Money Where My Mouth Is: Three Picks For Week Nine

| November 5th, 2015

Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 3.01.04 PM

Can’t complain about my picks a week ago. Saints flew by their number. Packers never approached theirs. And the Bears / Vikings game was a coin flip. 2-1. Four games over .500 on the season. This week…

ST. LOUIS +3 AT MINNESOTA

One team I think is very good. The other team is the Minnesota Vikings. And if Teddy Bridgewater struggled against the Bears defense, what is he going to do against one of the best defenses in the sport?

GREEN BAY -3 AT CAROLINA

No comment. Well one comment. Where are all the people who argued the Packers wouldn’t miss Jordy Nelson? They seem awfully quiet to me. The Packers are consistently credited for having magnificent drafts and an unending basket of talent. But it’s never been true. They have an all world quarterback. But even he misses his best and most reliable weapon.

CHICAGO & SAN DIEGO OVER 49 PTS

Why don’t I gamble? Because it’s too expensive.

    • Scharfinator

But with Jeff’s stone cold locks, you’re basically turning money away!!!

      • BillW

I am quite impressed with Jeff’s success.

        • Scharfinator

Haha my comment was a bit tongue in cheek, but you are correct. Hitting 59% (ignoring ties) is pretty solid in the gambling world.

          • BillW

I know it was tongue in cheek. It just seemed to be the right place to put that comment; not really replying to you (or anyone for that matter)

  • MB30SD
    • The GP

      Chico would kick everyone’s ass

    • Trac

Surprised Coughlin made that listen. We are talking about fat ass Rex though.

  • The GP

    Jeff –

Please roll back your blog or twit time machine and show us where you called Aaron Donald the best player in that draft. I am calling bs on that.

Secondly – I own Cobb in FF and he’s underperformed. He has dropped some big throws and my book on him is that he’s a very good slot wideout and nothing more. He’s not Julius Jones or Megatron or even BM. He can’t be the go to guy for 1st downs and red zone scoring; his repitore is not that good.

      • The GP

OK, we will give Jeff that one. You are the keeper of the index, Data. Because sometimes Jeff is less of a soothsayer than the guy he plays on tv.

My favorite part of that old thread? That Barb IMMEDIATELY kicks things off by saying Donald would be a stupid pick. Actually reading old Barb predictions is generally a hoot.

I was under no illusions that Donald would be there at 14, so I wanted Hageman or Dix. Not bad thoughts. Hageman is anchoring that Falcons top run D and Dix is still, in my mind, a step up from Amos.

        • MB30SD

was in vegas for a big group of friend’s 20th fantasy draft this year. I don’t play, as you all know, but I do know the game and a lot of teams/players since I stay up on it all.

So I tells two buddies who have a team together and are up but don’t have a solid pick. I says, dude, take donald, trust me. the bears wanted him that draft and I know he’s a stud. I’ll buy you both an 8-ball if I’m wrong (yeah, it was that kind of weekend, but I was the only one not using that garbage)…

they pick him and he opens with two sacks and a bunch of tackles for them. BOOM! you’re welcome bitches.

    • AlbertInTucson

“…his repitore is not that good.”

      Except against the Bears.

  • I think that STL/MIN game is tough to call. Both teams have bad QBs and good defenses, so it likely comes down to which one does a better job of avoiding interceptions.
But I think Gurley>AP right now, and that should be the difference. If I had to bet one, I’d go with STL, but I don’t love it enough to put money on that game.

    • The GP

The game is a home game for the Vikings. Bridgewater is a different guy on his home turf.

  • An over/under of 49 for Bears/Chargers seems about 10 points too low. BUT…

Like I’ve said before, I feel like Chicago’s game plan in this game is going to be eerily similar to what they did against GB in week 1. Run the ball, shorten the game.

In that game, there was only 1 turnover and 3 combined punts. Though the total score still ended up at 54, it needed a garbage time Chicago TD to top 49.

I think CHI/SD go over 49 this week, but it’s not hard to see a scenario where they don’t even if both defenses play poorly.

  • The Yes Guy

    Yes.

    • beninnorcal

      Maybe.

      • The No ‘Bot

        No.

  • BillW

Jeff, curious why you think GB will cover. Especially given as you say their offense is noticeably weaker without Jordy. I’m surprised they are favored by so much.

    • BillW

Well, not really surprised since lines are set to split the betting public. And the narrative is always Rodgers is god.

But still curious why Jeff in effect thinks that line is too low.

  • The GP

MB posting that mini-sub last thread got me thinking. Bond rant:

Thunderball is Tom Jones at his manly man best. His lyrics are like:

He’s out banging babes while you eat a cheeseburger
He’s driving cars and killing dudes while you sit there
He’s doing your wife as I sing this

The Spectre theme? Sam Smith in his falsetto is like:

Oh no, it’s curtains for me
I think I need to squat to pee
My inner child has been wounded

    So I say this:

    • BillW

I love Paul McCartney, but Live and Let Die has really dumb lyrics for a serious action movie.

      • The GP

When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
(you know you did, you know you did you know you did)
But if this ever changing world in which we’re living
Makes you give in and cry
        Say live and let die
        Live and let die
        Live and let die
        Live and let die
What does it matter to ya
When you got a job to do
        You gotta do it well
You gotta give the other fellow hell
When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
(you know you did, you know you did you know you did)
But if this ever changing world in which we’re living
Makes you give in and cry
        Say live and let die
        Live and let die
        Live and let die
        Live and let die

Still miles ahead of this Sam Smith tune.

        • AlbertInTucson

It’s Roger Moore as Bond so it isn’t all THE “serious”.

          • The GP

Come on now. Moore invented the throw-away quip and the sideways glance.

Arnie and all the 80s action heros all simply emulated this.

          • MB30SD

he was my first bond, although I now heavily favor sean.

        • Sactowns#1

Ooof… For the life of me I will never understand why people would buy his solo/Wings stuff. It’s all pretty terrible.

      • CanadaBear

I had to laugh when peg leg tried to unload the vault during her divorce. I think Paul gave her $50 mil and she wanted half of his net worth (at the time around a billion). Peg leg found out pretty quick that Paul is a beloved musical icon and she isn’t.

        • BillW

Was it wrong of me to find it funny that there were odds on her leg flying off when she was on Dancing With The Stars?

I suspect she was hated in England as much as Camilla.

But Paul has this old fashioned need to be married. Did it again.

          • AlbertInTucson

A lot of widowed guys who were married for a long time just can’t stand the thought of not being married.

          • BillW

I guess he really missed Linda. Story was the only time they spent apart was when he was in jail for possession.

You think of old Hollywood and it was the same thing. I don’t know if they thought sex outside of marriage was wrong or what but people like Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney had so many marriages you’d figure “why keep doing it”?

          • CanadaBear

Pretty sure Mickey and Liz had a lot of sex outside of marriage. I thin they both were the marrying kind. After a couple of times you’d think they would have figured it out. Although I’ve know a few guys that were married 4-5 times. Pretty sure two is my limit.

          • AlbertInTucson

I heard she was NOT musical and hated playing as a part of Wings.

          • CanadaBear

All I know is that Linda came from a ton of money (Eastman as in Eastman/Kodak) and took a ton of great photos over the years. I know nothing of her personally but I could see where she might have hated the on stage stuff. She really wasn’t talented on keyboard and I always heard Paul wanted her with him all the time and she wanted the same thing so … Sounds like she was the love of his life.

          • AlbertInTucson

For sure she didn’t marry him for his money.

I heard he was also tough on her keyboard skills during practice sessions.

        • AlbertInTucson

His kids tried to warn him off of her from the get-go.

          • CanadaBear

Not surprised. I’m not really a Beatles fan or a PM fan. Don’t dislike him or The Beatles but I heard so much of it growing up I just got tired of it. Really don’t understand the no pre-nup.

    • MB30SD

      DEEEEUUUUUMMMM!!

Why you gots to do this to me the day before the open yos?! Yeah, I think it’s obviously due to today’s absurdly over the top sensitive PC bullshit global attitude. No one wants to hurt anyone’s delicate fucking feelings… wah fucking wah. cunts.

Bond back in the day was the embodiment of man. Bang hot chicks, kill bad dudes, play with awesome toys, travel to exotic locales to…. bang hot chicks and kill bad dudes with awesome toys.

Sigh, no bond is like paul McCartney… some english wank who looks like a chick and singles like one even fucking more. Ewwww. FML.

      • BillW

My taste in music is quite eclectic. I like both the Beatles and the Stones. But then again I actually like Yanni – well not him but the live stuff because of the great soloists he has.

And Pink Floyd but also the Trans Siberian Orchestra and the Afro Celt Sound System.

        No discernible pattern.

      • AlbertInTucson

I like particular songs, not necessarily particular artists/ groups.

Lots of early Beatles dot my playlist but none of it is I AM THE WALRUS or HEY JUDE.

Lots of Beach Boys. Some Stones. Lots of Neil Diamond. Eagles.Moody Blues.

I have mixes for “50s-60s” and then “Post 70.”

Several folk rock / ballads mixes led by the Kingston trio and their ilk.

A 40s Swing mix dominated by Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller.

Pop standards with Blue eyes, Dino, Ray Charles and some Patsy Cline among others.

I LOVE “Cab Driver” by the Mills Brothers.

I have 2 disks of Movie scenes that work ( for ME anyway) with just the dialogue like the climax of THE CAINE MUTINY when Defense Attorney Barney Greenwald (Jose Ferrer) breaks up the acquittal celebration party and exposes “The Real Author of The Caine Mutiny). Lt. Kiefer (Fred MacMurray.).

        No Rap/Hip Hop, thank you.

        • DaMurph

You and I are of the same mind musically. Must be some generational thing.

          • AlbertInTucson

Probably. 99% of my music library is pre-eraly 80s.

I also have a lot of favorite soundtracks.

From SPARTACUS and THE THE BIG COUNTRY to LI’L ABNER and GUYS &DOLLS.

Naturally, I also have things like AUTUMN THUNDER: 40 YEARS OF NFL FILMS MUSIC. I still have the 5 volumes of NFL FIMS Music they originally released on Vinyl!

  • The GP

“When you have a sportscast led by Hub Arkush, you know that you’re getting the most professional product in the city.”

I’m guessing this is Jeff sarcasm, hence the quotes.

I wonder how many people pay for Hub’s Pro Insider on his site. So they can watch him break down All-22 footage, something that lawyers did a cease and desist on Our Boy Roy for doing 4 years ago. And Roy probably does it much better.

    • BillW

Reading Jeff;s tweet feed that accompanies the blog is an art. Sometimes you have to go back several to see what he is referring to, or open the retweet. In this case, he tweeted a warning right before that the next tweet (the Hub compliment) was ridiculous.

      • TheBigCheesy

That’s not specific to Jeff’s tweet feed. That’s the nature of twitter.

        • BillW

True. I meant whatever you call the display that shows Jeff;s tweets on the blog. Meaning sometimes you have to go back one or more tweets to see what a certain one is referring to. I guess I could have said “reading a twitter feed…” rather than making it specific to Jeff’s feed.

        • nature or nurture, brah?

    Interesting tech game changer?

    http://www.wired.com/2015/11/lytro-refocuses-to-create-a-groundbreaking-vr-camera/

Cameras have always had a problem WRT VR: a camera can only have a single depth of field.

Close one of your eyes and hold a finger close to your face. Focus on the finger. Without moving the finger, focus on something further away. What happens to the edge of the finger when it isn’t in focus? It creates a semi-transparent blur which covers whatever is behind it. It’s specifically difficult if the separation between foreground and background is complex; imagine a spoked wheel in front of a chain-link fence in front of a row of trees. This makes using a VR headset to view real and non-computer generated imagery nearly impossible. Until – perhaps – now.

A plenoptic system does this automatically by firing against many depths of field at once. It could – potentially – synthesize these images during playback so the VR headset viewer felt properly immersed and not suffer from focal length issues.

If it can synthesize this into a single image to be played back in an Oculus Rift VR headset, then effectively you would have the movie Strange Days with some reality minus the sense of touch and smell. We could strap one on Butch’s head and live his life vicariously via our Oculus Rifts. A multi-BILLION dollar industry would create itself nearly overnight.

    • Scharfinator

I wonder when external VR will get outdated – that is to say, when we will figure out how to tweak our brain chemistry to just put the experiences into our heads. Scary, but also so many applications.

  • willbest

    Other issues Cam has
    1) He is the 3rd best QB in the division
    2) He hasn’t won a super bowl
    3) He has been injured
    4) He was drafted #1 overall vs. a 3 rounder and so where Russell has more than exceeded expectations, Cam has barely lived up to his.
    5) Its a small media market and hyping him isn’t great click bait.

    • Sactowns#1

You know whats interesting, you look at the stat line and the QB metrics and Cam is sub par. But you watch him play and you know he is willing this team to win in many instances. There is something the eye test captures that all the metrics in the world cant.

      • AlbertInTucson

File under “Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics.”

Currently, Cam Newton isn’t even in the top 25 of NFL QBR.

Guys ahead of him include: Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallet.

        • AlbertInTucson

Also the recently benched, Colin “Headphones” Kaepernick.

          • Sactowns#1

Exactly. Now follow up to that question. If you could trade Jay for Cam straight up would you? Would you sacrifice a #1 or #2 on top of Jay?

          • AlbertInTucson

Good question that I don’t have a good answer to other than Carolina wouldn’t take that deal.

Rivera often uses Newton like a fullback and, big as he is, he’s a major injury waiting to happen doing that.

      • Cutty of Olivet Nazarene

I agree that stats can be very deceiving but I watched him also throw 2 TD’s and 4 INT’s against Philly and Seattle and the Panthers won both times. It just goes to show that it’s a team game.
If Cutler does that they lose by 30 both times and the city would go insane. Instead Cam is put in the MVP discussion??? There is a huge double standard when it comes to a lot of players and teams in this league and how we critique our own QB.

        • Scharfinator

QB of a 7-0 team – that’s all you need for MVP consideration.

          • Cutty of Olivet Nazarene

            Most Valuable Player(s)

    • BerwynBomber

Newton has barely lived up to his draft status? I don’t know about that.

If you expect every #1 overall QB to be Peyton Manning, then yeah, Newton has struggled. If you take a more balanced view — that the mean is somewhere between Peyton and a bust — then Newton has done just fine.

Btw, I”m not a huge fan of the guy but he is about to take his team to the post-season for the third time in, what, four or five years? The majority of teams would sign up for that from their QB in a heartbeat.

      • willbest

#1 overall picks are expected to make multiple pro-bowls and be a difference maker for your team for years. Cam has been doing that, it just hasn’t always looked pretty. So perhaps you could say he just meets expectations. Which is enough from a perception standpoint, because you don’t get a lot of credit for doing what you are supposed to do.

    • Sactowns#1

I agree. We’ll see a female point guard in the NBA in our lifetime.

  • CanadaBear

Had to laugh at the article about the Bears having the 3rd easiest remaining schedule. Of course, the article doesn’t mention the hideous opening schedule, glosses over what looks to be a tough November and then fixates on the weak sisters in December.

  • Huge Bear’s Penis

Lions fired their GM and President. So glad the Bears were able to let them keep their jobs for a couple more weeks by losing to them.

  • BillW

First Ginny, now Martha Ford. You don’t want to get these elderly women owners pissed I guess.

didn’t mean to start the music wars again. Personally, I like things from marley, to classic opera, to brahms, to the bird, to 80’s classic, to ravi shankar, to… etc… etc… it’s all about the mood.

3 that I simply will not do:
    * Cowboy garbage – although some of the old old stuff is great. and I love bluegrass
    * Death metal
    * Hardcore rap – although I am all about old skool and melodic stuff (jurassic 5, acer, tribe, etc…)

    • Trac

The closest I got to rap was “Cool and the Gang”. This crap I hear kids playing today? No thanks!

      • The GP

It was Kool and the Gang.

        Saying Cool is not cool.

        • Trac

Hahaha. My whiteness is really white. Lol

          • MB30SD

          • Trac

Hahaha. Jess, kinda what I had envisioned as well.

          • Cormonster

Nothing will get me out of a bar quicker than loud rap or bro country music.

I ditched a hot date a few years ago because the dance place was blaring that kind of music. The second time I politely asked her to leave I said I was going outside for a smoke, and if she wasn’t out there when I was done I was leaving. It worked out well. She turned out to be crazy.

      • BillW

Jungle Boogie is another of my “what the hell?” songs I like (occasionally).

      • MB30SD

hahahaha… cool and the gang. You are cracking me up today maings.

    • BillW

Every word you said applies to me as well. (I assume by “the bird” you mean Charlie Parker.)

Except any rap I guess, though I never listened so I can’t judge.

And I absolutely understand your dislike of (most) of the Beatles. I think I like them more technically than musically. I read a book by their engineer Geoff Emerick that I enjoyed.

    • Phish, man. Phish.

      • MB30SD

        • wash ufize drive me to firenze.

You guys are both nuts…this kid ain’t the Anti-christ!

He is for sure as Alien-Hybrid though…no doubt about it!

          • Trac

Does that clip have the bad hair do guy in it? Cause a UFO piece just ain’t genuine if he’s not in it. Just sayin.

          • MB30SD
          • MB30SD

and wow, these guys are either fucking monkeyshit crazy, or we’re not alone.

I personally feel like it’s got to be a total impossibility that we’re the only lifeforms in the entire universe.

that said, the way they talk about it is somewhat…. crazy feeling.

          • Trac

There’s a greater probability that there is life on other planets than the probability we evolved from slime. Just sayin.

          • MB30SD

right, because there’s no probability about the later… it’s called science. YAY science! hahaha ; )

          • Trac

            Uh huh.

  • Huge Bear’s Penis

    • MB30SD

      Excellent work lad!

Of course, my favs are # 7 and 15

DaBearsBlog @dabearsblog “Lions recent success was fluky. Their off was QB throwing jump balls 40 yds downfield to all-world WR. When that went away so did Detroit.”

No, last year their offense was fine and Megatron was not heavily involved. The difference?

    1. Stafford played solidly last year (he and Cutty have basically traded places from last year to this year in terms of efficiency)
    2. Their O-line was competent (this year it is one of the worst in the league)
    3. Their RB corps of Bell, Bush and Riddick was very effective (this year Bell has been mostly injured, the rookie Abdullah fumbles too frequently, Bush is gone, and only Riddick is providing them production akin to last year.)

If anything, our O relied more on the throw-it-up-for-grab jump balls the last couple of years when we had BMarsh, Alshon and Uni … who are all huge targets … than DET did w/ one.

Also, DET’s D has taken a big step backward with the loss of Suh and Fairley and the injury to Levy. No small thing in terms of their struggles.

    • Trac

Nice Ber, but you’re spending way too much time reflecting on the Lions. He he.

      • BerwynBomber

Rivals. If I do it with an out of division team, then yes, serve me the DBB detention and rescind my posting rights.

Cheese, Lions, Vikings? Half the time I feel as if I know their teams nearly as well the Bears.

        • Trac

I’m just being catty Ber. Get it? Uh yeaaah…

    • DaBearsBlog

71 catches, 1077 yards and 8 touchdowns in 13 games. And the offense didn’t work when he didn’t play.

      • BerwynBomber

So? Golden Tate had 99 catches for over 1300 years for them. Tate was their leading receiver last year.

    • Detroit’s offense was not fine last year. It was statistically basically identical to Chicago’s.

      • BerwynBomber

DET scored 20 points a game last year (our average this year) and Stafford threw a third less INTs than Cutler.

They were obviously a D-first team but their O was more positive than negative. This notion that their O was “fluky” and just threw up prayers to Megatron is silly.

        • no, they weren’t fluky, and didn’t just throw up prayers to Megatron. But they also weren’t good.

    • Trac

I miss the good Ole days where there was no replay. Let the game flow, schmoe!

      • MB30SD

hahaha, and I think EVERYFUCKINGTHING should be reviewed because the refs are totally fucking incompetent.

        • Trac

Billy White shoes Johnson! Do you go that far back? He was playing when I moved to the states.

          • AlbertInTucson

Before White Shoes it really all began with KC’s Elmo Wright.

          • BillW

You win the old guy post of the day. Even I don’t remember him.

          • AlbertInTucson

Late 60s early 70s. I couldn’t even find a celebration of his on You Tube.

He would high step in place and then spike the ball.

Tame by today’s standards but unique for it’s day.

          • CanadaBear

I kinda, sorta remember the name but that’s it.

          • The GP

No shit. If you go older than Billy White Shoes then I’m out.

          • Trac

There you go pulling rank again Al.

          • MB30SD

            nope

(I mean I know who he was… I watch ESPN)

    • AlbertInTucson

The “Blandino never officiated” but makes all the calls now comment is damning and spot on.

I’m for replay. But real-time only. Not reviewed by the field ref and if you can’t see it in 30 seconds, play on.

“I would say that I’ve been honestly more loyal to the Bears than they’ve been to me, so I don’t think I have to apologize anybody if I dress up in a Packers sweater or Detroit Lions sweater or Minnesota Vikings sweater. I will not apologize to anyone for that.”

      He’s dead to me Dave.

      • CanadaBear

I get why people hate Ditka but not over a commercial. I will be forever grateful that he won a SB as a player and a coach of the Bears. Of course, if he knew even the slightest bit about QB’s the Bears win at least another SB. Then he started to believe his press clippings and he drove the whole works off a cliff. Oh well.

        • Irish Sweetness

I don’t get why people hate Ditka, never could. He was more Bear than anyone. He was more Bear than the Bears and Halas. NFL Championship winner as a player and a Coach. His pressers were classic. He’s a meta-legend.

Then he goes and does that ….

      • DocNitty Ellipsoids Ornamental

Yeah. It’s a bitter pill to swallow. But it’s all in good fun. I choose to boycott McDonalds instead.

        • MB30SD

dude, even the McfuckingRib?!?!?! I KNOW you can’t boycott that thing… no one can. It’s physiologically/biologically impossible.

          • DocNitty Ellipsoids Ornamental

Contrary to my sometimes Rubenesque figure, I can and I will.

          • MB30SD

500 blog points for the art reference.

          • DocNitty Ellipsoids Ornamental

250 blog points for recognizing it.

          • MB30SD

almost completed an art history minor my maings. just couldn’t pull it with my major, football, and new college pussy.

Sigh, wish I had buckled down and applied myself… alas, the pull of said new found freedom and endless college vajajay had it’s way with me… and 3 hour practices every day for 5 months a year.

          • Irish Sweetness

            “Dude, even the McRib?”
            Classic.

      • Trac

Aw c’mon now. What if he donated all his proceeds from the ad to charity? Like the National Endowment for dehoofing Wisconsin women. That would be a worthy csuse.

        • DocNitty Ellipsoids Ornamental

Ha! Good one Trac! I’d donate to that fund.

          • Trac

Oh and I dated a girl from Wisconsin when I was a marine. Crazy as bat droppings. I was lucky to get out of that one alive.

    • Irish Sweetness

Dead to me. I always supported Ditka, but to take a dime for doing that … there was no need.

  • BearDown100393

Jim Caldwell is the lone man standing. Everyone else fired.
And the Lions still beat the Bears.

    • BillW

Someone has to turn off the lights and lock the door.

Actually it’s obvious he’ll be gone but the fans need the continuity in coaching. They decided to blame the OC and assistants. Not much for the pres and gm to do now.

The new GM will want his own HC and then they decide what to do about Stafford, like Pace/Fox did with Cutty.

Still is strange that two old ladies shook up their teams; both in the old Central Division.

  • Bears-4-Ever

    Off topic…hmmm there’s a surprise.

What you you guys think of this?

I like the new Concept Design…but I really never heard anyone complain about the current Blackhawk Logo.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/first-nations-chief-supports-blackhawks-logo-redesign-of-black-hawk-210325573.html

    • MB30SD

      the hawk is badass

      • Trac

Yes, it is less racist isn’t it?

        • MB30SD

who cares… I just like it.

          • Trac

            That’s my boi!

    • BerwynBomber

There have been a few complaints just not near the level of those directed at Snyder’s team.

Probably a good idea to change it before it ever gets there. Plus, the name could be kept as well the primary colors of the team. I actually like it better than the Indian head.

    • Joecashflow

Like the new logo, never heard a complaint either. Suggest we just remove all references of native Americans from history books, documentaries, so as not to offend.

  • The GP

War POW and Palin backer John McCain commissioned a report whose findings just hit.

The paid patriotism report shows that the NFL made 7m last year to unfurl those flags across the field and bring some enlisted out to wave and maybe play the band.

It also shows with some stats that it didn’t do anything for 18-34 enlistment.

So McCain is going to kill the program and the NFL can go suck it

    • Trac

His beady eyed ass probably approved the program.

  • Huge Bear’s Penis

LOL Just realized the NFL Network is on channel 666 on my cable.

  • Irish Sweetness

    (23-12)

OAK +4.5 at PIT. Hope Ben doesn’t feel too well just yet. Sac likes the over on this, but there’s two improving defenses here. The Dude abides: “Pittsburgh will roar later on, but the Raiders are like … the here and now, man.”

ATL -7 at SF. Time for Meg to wake up.

CAR +2.5 ovr GB. Panthers holding QBs to 64.5 ratings, that’s better than the Broncos, and everybody else. Packers cost me a 1000 yoyo payday last week. Fuckem.

Denver and Dallas look interesting in the later games. Romo might return.

The Beloved? The Chargers don’t seem to have a run D, and they allow 100+ rated QBs. We don’t seem to have a secondary so it looks like a shootout in the wild west. I guess you take the points in that scenario but I wouldn’t bet on it given the state of our OL. Anyhoo, Go Bears!!
