Money Where My Mouth Is: Three Picks for Week Six

| October 15th, 2015

Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 3.01.04 PM

2-1 last week, only losing because the eventual Super Bowl champion New York Giants had to do it their way Sunday and make the end of the game exciting. 5-1 over my last six and I’m a believer in gambling momentum.

Chicago Bears +3 at Detroit Lions

Hot hand. Two straight covers. And I think the Bears are simply better than the Lions right now. (More on this tomorrow.)

Atlanta Falcons & New Orleans Saints Over 51 Pts

First off, I love rooting for overs. It means lots of scoring. Secondly, I’m not sure either of these teams is any good on the defensive side of the ball. I see a 34-24 type game, smoothly sailing past the number.

Carolina Panthers +7 at Seattle Seahawks

I don’t think the Seahawks are any good. They have two wins on the year. One against James Clausen and they needed all four quarters to win that. One against a Detroit team that was half a yard from beating them in Seattle. It sometimes takes folks time to move beyond reputation and analyze what’s happening on the field. On the field, Seattle stinks. Their offensive line is putrid. Their secondary collapses in the fourth quarter. Their quarterback is limited in the pocket. (If you don’t follow Pete Prisco’s work on this, you should.)

Ron Rivera is salivating when he watches tape of this OL group. Add Luke Kuechly to the mix and I’m comfortable taking the points.

Season Record: 8-6-1

More verve in that one, Yes Guy. I liked it. Not a lot, but I liked it.

  • Viva

    Jeff –

The over bet is a stretch. 3 of their combined 10 games landed over 51. If you think the Falcons are 10 points better than why not give up 3.5 and reduce the risk?

    • DaBearsBlog

No bet is a stretch. The score will land within 5 points of that number on either side.

      • Viva

        Hmmmmm.

        I hope we’re both right.

      • Irish Sweetness

But NO are not going to help with the scoring, so you’ve got to be on the other side of the number.

        1. Their run game will be non-existent, early. ATL are the #1 rush defense.
        2. After that they’ll blitz the shit out of Brees, and he’s not the man he was.
        3. When ATL runs up a score to NO’s donut, Tevin and Co. enter the game, and maybe that fan fave QB too.

And scoring bets are why bookies do well, they add on too may variables to the bet – and needless when one is already betting on the match. Just increase your bet on the ATL -3 win. They’re not going to cover that 51 and then lose. They will. however, bash the Saints.

        • DaBearsBlog

Disagree. Think Saints score a bunch tonight.

          • AlbertInTucson

I dunno. Brees’ arm strength seemed to have vanished by the end of last week.

          • BerwynBomber

Yeah, he looks like he shouldn’t be playing. And btw, the Saints have one of the worst combinations a team can ever have: a crappy defense and a crappy offensive line. That makes for a VERY long season.

          • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd 4ever85! (AKA, ButchDeadLift)

You know what happens on TNF when divisional rivals play?

Lot’s of penalties. Stalled drives. TOs. 13-10 sloppy games.

They tend to feel like tight playoff games no matter the record.

These two teams might buck the trend, but I wouldn’t bet on a shoot-out on any TNF game.

          • AlbertInTucson

            Really, Blogfather?

            I don’t see that.

Drew Brees looked like a guy with a tired (sore?) arm at the end of Sunday and now he has to come back on a short week.

        • Sactowns#1

So many things stack up against ATL tonight though. Thursday night road team, going against an interdivisional dog, idk. I don’t think I can touch this one.

  • Scharfinator

I’d tend to agree with the assessment on the Seahawks. They’ve ground their teeth down from all the Adderal too early.

  • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

BTW, I worked up all the Shea stuff. He and Jones are consistently making their tackles farther downfield than their peers. http://www.dabearsbeat.com/2015/10/15/a-closer-look-at-shea-mcclellin/

(gave a shout out to Da Bears Blog and SC Dave for the data tracker)

    • MB30SD

Enjoyed the article data. Left you a little summfim summfim in the comments section.

…it’s for you too dave. Hee hee

      • Viva

        ditto

    • The GP

      Data –

We love that you are stats man.

But that analysis – it’s got so many variables that you need large, large sample sizes to correct for it. Lineman in front, plays called, offensive lineman faced. There are so many variables not controlled that the tiny variances you show could be pure chance.

      • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

definitely a lot of variables and moving parts, as with pretty much any football analysis.
That’s why I tried to show mean and median, because sometimes there was an outlier or two that skewed the data with somewhat small sample sizes.

    • willbest

Given our general lack of respect for the secondary, and the Bears reasonably decent passing defense, it is not out of the question that the ILBs are playing deeper to help in pass coverage.
The Minny game then becomes interesting because they will play AP and make Teddy beat them.

      • SC Dave

        Last point quite interesting indeed.

  • BerwynBomber

Good picks on paper/make sense. SEA is indeed iffy; they seemingly cannot hang onto fourth quarter leads anymore, as if they caught the disease from GB during last year’s NFCC. And yes, their O-line sucks and their D isn’t what it once was.

That said, I’d be reluctant to toss dirt on them just yet. They gave two of the hottest NFL teams — CIN and GB — all they could handle on the road, and they can still generate a pass rush and they have a QB capable of very savvy play. Hence, agree that the spread is too big but not sure their season is over just yet.

    • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

and I also don’t think CAR is good, especially on the road with that OL. But 7 points feels like a lot to me.

      • Irish Sweetness

I think Keuchly is back, and he’s like Urlacher for them ….

        • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

          their O sucks hard though

    • Pissed Off

Good points. Didn’t even consider how tough they played CIN on the road just one week after the Detroit debacle. I think maybe the corner is turning for them now. And one of my best buddies is a hawks fan and man do I want them to lose. At least until the Bears get another SB…does that make me a bad person?

      • BerwynBomber

Hah! Hell no. Rooting against any team, regardless of where friends or loved one’s allegiances lay, is fair game. In fact, makes sports even more fun.
My only no-no rule as a fan is rooting for injuries. I just can’t do it. Against any player or rival. Closest I ever came to crossing that line was, oddly, not even related to a Bears rival. Specifically, Deion Sanders and Keyshawn Johnson, both of whom I loathed at one point in time. But even with those dudes, I resisted the urge.

        • CanadaBear

Bad juju for sure. On the other hand, if someone does something really dirty or is constantly dirty when they play the Bears, I smile and think karma’s a bitch if they get hurt.

    • willbest

Wagner is all kinds of banged up and might not even play. I am taking Carolina and the points. A touch down is just too good to pass up

      • BerwynBomber

Yeah, but if they get him healthy in the next few weeks, they can still right the ship in time for a potential WC. Plus, the SEA/CAR could be a HUGE game in terms of playoff implications, especially a potential WC bid at the end of the year. Can’t imagine SEA is not well aware of that.

If, OTOH, Wagner is out for the entire year, they yeah, SEA is screwed.

      • Irish Sweetness

That’s probably everyone in the NFL, bar kickers and punters.

    • Irish Sweetness

We’re not a terrible team, and Seattle shut us out remember …..

    • AlbertInTucson
  • Irish Sweetness

Like the bets except for the over on ATAL/NO … the Falcons are the best in the league against the run. Gonna be a long day for Brees when his run game gets shut down. They can get after the QB.

    (14-5)

    ATL -3 @ 5/6
    CHI to Win @ 13/10

    3.6 to 1 double

    1. Chicago, because we’ll win.
    2. ATL because they’re a scoring machine with a defense that takes the ball away and stops the run and hits the passer …..and the Saints suck.

    PAYMENT!

    • MB30SD

Hallelujah brother… the saints do indeed suck

  • TheBigCheesy

Packers 5-0 ATS! Giving less than 10 points at home. Are you sure you don’t want that action??

    • Irish Sweetness

They put the numbers up, but SD have a decent secondary, no? Cobb looks knackered.

      • willbest

San Diego also has Redzone Gates back

        • Irish Sweetness

          3 catches, 10 yards, 2 TDs.

    • BerwynBomber

Your offense has struggled the last two weeks, Cheesy. The lack of Jordy’s consistent deep threat will be missed all season, and Fat Eddie can’t get going. (Wasn’t Rodgers your leading rusher against the Rams?)

Rodgers is still great but frankly your O suddenly looks pedestrian. And though your D has picked up the slack, if Matthews were to go down (and he hasn’t been Mr. Durability through the years) you’re fucked.

      • TheBigCheesy

If Matthews goes down, the Pack is fucked? Umm… no.

If Matthews and Nelson and Bulaga and Burnett and Lang and Raji and Perry and Hayward and Adams go down, while Cobb and Jones and Lacy limp around the field, then maybe yeah the pack is kind of fucked.

Although, maybe not. They seem to still be playing pretty well shorthanded so far.

        • BerwynBomber

I see what you did there. Yeah, I’ll give you dudes credit: a ton of injuries you have dealt with.
          P.S. you forgot Barrington.

          • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd 4ever85! (AKA, ButchDeadLift)

            Until the playoffs.

          • MB30SD

            uno y termine bitches

          • TheBigCheesy

I Intentionally left him out because I’m not sure he’s ever proven he could be an above average player. There have been a few other guys (Josh Boyd) who have also gone down but I don’t know how much they’ve been missed. I didn’t think Quarless would be a big deal but it’s starting to look like they need him.

  • Sactowns#1

Now Bellamy is sitting out of practice with a groin injury? Wth is happening to our WR corps?

    • willbest

      Jay Don’t care.

      • Sactowns#1

On that note, I just got a “Jay Cutler Makes Me Drink” t-shirt. It’s true, because I take shots for every TD.

    • willbest

Alternatively there might not be synergy between the S&C coach and the WR coach. Perhaps they aren’t stretching properly and pulling muscles.

    • Irish Sweetness

Ify needs to get a phone call, seriously.

      • Bender McLugh

        Lawrence too

      Grrr.

    • MB30SD

they’re a bunch of fucking pussies?! Jesoos christo!

  • Pissed Off

I’d agree on the 1st two. I have no good reason for picking the Seahawks to win by more than 7 (based on the facts you listed) but I’m gonna take Seattle to come out of their funk and crush. The main thing with them is the offensive line is bad and until that’s fixed, they are an iffy team. However, when that is fixed, I think they are an immediate SB contender. No telling if they will gel at any point this season though.

I look forward to tonight’s game. Should be fun watching all the scoring and both QBs throw for over 300 and multiple TDs.

  • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

If I were a betting man, I’d be laying a lot of money on NE this week. Only 8 point favorites at IND.
    1) IND sucks. Hard.
    2) NE is pissed off, and they play really well when they’re pissed off. They’re Eff You mode is 2nd to none.
    3) They’re in extra Eff You mode this week because IND bitched about the footballs in the AFC Championship game last year to shift attention from the fact that they were outclassed by the Patriots in every manner imaginable.
You could make NE 25 point favorites and I’d still take them in this one. 8 is a damn lock.

    • BerwynBomber

Right. How dare anyone have the temerity to question NE’s cheating … or … ahem … the Patriots way of doing things?

      • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

I’m not saying what NE was doing was right. But from everything I’ve heard it’s not like it was a unique thing, and IND whined about it because they were pissed they got their asses handed to them, which had nothing to do with inflated footballs. I just think the whole thing was so overblown. Give NE a token punishment (fine/loss of draft pick) and move on.
Regardless of your opinion on how right/wrong it was, you know it pissed NE off, and they blame IND and BAL for it. They don’t get Baltimore this year, so all that frustration is going to be channeled into this game.

        • CanadaBear

As far as I’m concerned they could put any amount of air in the balls that the QB wants. Who cares? However, there is a rule and of course NE violated it. Totally agree with some token punishment and move on.

          • BerwynBomber

But the problem is Brady and the Pats didn’t cop to it. Once you lie to authorities, it usually results in tougher punishment. Plus, I’m thinking the ESPN piece on Goodell being extra-redassed over it because he had cut them a break on Spygate sounded plausible.

          • Bender McLugh

            Boring

          • BerwynBomber

Yeah, it’s all cutesy and boring but if this were the Cheese and Rodgers, and oh btw, they had Spygate in their past, we would absolutely be going ballistic.

            #NotAFanofSelectiveJustice

        • BerwynBomber

Oh, I will agree they will use it as a bulletin board material.

I don’t know about it being overblown. You’re talking about the integrity of the game when one team is knowingly skirting rules for an advantage, and the fact that they are the marquee franchise of the league and winning championships is automatically going to raise the stakes of the allegations.

Did it matter in the Colts game? Hell no. But the texts also revealed that they had been doing it since mid-October last year. So … they barely beat BALT in the divisional round. Is there one play that NE made because the ball was deflated that they might otherwise have not that swung that game? We’ll never know. Which is just one of the problems with cheating. (And btw, isn’t there a theory that was in fact BALT who alerted IND to the Patriots’ practice?)

I have never really cared for Goodell since the moment he took the job and assumed his Barney Badass pose and the story got old and tiresome quickly. But I also don’t think it means the Pats weren’t cheating. In fact, when the judge upheld Brady’s appeal he did so on the grounds there was no precedent for the punishment (surprise! a common complaint during the Goodell era) but NOT because he thought Brady and the Pats were innocent.

And in terms of the everyone does it/Nixon defense. I heard as many ex-players say it was a serious thing as those who dismissed it. And in terms of current players, I would take the majority of their opinions with a grain of salt: they are almost always going to support fellow union guys and they rightfully distrust Goodell.

          • Irish Sweetness

I’ve seen cheating in every sport there is except maybe golf. It’s hard to cheat at golf when there are television networks. And curling. And Nordic skeet shooting or trampolining – although if you can spot cheating in those things, and are watching them in the first place, good luck.

        • DaMurph

I agree too much made of it. Shit, its cheating every hold, every pass interference, every illegal pick that shoulda been called but isnt. If the NFL was so concerned about air pressure, they should have been keeping the balls in their control at all times. The signal stealing thing, the only rule broken was recording, they coulda hired a bunch of guys with great memory to watch and take notes with the same result. The NFL seems to be using the Pats to garner more interest, hahaha!

          • Sactowns#1

Did anyone else notice the illegal pick in the pass to Forte for the W? Just saying.

          • BerwynBomber

See Butch’s post/link on the difference between cheating and penalties. Yeah, it sucks when in-game stuff goes against your team and isn’t called. But that’s a WHOLE different thing than stacking the odds illegally before the game even starts.

And again, this whole boring, exhaustive story could have been avoided if Brady and the Pats had an ounce of integrity and just admitted what they had done.

          • Cutty of Olivet Nazarene

Let’s agree to call that a rub. Blasphemy Sac.

          • DaMurph

I dont understand how one pick is ok and another one isnt. It seems like a ref can call it almost any pass play on a crossing route if he chose to.

          • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd 4ever85! (AKA, ButchDeadLift)

There’s a HUGE difference between cheating and penalties, Murph.
There’s no such thing as “small” cheating in sports. It’s like lying under oath. ANY lie can be subject to huge penalties because it undermines the entire system.

Let’s say it IS considered a “small” advantage (even though their fumble rate coincidentally coincided with the under-inflation), it’s not as if the Pats just announce all the ways they cheat. Add that, some cameras, some other “small” infractions, and it all adds up, while other teams might be playing it by the book.

I think Cartman summed it up best.

I agree. I think the Jets and the Bills are the only teams where I would be hesitant to spot less than 9 points.

    • Irish Sweetness

Liking it Woodsy. And here’s a number for you. 4. The factor by which your investment will multiply if you double that with CHI +3 or ATL -3. Nice return for a sporting bet.

      • DaMurph

Nate may be gone, but NE just plugs another one in and off they go!

Where does Jeff get his lines from? I’m not a hardcore better, is there an international line?

    From what I see preliminary.

Pits -3.5 vs Ariz? Easy money. Ariz will blow them out IMO.
Jax +1.5 vs Texans? Jax might upset. Texans just keep imploding.

Wilson is also on pace to tie or break the David Carr record for sacks. 70 something.

Brees is on pace to get sacked 50 plus times which easily eclipses his previous sack record in the 30s.

    • willbest

Vegas must think Big Ben plays

      • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd 4ever85! (AKA, ButchDeadLift)

That was my first thought too. Some reports are swirling about that, but why risk Roth to a non-division, non conference, with a fierce D team?

Vick has been putrid. He’s turned Antonio Brown into shit, and that takes a special skill.

Antonio Brown has gained 40 yds in each of the last two games with Vick when previously, he ran a streak of at least 5 catches and 75 yds for like 2yrs or something.

Wilson has actually avg 80 yds the last two games.

So, yeah, Wilson has outproduced Antonio Brown with Vick in.

Jeesh. Is this guy a bust already? Microfractures are no joke.

Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney (ankle) said he hopes he can play Week 6 against the Jaguars.

He missed Thursday’s practice. Clowney is dealing with a sprained ankle which required a walking boot as recently as Monday. He did not practice on Wednesday but said he is “making progress.” Clowney
has 12 tackles through the first five games of the season, but he has yet to record a sack in the NFL. – Roto

  • BillW

Math nerd alert – if you DGAF (just learned that one) about statistics then skip this.

In Jeff’s tweets there was a graph of Stafford’s passer rating over time; his OC saying he liked Matt’s trajectory and the trend line showing a downward trend. A couple of people including our esteemed JWood quite correctly commented that the R^2 must be very low. The data really looked essentially random.

Further, I suspect the SE of the slope coefficient is very high and therefore the slope is not significantly different than 0 – again making the “trend” likely non-existent. UNLESS…

You use weighted least squares, weighting the more recent points higher than the more distant. I don’t intend to do that analysis, but I suspect it could be significant then. Also, not wrong to take out the outliers (both min and max).

I don’t think it’s wrong to say Mr. Stafford has in fact “regressed”. (A little stats humor. Very little)

he’s been an average or worse QB since his breakout season. Basically a worse Jay Cutler.

And no idea why, but this made me lalz… this one’s for TJ: http://www.mandatory.com/2015/10/15/the-funniest-gifs-of-the-week/17

  • Sactowns#1

Well the good news is our top 3 WR’s all participated in practice (2 were limited) But holy shit! We might actually have a full WR corps out there this weekend!!!

    • AlbertInTucson

I will believe that when I see it.

    • MB30SD

after the bye yo. that’s the way it’s looking.

And I swear to gaaaaad, alshon better fucking come back as a #1 god catching everything that’s throw within 30 yaaaaaards of him.

      • SC Dave

After the bye sounds about right. He’ll have 5/8 of a season to show us something.

            What’s the D stand for?

          • MB30SD

Figure it out, you went to a very good college tiger.

      • CanadaBear

When he’s been on the field and healthy he’s been productive. He’s as good as anyone on contested balls in the air (insert own joke here).

    • Cutty of Olivet Nazarene

I’ll take a fully healthy Bellamy, Meredith and Wilson along with a slightly hobbled Royal and you can keep that version of Alshon we saw earlier this year. He looked like an old NBA center trying to run around. Jesus H Christ. When will that guy get healthy?

    • Irish Sweetness

Minus Kevin, unfortunately. I’d love to see a healthy AJ, White, Royal, Wilson and Meredith. Build up the D and that’s a superbowl squad.

      • Sactowns#1

        Word.
Btw looks like both you and Jeff may have been wrong in your prognostication.

        • Sactowns#1

It’s looking more and more like betting whoever plays at home on TNF is the solid bet.

      • willbest

I rather liked watching the RBs out there on the 4 wide sets

  • Sactowns#1

John, the silver, Fox. Talking it up today. And by talking it up I mean providing quick short responses. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/videos/Fox-talks-Jeffery-division-importance/65cce2b9-c39d-430e-b14e-298370dc596c

Check out the ladies on either side of the video. The one on the left looks to be at least 2 bills and the one on the right looks like she’s wearing shoulder pads. I think they used to be Fudgie fans!

That’s some Midwest meat right there!

        • CanadaBear

I was trying to be kind. If she’s over 5’6″ she tips the Toledos at 3 bills, if she’s around 5′ I’d give her a deuce and a quarter. Buuuuuuuuuut she looks “friendly”. WOO-HOO!

          • MB30SD

            hahahahaha…

      205mph. Crap.

You never hear stories of Autobahn splatters. But had those bikers merged him, that would have been insanely ugly.

      • MB30SD

I was holding my breath the whole time.

That said, as you know… it’s known over there… do NOT get into the fast lane unless you absolutely have to and you’ve checked a million times. It’s def not the 405.

    • Irish Sweetness

Anyone who drives that fast is a complete wanker. Complete. No consideration for the unknown.

      • MB30SD

that’s what those roads are made for mate. It’s just a different form of gambling and/or an addiction I guess.

  • Joecashflow

Anybody besides me wishing Poxy hadn’t been so quick to pull the trigger on Brandon Marshall. He is looking all pro again.

    • EnderWiggin

I thought I may have been leaning that way. but no way, you have to remember he was a locker room cancer. Don’t get me wrong, Marshall was making great strides with off-field leadership, loved how he used his illness to help others. But when you disrespect your kicker after a loss – well, not just a kicker – someone who as been residing at Halas Hall for longer that ANYONE, you sir are a cancer.
Let’s wait until we see what White does before we get upset about Brandon.

      • Joecashflow

I heard he was a cancer, but never saw any quotes from players say that. I knew he was pissed when we lost, but the other side of that coin was, and we have heard it said this year, that players just shut down “with that dumb look on their face”. So, yeah, if he directed it way over the top, then I agree with you. But if he just demanded accountability…..well the coaches didnt, so somebody had to step up. I just see a guy that acts very reserved in public and passionate on the field. It just doesn’t equate to me that he was a cancer. To me he was an all pro surrounded by shit attitudes, maybe caused by shit coaching. I am just saying, why not give him a try in pre-season and see. He made a few after the trade comments about Cutty, but so did Urlacher, lol.

        • Huge Bear’s Penis

it’s not like he ever had a reputation of being a great locker room presence. there were stories when he was in Denver and Miami, granted alot of his problems back then were off the field.

          • Joecashflow

All right. I got it out of my system. He’s dead to me. Waiting for a Kevin White rumored showing.

      • BearDown100393

Hard to trust a guy in the locker room when he is just itching to blab the intel later in a NY television studio.

It’s like having great sex with an X.

Naturally, you miss the sex. But then you remember, “That chick’s fucking crazy,” and carry on.

  • Irish Sweetness

So could Atlanta stop fucking around and score some points please.

This is Jack’s slightly worried face.

    • TheBigCheesy

      u need three tuddies, bruh.

  • AlbertInTucson

Benjamin Watson. Isn’t like, 50 years old?

    • willbest

Well last week TNF made Andre Johnson and Frank Gore look like was 2005, why not Watson this week

  • willbest

Dammit Saints. You had 1 job. Keep Freeman to under 70 yards and no score. And you F’s it all up

    • Pissed Off

And fuck the falcons d for letting fat mark Ingram score twice.

  • Johnnywad
  • Irish Sweetness

Jim Nantz is determined to read the entire fine print on his crib note regarding on side kicks tonight.

  • AlbertInTucson

52 points. That’s the “Over”. Nice call, Blogfather.

    • Irish Sweetness

Yeah, good call, Jefe. Good call.

Makes you wonder about the Falcons, they looked terrible.

      • Huge Bear’s Penis

Road teams on thursday night never seem to perform very well.

    • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd 4ever85! (AKA, ButchDeadLift)

all it took was a punt block for a td! That’s a dangerous way to make a living lol

Like I said, TNF games tend to be sloppy affairs. I would shy away from most of them.

    • BerwynBomber

Excellent call by Blogfather. I believe he also picked the Saints to win earlier in the thread.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Hope the Bears are watching,

0-5 Loins could be as dangerous in their house as the 1-4 Saints were in theirs.

    • BerwynBomber

True but Stafford ain’t Brees. Then again, DET has a better overall team than NO.

  • http://t.co/MsJnMxjrmd 4ever85! (AKA, ButchDeadLift)

    Lovie, Defensive Guru.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are allowing 29.6 points per game this season, the most among all 32 NFL teams.

Coach Lovie Smith is not pleased with his team’s defensive effort, saying, “We’re going to be a heck of a defense this year, but that many points is too many, simple as that. We need to get that down.”Smith was speaking after last week’s game where the Bucs allowed 38 points to Jacksonville, which came on the heels of allowing 37 to
Carolina in Week 4 – Roto

    • AlbertInTucson

I think Lovie’s still waiting for Tommy Harris to get healthy.

  • MB30SD

Irish… who you got this saturday morning (of your night I guess?)

I think SA takes a VERY close one.

    • Irish Sweetness

Argentina – which on first inspection sounds good, but they happen to have scored more tries than everyone except SA and NZ !!

      • MB30SD

You didn’t really answer my question. I was asking about the SA v. Wales match my man.

  • http://www.dabearsbeat.com/ Johnathan Wood

Saints/Falcons reaches 52 points on a TD with 1:29 left. Jeff breathes a sigh of relief as his hot streak continues.
