd half adjustment based comeback.

  • beninnorcal

On replay, it actually looks like Alshon got a hand on that hailmary and may have prevented a pick/made the play possible.

  • eh, fuck it. Let it rip.

If Jay throws for 500 yds and 10Ints, who cares at this point?

    • Bender McLugh

      That would be incredible.

  • Bender McLugh

Cutlers worst throw was his miss in the endzone to Alshon that bounced off the db/s back. Such an easy score, shows how off he is today. Diabetes is a powerful drug

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Cutler rarely misses that throw. That was fucking bad

      • willbest

But it shows how off he is today

        • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

He is off. OC needs to call some easy no brainer pass plays. Get the ball out quick. Build momentum.

    • He has looked worse than in his first two games, which only confirmed my eyes, that it had lil to do with his thumb (see avatar) and more to do with his brain (see avatar)

      • EnderWiggin

        ehhhhhhhh

      • Bender McLugh

        lol

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Maybe Cage should dial up some passes that don’t require 2002 style drop backs. Run the ball, quick play action and Miller on quick hitting plays early in the series.

    • willbest

      That makes too much sense

    • Bender McLugh

It’s it the play calling or him having to deal with an unexpected inaccurate Cutty?

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Bucs are trying to bring pressure. The pocket is an unpredictable place to throw from today.

        • Bender McLugh

Absolutely. Cutty not dealing with it well

    • Bender McLugh

I’m loving the few zone runs for Howard, Langford too

  • EnderWiggin

That is the second time this season we have had a successful 1:00 drill. Very unFoxlike.

  • Bender McLugh

    Rush Floyd more

  • Bender McLugh

    Sutton down

  • beninnorcal

Are we setting franchise injury records yet this year?

    • madscout12

      Yes.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Need a big 3 and out here

  • beninnorcal

Are we setting franchise injury records for the year yet?

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Sad

  • Huge Bears Penis

    motherfucker!

    • madscout12

      My words exactly

  • beninnorcal

    oh my god

  • willbest

    Well shit

  • EnderWiggin

Winston was like “Is that the fekkin endzone?”

  • Bender McLugh

Floyd right there, Vick-like was it not

  • That might be the epitaph play to our 2016 season

    • madscout12

      Pretty much.

  • madscout12

    Well that sucked.

  • Weed Superman (GP)

    Hahahahahah

  • RenoBear

You go from a sack at the 2 yard line to a TD in two plays…. Fuck me running

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

That was the dagger in a game of potential daggers.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

After everything. That just did it. Unreal

  • 505Bears

    Matt leblanc sucks…fucking joey

  • beninnorcal

Against the Vikes, the Bears looked all of 6-2. Against the Bucs, they look like their actual record.

    • Bender McLugh

      Worse

    • I said it b4 this game, Jay has a habit of playing above, and below his competition.

      This is the latter.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Lol, it’s over. In general.

  • Bender McLugh

What a shitty scrimmage, this game

  • Malice Halice

I’m glad I jumped off da cutler bandwagon

    • It’s liberating.

It’s like exiting a dark dank smoky dive where someone put the Eagle’s Hotel California on endless repeat.

      #tumbleweeds

  • We’re still in this game if we score a TD

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    No time.

  • Scharfinator

Baddddd showing. Seems like some bad play calls too

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Fucking break down and tackle Winston.

    • Irish Sweetness

Told ya, have to spy on Winston. He has 7 rushing TDs.

      • Bender McLugh

Have to not have 4 TOs

      • He’s avoiding sacks, not exactly running like Vick.

Our rushers just have to take better angles. They keep overpursing .

        • Irish Sweetness

          7 TDs.

  • RenoBear

Fucking Winston trying to give us the football. TAKE IT

  • 505Bears

    Can’t do shit right

  • madscout12

    Nothing going our way.

Dann it, we are better than these fucks. Just stop beating yourselves.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Our D ends act like they’ve never seen a naked bootleg. 3 missed sacks on that type of play alone.

  • Irish Sweetness

    what a sack.

  • 505Bears

Jameis is a fatter, taller, Arnold Jackson and Bears are letting him win this ugh

  • Irish Sweetness

What are the odds of us winning this game C3PO?

    C3PO: You ‘avin a laff?

    • EnderWiggin

      Never tell me the odds.

      • Irish Sweetness

And if he doesn’t say that in the spin-off movie then the screenwriter is a cock,

    • 2,228.7 to 1

  • Irish Sweetness

    Well covered? He was assaulted!

  • EnderWiggin

    BS call on Jeffery

  • Stat padding time.

    • Irish Sweetness

We do have fantasy to consider …

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

      Not fucking really

      • Scharfinator

        Sarcasm foreign to you, friend?

        • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

It’s not sarcasm when Butch says it. Being down 7 is stat padding time when it comes to cutle according to Butch..

          • Scharfinator

Well, in that context, how long has it been since we’ve had a 4th quarter come back from Jay?

            Seems like quite a while.

  • Irish Sweetness

    Eddie Ready!

  • Irish Sweetness

    Howard doesn’t drop that ….

  • BearDown100393

    We got this.

  • madscout12

Well, our offense can’t move the ball, but at least our punter sucks.

  • Irish Sweetness

    We’re holding Pat O’ Donnell’s career back.

He has to punt more than everyone else, so his average goes down as entropy takes effect.

    Sorry Pat.

  • Irish Sweetness

I don’t think I’ve ever heard or seen a group of people appreciated more than soldiers. And it’s paid for.

  • EnderWiggin

    How’s that not a safety?

    • Huge Bears Penis

      forward progress.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    Why did that just happen.

  • madscout12

It is under rated how bad bears specials have been.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Why in the fuck did that just happen?

  • Do our returners even have fucking coaches? Jesus

  • 505Bears

Should be clown music playing for this joke of a team

  • Irish Sweetness

    That was a safety, no?

  • RenoBear

Every other teams punter makes me hate ours more and more

  • Guess we got our answer.

    Howard getting benched

  • EnderWiggin

    That was an incomplete pass…

    • Huge Bears Penis

nope, it was hit out of his hand.

  • BearDown100393

    Not a safety

  • madscout12

But the defense kicked the ball

  • Bender McLugh

How can they change the OL from last game when they played so well?

    • EnderWiggin

Kush still sitting in Chicago. Weird.

      • Bender McLugh

        Very

  • RenoBear

Carey was right there. That was an incomplete fucking pass. And eat dicks announcers, stop sucking Tampa’s dicks

  • willbest

How did we go into the half with a Hail Mary and come out saying fuck it?

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

The 2 play 99 yard drive.

  • There’s the hat trick.

    “Exciting!”

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

      Started on the fucking 1

      • EnderWiggin

And it was a bad call. Obviously an incomplete pass.

  • BearDown100393

3 possession game. Quarter left. No big deal.

  • Big Mike

The Bears OC is a fucking moron. Our special teams are pathetic. Our secondary is horse shit

    • Bender McLugh

      Towel Log can suck it

  • ButtonShoes

Is there a reason Eddie Royal caught that punt at the 5? Why not just take a knee in the end zone? Is he a complete idiot?

    • Bender McLugh

      Yes

      • Big Mike

        Bad coaching?

        • Bender McLugh

          That’s on the playa

      • Huge Bears Penis

        all our returners are idiots!

    • Big Mike

      No. none whatsoever

      • EnderWiggin

You win last night, Big M?

        • Big Mike

Did not. Β My QB played better than Cutler. Β Our game plan was better, special teams better. Β We played a very good game. Β  We were down 14-10 driving with under a minute to go. Β We got to the 15 yard line. Β Called timeout sent in 2 plays. Β Gained 6, lined up York a shot at the end zone and it turned into a pick 6

          • EnderWiggin

            Sounds like a fun one.

  • willbest

Who is the best QB in the draft?

    • ButtonShoes

I’ve read this isn’t a good draft for QBs.

      • willbest

        Me too

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

    This truly is surreal.

    • willbest

      Welcome to November 2016

      • Bender McLugh

        R.I.P. Leonard Cohen

    • Not to me.

I expected this game eventually from Cutler. Didn’t think it would come this fast, but here we are.

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

I’m talking about cutler problems, Winston handing us the game over and over and over and us not accepting the gift. 99 yards on 2 plays. Royal to the 1, not running from 2yds ou, missing sack after sack on Winston naked bootlegs. Tipped passes on Winston over and over tthat never get picked…ever. 4 just today.

  • Irish Sweetness

    Fourth quarter of destiny?

If we could put Jimmy Mac in the game this thing is ON.

    • EnderWiggin

Mac to Gault. Good memories. Waaaaaay tooooo loooong ago.

    • Huge Bears Penis

Mac is still in concussion protocol from the 80s

  • RenoBear

On a lighter note… Green Bay is fucking terrible. Although that kinda hurts too cuz it shows how open the division is, and we still suck

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

You simply cannot make this shit up.

  • Malice Halice

Fellas is the game THAT bad?

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

This is one of the dumbest games I’ve ever seen.

    • Bender McLugh

      Yeah unfortunately

    • Irish Sweetness

      Do not watch a re-run.

    • Malice Halice

So basically it’s not even worth the data to keep checking in?

      • willbest

        Nope

  • Irish Sweetness

    So … I’m looking forward to Dallas-Pittsburgh …..

    (looks at nails)

  • ButtonShoes

They had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. TWO. Against the Bucs. And this is what we get. Holy shit this team is bad.

    • EnderWiggin

Fox gave the team the first week off. Good idea?

      • ButtonShoes

Fox is allergic to good ideas. He’s allergic to winning, too. Ever since he has become Bears HC, he has consistently not given a single fuck about anything.

  • ButtonShoes

The Bears are obviously hot garbage, but man, so is the rest of the NFC North.

    • I don’t think the Bears are as bad as today.

      We got Cutlered.

Just shrug it off as that.

Our run with Howard was good.
Our D (until getting Cutlered) was good.
      Even Barth chipped in.

      • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

        You are joking obviously.

        • Our D didn’t break down till after the TOs and ineffective drives.

Even Jeff agrees that wasn’t the problem

Howard ran well aside from the fumble

And Barth made a 54 yarder

          what’s there to debate?

That Cutler payed well today, or that it wasn’t [insert excuse] his fault?

          • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Wow. I don’t know what to say.

      • willbest

Was cutler fucking awful? Was our D fucking Amazing in the first half? Yes. But they were the ones that decided to turn a safety into a TD, and just quit thereafter. We didn’t get Cutlered. We quit.

  • Jay has been brutal today. Worst I’ve seen him in years. – Jeff

Worst I’ve seen him since Sept 19, 2016

Not true. He’s played at an all time low today. The diabetes

    • Huge Bears Penis

      oh well no big loss

  • Malice Halice

@least da vikes might throw da game away. Sam just threw a dumb pass dat got tipped for a INT. D lineman caught it.

  • ButtonShoes

Jake Long is down, too. Not a good day for the Long family.

EDIT: Apparently, he’s not Kyle’s brother. Or Chris’s. Well, you learn something new every day.

  • Irish Sweetness

Winston is nailing it today. 11-2 TD-INTs in the second half of the season.

  • Irish Sweetness

Defense dog tired from all the no-drives.

If you don’t think Bears defense is good, you’re nuts. ~Blogfather

    I’m nuts.
I think the Bears have some talent in the front 7, but they are a long ass way from being good.

    • Irish Sweetness

If we don’t turn it over 6 times, maybe they wouldn’t be so tired from being on the field that long?

Bucs couldn’t run it early on.

    • Big Mike

Front 7 us solid. secondary is JV.

  • Irish Sweetness

Minny and GB beaten … we had to win this today.

  • That D is just playing for pride right now.

    Fuck the bucs.

    • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

  • Weed Superman (GP)

    • Irish Sweetness

The safety I don’t put on him, looked incomplete to me. But the rest didn’t need to happen.

    • Verb. V.

To casually throw INTs. To zero in on one target. To “miscommunicate” always being the other player’s fault. To carry the football like a loaf of bread. To be oblivious as to down, distance, field position. To throw the finger at perhaps his best OC. Pocket presence on Madden -6. (also, see, Bortled).

Is there a way to get the Ricketts family or Rocky Wirtz to buy the Bears anytime soon? Because I’d like them to do it right now.

      • Big Mike

Seems like he just fn lost interest today. On offense it was as if we were playing 9 on 11. Did we have any actual receivers?

  • Irish Sweetness

    Nice punt.

  • EnderWiggin

Glennon. That’s who we’ll end up with if we get rid of Cutty…

    • I think he’ll be an FA next season.

      Maybe.

      • EnderWiggin

I’m somewhat serious. He’ll probably be best available from draft/FA.

    • Irish Sweetness

There’s 2 or 3 dudes worth drafting this year in the first. QBs. But Glennon would be a name. Plus pick, plus Shaw. Draft a OT high.

      • If we keep this same coaching staff, what’s the point in drafting a top QB?

Fox may get fired, then we have a new HC who didn’t draft “his guy”

Fox has to win with Cutler/Hoyer/Shaw, IMO

        • willbest

Fox has never developed a QB. Ever. Now isn’t the time to find out if he can do it. And I would respect your opinion so much more if you would just admit Hoyer is a pile of dogshit that can’t run a red zone offense and shouldn’t be considered a #1 QB unless the league had 50 teams. Seriously, stop it with him. Pick Glennon or somebody else that hasn’t necessarily had a fair shake.

          • EnderWiggin

            Delhomme?

          • willbest

            drafted by the Saints.

          • I said I’d prefer Hoyer over Cutler EXACTLY because of these type games.

Were we ever blown out and looked like dogshit under Hoyer like the Bears under Cutler today?

            NO.

I don’t mind Hoyer as a bridge (over Cutler, for sure, and MUCH cheaper).

I also wanted a high draft pick QB for the long term, but that’s not the reality with an HC starting the season on the hot seat.

          • willbest

Dallas. so yes, yes we were.

  • ButtonShoes

Dan Hampton unleashing on John Fox again on WGN 720. Makes me feel better to hear it.

    • But what more can Fox do?

Tell Cutler, “Hey, don’t throw INTs? Don’t get unnecessarily sacked? Don’t get strip sacked, or safetied?”

Now we know why he was trying to unload Cutler for Mariota, and why he preferred Hoyer game to game over Cutler.

If Hoyer doesn’t break his arm, he starts this game.

      • willbest

After losing to the vikings and losing this game. 9-28

      • EnderWiggin

He can tell Thompson to take a knee in the endzone. He can tell Birdcage not to run the same trick play he did last game. He can not bench Howard. He can let the safeties know that you probably shouldn’t let Evans behind you. I can go on and on.

        • I think the original game plan was trashed after Cutler turned it over the 3rd time.

I know I wouldn’t have any confidence in my QB after that.

But no doubt, they didn’t outcoach anyone today, but as Lovie kept refraining…turnovers turnovers turnovers…

          • willbest

Yeah I can see how being down 1 score at half time could completely trash a game plan.

          • Weed Superman (GP)

            His picks are indefensible

          • You think that.
Just wait til Will the lawyer takes up the case, or Johhny after a jug of Tradewind…

          • willbest

Don’t recall defending his performance today. Other than pointing out that despite his sucktitude they were only down 1 score at the half.

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

We have to get rid of cutler. The acceptance of the rest of the team getting steamrolled as some sort of accomplishment is nuts.

His presence is blinding. He played a terrible game and then the rest of the team made sure we would never get back in it.

    • Irish Sweetness

He’s relatively cheap next year though ….. we’ll be drafting high enough to draft a good QB. Is Pace the guy to pick him, perhaps not. But we don’t need to ship Cutty in order to get a top QB. Need that mentor.

      • willbest

No I am with waffle, Cutler gives too many excuses. Get rid of him. Let the team suck on its own merits. Nearly every fucking aspect of the team contributed to this shit pile.

No one worth first round pick as of this moment

    • Three negatives for Bears.

      1. The Browns are still in the NFL.
      2. The 9ers are still in the NFL
      3. The QB class is uninspiring, albeit, who predicted guys like Romo/Wilson/Dak

  • ButtonShoes

2-7. This team is bad. Very bad.

    • willbest

It was very bad at 1-6 too. Nothing has changed except where we are on the rollercoaster of Cutler

  • ButtonShoes

At least the fucking cheeseheads are getting smoked. I hope Rodgers completely falls apart.

    • Huge Bears Penis

I wander who he is going to blame this loss on after the game.

  • willbest

Wow coaching fail on my FF team. Diggs with 20 points, and Mathews with 28 riding pine.

    • Yeah, looks like Shady is going to beat me this week, barring Zeke 300 yd game .

I had to start Alex Smith, which I didn’t want to do.

And I started Bears D, but should’ve factored in Cutler TOs. I won’t make that mistake again.

  • CanadaBear

Well back down to earth for everyone (except the we’re gonna run the table crowd). Chris Conte and Jay Cutler aside, ya just gotta love this coaching staff. Unless they play inspired football in all 3 phases, they have the potential to lose out. I don’t think they will but I’m guessing for every game they win, there will be an equal amount of clunkers. Time to start over at QB and the coaching staff. I’d be totally OK with shit canning Fox and Nathan Lane right now and turning it over to Fangio. See if he could at least right the ship and put his name in the hat for next year. As far as Pace is concerned, let him pick the next coach/QB and he’s on the clock.

    • Totally agree.

I wanted Fox out a few weeks ago, but understood the “political” don’t be like the Browns side of dumping an HC that fast.

      But no excuses now.

Ditto on Pace. From all accounts, he inherited Fox from the “advisors” and his draft picks don’t look too horrible now esp with Floyd coming on.

His FAs have to be homeruns, in my book. Hicks, McPhee, Trevathan, Freeman, Porter (esp for their prices)

QB, well, we all know where I stand there lol

      • CanadaBear

I know a huge part of this is all the injuries but this sleepwalking BS is beyond old. Who thought Nathan Lane was a good idea? Fuck Me. I don’t hate Cutler but you can only watch the same mediocre movie so many times before you say no mas.

        • I don’t think this particular game was a zombie game.

They came out running well. And we had the game in control until the Cutler TOs.

Even after the 2nd one, we were still in it.

But after his fumble in the redzone, I think that’s the one that broke the camel’s back, and it was all downhill from there.

I agree with Jeff about the D.

Again, b4 the 3rd TO, they were controlling the LOS. Getting pressure, sacks. Not allowing big passes.

But they just wore down, esp after Howard’s fumble.

      • Irish Sweetness

I don’t see how Fox is to blame for (a) Cutty being out (b) 6 turnovers today.

The players aren’t cutting it. That’s on Pace. He selects them.

        • Pace didn’t want Cutler.

That’s like 4 TOs right there.

Howard is not a known fumbler, though he does have to clean it up (remember AP, Zeke, Gordon also had a few fumbles early in their careers)

But which of his FAs were total busts? Maybe Royal (due more to INJ)?

Amos, Goldman, Whithair, Floyd look like starters.

White seems like the only bust, and again, it has more to do with INJ (White seemed to be coming on under Hoyer).

Still early, but no one can really blame Pace for Cutler being a bird brain.

          • willbest

You didn’t want Cutler. Pace wanted Cutler. Pace wanted Cutler so much he didn’t do a damn thing to find a replacement for him

          • From all reports, he was trying to trade up to get Mariota.

            That’s a vote of confidence?

Then, he got Hoyer in FA, and Cutler was indeed benched for Hoyer.

            Coincidence? I think not.

            Shaw was their “developmental” QB.

Whether you like it or not, that was the reality.

We’re only stuck with Cutler now because both Hoyer and Shaw are hurt.

          • willbest

From all demonstration of action he never used 1 of the 16 draft picks on a QB, and brought in such obviously inferior products as Hoyer, and didn’t bother to shop him after he had a good 2015 when his value was probably at its highest relative to his contract.

          • If Pace deemed Hoyer and Shaw better prospects to beat Cutler, why should he draft a QB, esp with a possibly lame-duck HC he never wanted?

The fact that Hoyer beat out Cutler for the starting job proves Pox right in that assessment.

The only possible “mid round” QB that is better than Hoyer/Shaw as of right now is Dak, who no one saw coming, including the Cowboys the first 3 rounds.

Avoiding a long shot 5th round Dan LeFevour type isn’t an endorsement of Cutler.

          • willbest

Stop you know as well as I neither Shaw nor Hoyer were ever going to challenge Cutler, and as much as you want to speculate we have no idea about the extent of Cutler’s injury.

          • No one thought Dak would challenge Romo either, but once the opportunity arose, it happened.

Once Hoyer looked good, they didn’t hesitate to bench Cutler. To me, that fits their prior attitude towards him. Even Cutler essentially said they’re stuck with him now.

Drafting the top 2 QBs in this and last draft were too costly according to Pace.

Drafting an Enderley/LeFevour/Krenzle type in the mid rounders, also useless according to Pace.

Drafting a QB with an inherited HC also imprudent, according to Pace.

Hoyer/Shaw better options, according to Pace.

IMO, he was just trying to restock the shelves first (which we still need to do).

I don’t think he’s going to draft a QB until both Cutler and Fox are out, but that doesn’t mean he wanted either.

    • MB30SD

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

Jay Cutler has to go. If only evidenced by the the LACK of outrage and disgust directed towards the rest of the guys on this team who fucking totally fucking bent over and fucked themselves over and over.

Killing a drive by fumbling is still brutal even if you were having a good game. It happened.
Jeffery played fucking terrible and killed at least 2 drives with holding calls.
Our line got fucking gangbanged all day and there was no fucking pocket for the 10step drops that Cage kept calling.

Our OC was accidentally watching a different game from the press box. A game from 2001.

Our D back played like fucking shit especially our safeties. Untold conversion after conversion after conversion let up today despite Winston playing like he was fucking concussed.

The tackling of the Bears could not have been worse overall today. Our D ends alone missed on at least 3 guaranteed sacks for loss on naked bootlegs that instead turned into conversions.

The 2 play 99 yard TD drive where Fat Winston evaded Young and Floyd for almost 10 seconds.

The Bucs ran down our fucking throats at will after the 1st half including a 10 minute drive that effectively ended the game.

Multiple D penalties for holding, contact, PI, etc that gave a shitty bucs team chance after chance after chance.

Cutler played poorly and it cost us an easy TD pass and gave up 7 on the other end. The naked bootleg we run when the TE comes under the formation barely works with Miller and was almost picked the 2 previous times we did it….so naturally Birdcage called it with Logan Paulsen….because….yeah.

The Royal punt return and the subsequent safety are to be expected when your line is getting fucked and you start from the 1.

Deonte Thompson at the start of a crucial possession takes it out of the endzone to the 11. thanks!!

CUTLER has to go. The Bears must be allowed to be reviewed based on the complete shittiness of the rest of the squad.

And draft or buy some fucking Safeties for fucks sake.

    • SC Dave

LOL. I KNEW it. So motherfucking predictable.

        • 2 wins, for sure.

But the 9ers and Browns suck even more than we do, and I think by the end the Jags will also be scraping the bottom.

The bright spots are that at least we have a competent cheap QB in Hoyer, and a promising PS guy in Shaw.

Maybe bring in Glennon like Ender suggested if Pace doesn’t like those later QBs.

He had two weeks to prepare for this and had Goldman, Sitton, and (briefly) Long back and THIS is what they did? Guy might be worse than the Cryptkeeper at this point, he’s gotta go.

  • willbest

    Damn zeke

  • Go Zeke!

I have a chance vs Shady!

    • Shady

      Inconceivable

      • I figured we were gonna be a heavy weight fight.

It’s not easy taking down the champ.

        Gotta work for it!

      • MB30SD

Are the Cowboys the best team in the nfc?

  • Scharfinator

Great weekend for Detroit… they get a bye AND move up in the division standings by a game.

  • willbest

A free 40 yards for Ben and brown owners

  • AlbertInTucson

    Yes. I saw it.

If Cutler ever looked worse I don’t recall.

I left with about 10 minutes to go.

I had other fish to fry today then endure any more than I had.

  • AlbertInTucson

    “DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog
If you don’t think Bears defense is good, you’re nuts.”

I put this ALL on the offense today.

Return teams were no help, either.

    The turnovers.

The points they gave Tampa Bay.

    The points they failed toconvert

They left their defense hanging out to dry.

    S.M.H.

    • BuddhaJoe

Nah, the D fucked up too. The secondary was a sieve and the front too often couldn’t finish. I mean they let Winston run backwards 20 freaking yards without getting him and gave up a bomb, then a 40 yard TD on the very next play. And that was after the half so can’t blame that on the turnovers.

      • AlbertInTucson

That was all after the O left them hung out to dry. It was 83 in Tampa today.

        • BuddhaJoe

But that was right after halftime so it’s hard to blame the turnovers on that.

  • Weed Superman (GP)

My nephew made it on camera in a BBC documentary about D11 on the South side where he patrols. Don’t matter where he is, there are a few panning shots of cops and he is in there.

    unbiased look at D11

  • Kam vs Gronk will be a thing to behold.

I wonder who’s gonna stop Edlemen though?

It used to be LB could break those WR coming across the middle, but not anymore.

    While card should be White.

On the SEA side, they gotta get Prosie going cuz the Pats have an underrated D.

  • I’m wondering what’s the difference between Sherman and Peanut?

I see a lot of similarity to their play.

Sherman is big bodied and mainly plays zone like Peanut.

Sherman gets INTs, but Peanut forced fumbles.

    Hmmmmm

    • Huge Bears Penis

Peanut was not a loud mouth jackass.

      • AlbertInTucson

And could not get away with as much as Sherman does.

      • willbest

I don’t know what Sherman does off the field, but I know what Peanut has done humbles me in my own efforts.

    • CanadaBear

      Nut had 38 picks.

  • AlbertInTucson

Looking VERY promising to move to 7-3 in FF. Opponet has ONE point with only Russell Wilson stil, active. Blount and Gostkowski just moved me to 21 points.

  • You can R-E-L-A-X Ender

Jordan Howard denied that he suffered an ankle or Achilles’ injury in the Week 10 loss to the Bucs.

“Nah, I ain’t suffer nothing,” said Howard when asked aboutcoach John Fox’s remark that Howard was injured in the second half. Well, then. We don’t know what to believe, and don’t expect to hear much else out of Chicago with the ultra-secretive Bears rarely ever shedding details on player injuries. – Roto

    • Unless of course, the double-negative means he did indeed suffer something.

    • MB30SD

      Who cares, we blow

      • He ran for 100 in the first half.

But fumbled and was pretty much benched the rest of the way.

        You like my new avi?

I think I might keep it the rest of the season as a reminder of Cargo.

        • MB30SD

Is that fucking content you asshole.

  • AlbertInTucson

Watching NARROW MARGIN on TCM. Great film noir.

    • Not interested in Pats-Hawks?

      • AlbertInTucson

Movie runs less than 80 minutes. It’ll get me past the haltime recap of the Bears.

        • Remind me to ask you about your top 10 classic movies.

My step dad was watching one with a young Frank Sinatra yesterday (Von Ryan’s Express) and I’ve been meaning to start watching some older flicks (50s-60s first).

          • AlbertInTucson

…EXPRESS isn’t a “Classic” , per se, but it is HIGHLY entertaining. Frank wasnt so young when he made it. Great pace. supporting player, Brad Dexter (Bostic) was also a Sinatra buddy and the one of the MAGNIFICENT 7 who never became a lead actor. Sinatra insisted on a significant change at the end of the film from the novel.

I will have to start editing a TOP 10 list. I have a LOT of favorites.

          • Or Top 20, which ever is easier.

Don’t want to give you a homework assignment lol But rather ask you than just get a list blindly off the net.

And I don’t want to ask one of my “filmy” friends who weren’t even born when the movies came out.

            Whatever comes to mind.

I’ve only watched a few, like “Doctor Strange Love” (which I LOVED) and the such, but not enough.

          • AlbertInTucson

Talkin movies is something I can do forever.

STRANGELOVE is great. Compare it to FAIL SAFE sometime.

Here’s some, in no particular order, that always stop my channel-surfing if I come accross them, even though I have them on DVD

            CASABLANCA Bogart

            THE MALTESE FALCON Bogart

SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON The Duke

            THE GODFATHER

            SERGEANT YORK Gary Cooper

            FORBIDDEN PLANET

THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD Errol Flynn

THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE Flynn

            THE GREAT ESCAPE

            THE MAGNIFICENT 7

            STALAG 17

          • Cool. I’ll copy/paste under Al picks.

Godfather of course I love too.

I think I saw Casablanca once, though I was with a chick, and we ended up having sex halfway through it, so gotta watch it again.

I haven’t even heard of a few other ones, like Stalag 17.

Naturally, liked Patton and the original Thin Red Line as well.

          • Weed Superman (GP)

Catch 22 is better than Stalag 17.

          • I’ll add that to the list.

Watched Tora Tora Tora more than once too, but I kinda see that as more of a doc.

            I know you watched Patton.

            I read your book!

          • AlbertInTucson

Correct call on TORA, TORA, TORA.

            “Rommel, you magnificent BASTARD…”

          • AlbertInTucson

            I disagree, STRONGLY.

          • AlbertInTucson

I love CASABLANCA, but I certainly respect/approve lyour choice to stop watching halfway into it.

PATTON is a great choice, though they use post WWII era PATTON tanks in lieu of what should have been SHERMAN tanks.

They managed to conjure up SHERMANS for FURY.

George C. Scott is so outstanding. What a contrast to his “General Turgidson” in DR. STRANGELOVE.

            I prefer …PRIVATE RYAN to …RED LINE.

STALAG 17 is a tour de force for William Holden. Love Holden in THE BRIDGES AT TOKO-Ri, a great Korean War film, and BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI.

Robert Mitchum in OUT OF THE PAST, my very favorite Film Noir.

Jimmy Stewart. WINCHESTER ’73 is an outstanding, dark western.

ANATOMY OF A MURDER is Stewart vs Scott in the courtroom.

Another excellent Gregory Peck is CAPTAIN NEWMAN,MD. which deals with Soldiers and PTSD when it was known as Combat or Battle Fatigue. Nice early work from Robert Duval, too.

7 DAYS IN MAY Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster.

SPARTACUS is Still The best “Sowrd & Sandal” epic, GLADIATOR not withstanding.

Now see what you have started.

            Watching the game, again, BTW.

          • Will watch those too.

            Def the film noir one.

That Anatomy of a Murder sounds good. Stewart V Scott can’t suck.

If you like Scott, have you watched “The Exorcist 3”?

He’s in it, and I really like that flick. It’s more of a psychological thriller, and I love his character in that.

            Recommend it.

          • AlbertInTucson

Havent seen that. I am not an EXORCIST fan. The genre fails to interest me. Like Zombie films, the Halloween, Friday The 13th & Nightmare on Elm Street series.

          • the 3rd one is not really “Horror” – it’s more like Silence of the Lambs as in kinda scary, but more thriller.
It’s based on a book “We Are Legion” or something like that.

And the director for the first came back to make the 3rd cuz he hated how they ruined the sequel.

Scott’s performance in itself might be worth it. I think the dialogue is pretty funny in parts, and the premise is somewhat unexpected.

Throw it on when you’re bored. Give it like 30 mins cuz it’s a lil “slow” to start but kinda picks up.

          • AlbertInTucson

More recent films I really like:

            GOODFELLAS

            L.A CONFIDENTIAL

            THE KING’S SPEECH

            BRAVEHEART

            THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER

            HEAT

            THE FIRM

            A FEW GOOD MEN

          • Almost any good film from the 80s up, I’ve watched (with some exceptions).

Although from that list, I haven’t watched the King’s Speech.

Lately, have been neglecting the 2000 “artsy” movies . Dunno why.

          • CanadaBear

Hogan’s Heroes was a sendup kinda, sorta of Stalag 17. POW movie. Great stuff.

  • Shea blocks PAT. Conte pic-6 on Cutty.

    Throwback sunday.

    • MB30SD

      Smfh

  • Gronk OBVIOUSLY concussed.

    Or chest cavity caved in.

Earl Thomas giving up about 100 pounds layed the WOOD.

    Booya!

    • MB30SD

      Guy’s a stud

  • Make RedZone Conv% Great Again

That’s how you draw up the tightend underneath route.
McDaniels designed it so Brady doesn’t have to turn his back to the D and givees him a better position to make the throw.

Birdcages version that Cutler got picked on is fucking disgraceful.

    #coachinggoals

    • MB30SD

Always been pretty fucking impressed with Matt Patricia… And his beard

  • Smart by Petey.

Lot of other coaches try to save that last TO wasting like 10 seconds by running 20 yds down field.

  • Weed Superman (GP)

Any of you guys watching Westworld?

Nerd tip: At the end of this episode, on Ford’s lab table, there was a Voight-Kampff machine.

  • Boy, this game feels like a SB.

Petey is perhaps the only coach that truly doesn’t fear Bill.

    • MB30SD

Love that team despite all of the hate for them here.

That D is just way too beastly not to love. All the wah wah waaaaaa about how physical they are is just that.

      • I was kinda rooting for them too cuz FUCK the pats.

I don’t despise Sherman either just cuz he speaks his mind, and unlike the bennet bros, intelligently.

        • MB30SD

          Yeah, dude’s a baller.

My man crush kam, Wagner, wright, Thomas, allll studs. What’s not to like.

Oh fucking waaaaaa, they hit too hard and play too hard and try to hold again bullshit NFL rules that are so slanted to the wrs… Waaaaaa. Gimme a fucking break, it’s called fooootbaaall

          • Kam was about to CRUSH Gronk on a tipped ball, but pulled back.

You know he wanted to knock him out, but pussy Goodell would’ve suspended him like a year.

          • MB30SD

Yuuuuup… And there would also have been tons of vagina weeping on this here board. Smmfh

          • Did you see that Thomas hit though? Holy fuck. Clean too.

Dude is small, but reminds me of that Eagle’s S Brian Dawkins, aka, wolverine.

            Gronk had to be concussed.

Apparently on twitter ppl were making fun asking,’How would you know the diff between a concusses Gronk and non-concussed Gronk?”

            Kinda fucked up, but funny!

          • MB30SD

Hahaha, that dude’s about as smart as a bag of rusty claw hammers

    • CanadaBear

I don’t think Rex fears him but he probably should.

  • AlbertInTucson

    A compelling game. THANK YOU!

  • That’s a TD

  • AlbertInTucson

Damn. I played Graham but used Hopkins instead of Baldwin.

I am winning handily this week but points scored is a position tie-breaker in our no playoffs league so you cant have too many points.

    • Baldwin is very inconsistent though. High floor, low ceiling.

Hopkins will get you a steady 5 catchs, 50 yds and also has upside (though not lately)

      • AlbertInTucson

That’s a big fact zero in our league. I point for 100 yards and then every 50 thereafter.

        Got to have TDs.

Thought Hopkins had the better matchup vs. Jags.

Hopkins ( More to the point, Osweiler)’ will have to show me he rates a start from here on.

  • I actually like that call from Petey.

Go for the kill shot, be up by 9

    Worst case scenario, it’s tied

If it’s 7, and the pats get a TD, I doubt they go for 2.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Gronked. Again. Wow.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Wow!

Upon further review, I think they got it right. Gronk initiated The contact.

    • Yeah, good no call.

Funny. I started off saying Kam-v-Gronk will be a thing to behold, and that’s what it came down to.

Also expected heavy dosage of Prosise, and thankfully I was right cuz Shady started Christine Michael.

I have a chance to hang on to win if ODB doesn’t blow up on MNF.

  • AlbertInTucson

    NFL:

    Lfor grabs,

  • willbest

I think with Brady and Ryan coming back down, Zeke is making the frontrunner case for MVP

  • I don’t know what was worse, Trump getting elected, or Conte getting a pick 6.

    Avi!

    • MB30SD

      Asshole

      • Could you imagine how good that felt for Conte?

He’s probably furiously whacking off to that highlight as we speak.

        • Scharfinator

If he didn’t break his arm when he got hurt

        • MB30SD

          Disgusting

    • beninnorcal

I think the Conte pick was actually worse than Trump getting elected. I’ve always been a big Jay supporter, but after that, I’m ready to move on. Cemented his legacy on that one.

      • SC Dave

        Yeah, a Mr. Hyde game.

The performance contrast between last week and this week is Jay Cutler’s Chicago career in microcosm.

        • chitownproud85

“Sigh; Yeap” is the only response necessary anymore. When you keep doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result…yea.

      • CanadaBear

My moment of clarity was against Buffalo when Cutler threw the pick to the DT that cost the game. Nothing against him personally but it’s never gonna happen with him.
