• Viva

    First the Bye Week..
    Then daylight savings time.

Why are the football gods making us wait so long to enjoy our beloved?

    • SC Dave

It does kind of feel like a conspiracy, eh?

    • T’Challa

And then having to wait until next Monday before another game! 🙁

  • T’Challa

Game day! Facing Adrian Peterson with no Ratliff and McPhee not being 100% is na little worrisome, but giving Fox, Fangio, and Gase 2 weeks to prepare eases my concerns a little.

    • Trac

I wonder how Jeff’s going to explain away a good game from AP today?

  • TheBigCheesy

    Go bears!!!

  • MB30SD

    DEAD

  • AlbertInTucson

The Bears LOST to this Loins squad that is being PADDLED by a Chiefs team that Chicago defeated,IN KC?

Guess the Bears should have played them in London.

    • Cubsnlinux

Bears beat themselves in that game. Lions repeatedly wanted to give the game away and the Bears said no thanks.

      • madscout12

Beat themselves, the refs beat them, and they refused to take that game at the end.

        • AlbertInTucson

You could have stopped at “Beat themselves.”

    • orlandofigure

yeah, becuz the bears are awful right now
going to take a few years of being bad to get good

  • T’Challa

Grasu and Bushrod are out today. Not good.

  • EnderWiggin

Duckass at left guard, Ohmama at right… That is a lot of false starts.

    • T’Challa

      Or vice versa?

  • Pissed Off

We better win today our last loss was to the winless and shitty lions that game still pisses me off especially after how kc throttled them today and the vikes haven’t won here since 2007 so if we lose today they might as well board up halas hall…..well not really but we better fucking win

  • RenoBear

Best play by fuller all year!!

  • willbest

Fuller making a play. Marini ending his career

  • willbest

    Hope Slausen took some Xanax

  • EnderWiggin

    Screen much?

    • RenoBear

I’m not loving the play calling to start the game. Queens all over the screens

      • EnderWiggin

Yeah, We’ll take the 3 though.

  • Shady

    Robbie. Gould. Money.

  • willbest

Sounds like the commentators drinking from the same AP hate bucket that Jefe is

  • willbest

    Where is our pass rush?

    • Shady

      Amos blitz did the trick.

    • orlandofigure

      we dont have one

  • Pissed Off

What the fuck is ditka doing

  • RenoBear

    I fuckin hate wildcat shit

    • willbest

That is probably why you are seeing it

    • EnderWiggin

      I love it!

      • RenoBear

But it never gets much of anything… Just seems a waste of a play

  • willbest

    Good job special teams.

  • RenoBear

    Fucking gross

    • beninnorcal

      Awful.

  • Pissed Off

That was awesome….any chance we could attempt to complete a pass more than 1 yard downfield

    • willbest

Not with what our O-line looks like

      • Pissed Off

If we can’t give him 3 seconds to throw why even play the game

  • willbest

That was an ode to Trestman play

    • EnderWiggin

      ode to the whole series.

  • Pissed Off

    Boooooooooo

  • willbest

Why isn’t Bushrod out there? Can’t play LG?

    • EnderWiggin

CBS Chicago seems to think he lost his starting job…

      • beninnorcal

But a good point by Will, you’d think he’d at least be able to play SOMEwhere on the line.

  • Pissed Off

Who sucks worse d line or o line

    • willbest

D-line. They haven’t had to deal with 3 injured starters.

  • The GP

    AP beast mode

  • The GP
  • 5-5 for 10 yards. Cutler’s ON FIRE.

  • willbest

Cutler is as frustrated with the play calling as I am

  • RenoBear

O’donnell has the SLOWEST punt set up in the league. I hold my breath every time he kicks… And there’s always a defender right in his face. Ugh

    • beninnorcal

I’ve thought it was blocked each time.

  • willbest

I don’t even know why MN bothers to pass at this point.

    • beninnorcal

That’s what I’ve been saying to my buddy, a Vikes fan.

  • EnderWiggin

How come AP can spike the ball after a play and not get delay of game?

    • willbest

      special rules.

      • EnderWiggin

Hell yeah, Royal just dropped the ball a couple weeks ago and got the flag.

  • willbest

Alright Cutler, my fantasy team could really use a 70 yard passing TD to Jeffery

    • MichiganBearFan

      As you wish…

  • Cubsnlinux

Now I have absolutely no clue as to what POX strategy is? As Jeff tweeted they are playing scared and seem to have no clue every week. Do you want to punt the season and play for future? Fine, have Forte share reps with Langford and trade him. Bears right now look like Cubs under the Tribune ownership

  • willbest

Wow wtf. Why don’t they just eject players that do that

  • EnderWiggin

    Cheap shot mother fekker.

  • willbest

San Fran is beating St Louis 3-2… I don’t even understand this league anymore.

    • SC Dave

Draft kings. Fan duel. Gambling. Explains it all.

  • EnderWiggin

Will was right. Someone needs to take the headset from Trestman.

  • Pissed Off

This play calling is horse shit

  • willbest

    Welcome back Kyle Fuller

  • Shady

    Beautiful.

  • EnderWiggin

Thats what happens when you turn your freaking head around…

  • Pissed Off

Hell yes…nice nice way to finish on the turnover

  • Cutty of Olivet Nazarene

    End of First Half
    Bears 10
    Gase and Vikings 10

  • EnderWiggin

Something about Payton chewing out Ryan makes me sad.

  • willbest

    what the shit

    • EnderWiggin

Teddy has been to acting classes…

      • willbest

If they are going to call PF on that kind of ticky tack crap where the defender is clearly trying to avoid contact, then they need to subtract 10 yards from the beginning of every slide.

      • Pissed Off

It was a legit penalty. Bad acting but acho didn’t have to hit him he had time to lay off it wasn’t bang bang

  • The GP

    Suck it Teddy

  • SC Dave

    Thank you, teddy

  • willbest

No o-line. No Forte, No Royal… no problem?

    • Cubsnlinux

      No. Problem.

  • willbest

Drew Brees is playing lights out right now.

  • willbest

I like it throw it to Jeffery until they triple team him and then run it.

  • SC Dave

Fan duel says no personal foul v cutler there

    • SC Dave

      Or is that draft kings?

  • Pissed Off

Can’t even be mad at you Robbie

Cmon Matt we need you back for this 4th quarter

  • Pissed Off

Ok pernell now you go against clemmings replacement and wreak havok

  • Viva

    BEAR DOWN!!

    • The GP

      Suck it Teddy

  • Johnnywad

    Bridgewater sucks at throwing footballs.

    • Trac

You mean we actually have a DC that doesn’t make backups look like all pros?

      • Johnnywad

        Yes?

  • The GP

    Walsh > Gould

    • Pissed Off

      No way.

  • Pissed Off

3 quarters and no offensive tds…..impressive. It takes a team so i expect the o to score here

  • Trac

Cardinals have taken the lead over the Browns. We all knew that would happen.

    • willbest

Maybe… the NFC is nutty this year after the Packers

  • Viva

I’d like to see a 13 minute drive (sarcasm) with a Gould FG to end it.

    • willbest

Probably what Fox told Gase to do.

    • Johnnywad

      17 plays. 56 yards

    • Trac

I’d like to see the Bears pull away and win it outright. Would confound the sports writers.

  • Viva

    MARRY YONNNNIIIII

  • willbest

    Ballsy. Stupid, but ballsy.

  • Johnnywad

Holy shit Cutty. That was a fucking laser

  • Pissed Off

Why do we keep running just to run

    • willbest

      Cause Fox is the HC

  • The GP

    go for it Johnny Foxy

    • Johnnywad

      Yes. Play to win

      • Trac

        Jess.

    • willbest

      wow he is

    • Viva

      FUCK NO

      • Johnnywad

        You meant yes

      • Viva

        I mean…..FUCK YES

  • Pissed Off

We’re gonna need Robbie later for a big one and he’s gonna nail it

    • Johnnywad

      Bears win by 14.

      • Pissed Off

        That would fucking rule

    • SC Dave

Except they didn’t let him do it 🙁

  • willbest

Alshon is on his way to 12 million a year. Wish I could trust him to play hurt.

    • Johnnywad

Provided he stays on the field. He’s definitely proving his ability

  • willbest

    I love the read option.

    • EnderWiggin

Cutty and Langford are good at it.

  • Trac

Let’s not stall here. TD please!!

  • willbest

    CUTLER!!

  • Viva

    CUTTY IS A STUD!!!!!!!

  • Trac

    Jessss!!!

  • EnderWiggin

    What a play!

  • Pissed Off

    Concussion protocol?

  • willbest

    That replay didn’t look favorable

  • The GP

Johnny Waffle doesn’t need Cialis to sport wood after that Cutty run

  • Pissed Off

Started drinking at halftime again seems to be working

    • Johnnywad

Get started earlier next week. Stop fucking around

  • Irish Sweetness

    Good day for the Beloved.

Go Cards. Bitches making me sweat.

    • Trac

      Hahaha

  • Viva

    GET SOME!!!

  • willbest

Levon Bell went down… Feature backs are not having a good year.

  • Trac

Lions got smoked. Caldwell? He gone!

  • beninnorcal

Not a fan of Jay lowering the shoulder but I also can’t argue with the results. Not a sustainable form of qb play though.

    • willbest

Well in the preseason its Fing nuts, but when the game is on the line.

      • beninnorcal

Agreed, but damn, one of these times he won’t get up. Tough dude tho.

    • SC Dave

look where it got McMahon… mush head

  • beninnorcal

Also, who didn’t see the Jay scramble to the right coming? My wife even called it out.

  • Viva

    NANNY!!!

  • willbest

How did he get injured he popped up and made the 1st down gesture

    • Viva

      He pulled a Lamar

    • Johnnywad

Maybe it was one of those shots to the nuts that takes a second

  • Pissed Off

Fuller back to sucking that ball should have been picked but he wasn’t looking again

    • beninnorcal

He was trying to strip instead of wrapping up.

  • EnderWiggin

I’m glad Halloween is over. I’m sick of all the mummies standing around listening to wrap music.

    • Pissed Off

      Ba…dumm..shh

    • Irish Sweetness

Thank you. He’s dead to me.
“We need you to put a Packers jersey on Mike.”
      “Fuck you.”

That’s how that’s supposed to go.

      • MB30SD

so this. my fucking super bowl winning packers buddy, sends me that pic and says… see even your hero is getting with it.

        fucking kidding me?!?!?!

        • SC Dave

I told you years ago Ditka sucked. You believe yet?

      • SC Dave

Ditka has always been an asshole, as I’ve said on the blog for eight years or however long ago it was when I first got here.

It took a Packers jersey for most of you to figure it out, apparently.

  • Pissed Off

    Nice

  • Pissed Off

    Cut mcmannis right now

  • Cutler time. Just the way we wanted it.

  • The GP

Jeff once said that wishing for Sherrick McMannis got you more Sherrick McMannis

  • EnderWiggin

Mr. 4th Quarter about to get Gould in range.

  • The GP

Will Fox go three runs here? He’s crazy if he does.

    Fuck that Jeff

    • SC Dave

Stupid call by Jeff. Loser call.

  • willbest

    Surprised Wilson didn’t get flagged

  • The GP

That’s fucking right Ronde, Forte woulda caught it

  • Pissed Off

    Yay langford

  • Pissed Off

    We in trouble

  • willbest

    where is our 5 yards?

  • Irish Sweetness

Fangio is bottom of the league in blitzing? Need to start here.

  • willbest

    wow

  • EnderWiggin

How is that a good no-call? Hit in the head to often?

  • willbest

    horrible way to lose.

  • Irish Sweetness

The Rolle love has yet to woo me.

  • RenoBear

    What a pisser

  • beninnorcal

    Depressing..

  • so. who else can we trade before the deadline?

    • willbest

Not Forte, we F’d him up.

      • Trac

I missed the excitement. What happened to Forte?

        • willbest

Knee injury. Didn’t look serious. He walked to the locker room without assistance, but it might be a week or two.

          • Trac

I’ll take your word for it. Thanks wil.

          • SC Dave

I walked three hundred yards, up about 40 steps, another 30 yards to my car and drove home with a blown ACL and a split at the top of my fibula. So who knows?

  • i don’t get pernell mcphee. i thought he could block FGs at will. this is 2 games he could have saved if he used his powers. what’s his deal?

    • MB30SD

a decent oline is his kryptonite

  • willbest

Apparently the Saints and Giants agreed to play the game without defense

    • SC Dave

      Fan duel. Rulez

    • beninnorcal

The announcer’s dubbed an ‘offensive explosion’, I immediately corrected them with ‘defensive implosion’

  • wreckinball

    The anti clutch!

  • Pissed Off

Worst fucking team in the nfl. I yearn for the treatman days. He at least gave us hope. Its been real fellas….I’m out.

    • willbest

      So too much drinking then.

    • Trac

I hope you’re not laying green on the faithful PO. Rebuild year man, lighten up. This team has played tough every week. I…just…dont…get…it…

      • EnderWiggin

Seriously. After all, we are three first downs away from 4-3.

    • SC Dave

      Dont feed the troll

    • Scharfinator

Don’t let the door hit ya.

    • beninnorcal

Seriously? Ok. This team is 2-3 plays from .500. Agreed we aren’t going anywhere, but a few warm bodies on the D this spring, and who the fuck knows. Adieu.

      • MB30SD

don’t feed it ben, not worth it

    • Bender McLugh

      Hahaha

    • MB30SD

      smfh

  • willbest

How has Kaepernick become so horrible?

    • BerwynBomber

The few times I have seen him this year he doesn’t seem to run nearly as much. I sense the running helped his passing as well.

In semi-fairness though, SF is a mess of a franchise ATM.

    • Trac

If a qb loses confidence, he done.

    • AlbertInTucson

      No Frank Gore.

      Virtually no Vernon Davis.

      No Michael Crabtree.

Anquan Boldin only gets older and more brittle. I don’t think he nor Carlos Hyde suited up today.

And apparently, the guy really doesn’t read defenses very well.

Other than than, nothing much has changed in ‘Frisco.

    • Irish Sweetness

      When was he good?

  • BerwynBomber

Won’t bash Rolle too hard. He went for the ball and the WR made a better play. As they say, that is why one is a receiver and one is a DB.

What was discouraging was Fuller’s attempt at a tackle on the Diggs TD. That was a half-assed backyard effort.

    • AlbertInTucson

McManus looked like he was trying to hit him with his purse.

  • wreckinball

    Let two Ws get away

    • John Doe

would have been very costly Ws. This team is not going anywhere. But two Ws means losing big time on the draft board.

      • Johnnywad

Only if you assume the draftees are known quantities. Never works that way.

        • MB30SD

          dis

      • SC Dave

        Bullshit

  • John Doe

Bears continue to move towards a good draft position. There is no value in winning these game given how bad the team is.

I just want to see some good individual performances and the team compete well. Jeffery played well again.

    • beninnorcal

Oh no, these Bears will win a few down the stretch that we won’t expect. I still won’t be suprised by 7-9. I won’t be too excited either, tho.

  • AlbertInTucson

The Bear fans at our bar knew we were toast when Langford dropped that pass on 3rd down.

They are who we thought they were.

    • Trac

Let’s face it. Positioning for the draft next year is all Bears fans can get excited about for the remainder of the season. The countdown has already begun.

      • Johnnywad

It just doesn’t help the team as much as learning how to win. There is nothing to be gained by sucking on purpose. The Colts tanked for Luck. Maybe it works out. Maybe it doesn’t. You have to try to win the games. Anything else is detrimental to building a team.

        • John Doe

They are trying. This is the best they can do. It is a team plagued with injuries and lack of talent.

I am all for fighting as hard as they can but ending up on the losing side of close games.

        • Trac

I’m seeing them fight hard every week. That’s why I’m really excited about the draft already. The Bears are going to be good, there’s no doubt in my mind. Just not this year.

  • BerwynBomber

All things considered that my have been Cutty’s best game of the year. We are entering Cutty’s best season as a Bear territory.

    • beninnorcal

He’s playing good ball but so many of our drives end with fg’s. Depressing.

      • BerwynBomber

Yeah, the one knock on Cutty this year is his RZ efficiency. In our wins, his RZ passer rating has been high. In our losses, it has been low.

Today may have been an exception as it was probably good but still a loss.

        • beninnorcal

The injuries and lack of Alshon most of the year haven’t helped down in the RZ.

          • BerwynBomber

Agreed. In BMarsh, Alshon and Bennett, we probably had the best group of RZ receivers for a couple of years.

          • beninnorcal

Don’t forget Matty lined up out wide down there, he’s deadly. Not seeing that as much this year.

  • TheBigCheesy

    Fuckin bears

    • Trac

Be honest. A Bears loss helps us next year. You know this.

    • beninnorcal

And yet you keep comin’ back..

  • beninnorcal

Not many have mentioned it here, but that PR TD.. game closer. How we miss Mr Toub..

    • BerwynBomber

Yeah, our STs were best in the league for a few years there. Once Robbie loses it or leaves it could be a bit like losing Hester.

      • beninnorcal

It’s rough. We also got a pass twice on those Mariani muffs.

  • beninnorcal

In other news, my wife and I are expecting a shiny new baby girl any day. I figure, what better year for me not to care so damn much about my Bears winning? Much bigger shit going down in my world.

    • EnderWiggin

      Congratz blog brother!

      • beninnorcal

        Thanks, Ender, exciting times.

    • Trac

Good for you. Kids=The meaning of life.

      • beninnorcal

Thanks Trac, I guess I’ll be finding out the meaning of life soon.

    • MB30SD

Ben! Mazels my maings. little girls are amazing for daddies.

    • congrats, ben! the wife and i welcomed our first son into the world 2 weeks ago. poor little guy has beared witness to a couple of crappy losses to start off his fandom. fingers crossed he doesn’t remember.

    • RenoBear

Congrats, blog brethren. My little girl is 3 now… All these guys are right, there’s something special about a father and his little girl

    • Cormonster

Congrats ben. Enjoy the next few nights sleep.

    • Viva

The best part of my day is walking through the door and getting the welcome home hug from my daughter. No better feeling in the world!!! Congrats and good luck, Daddio!

    • Irish Sweetness

Girls rule!!! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY !!

  • FourFeathers

We just don’t have the talent. Coaching staff is solid but my God we need talent upgrades everywhere.

    • willbest

Outside of a left tackle our offense just needs to not be injured.

    • BearDown100393

      Special teams unacceptable

  • Trac

Currently, the Bears are tied with 7 other teams for the 2nd pick in the draft. C’mon boys, you can do better than this. He he.

  • beninnorcal

Stay off the Bears FB page if you know what’s good for ya. Full of the dumbest motherfuckers on earth. Just terrible.

    • RenoBear

It’s the worst. I’m amazed how ridiculous some of the ‘fans’ are. Unfortunately, one or two have trickled over here. And then, of course, we still have the fans that still be think Cutler is the problem… Smdh

      • SC Dave

        Or the solution.

        • RenoBear

Ahh, true, he’s not the solution, but he’s a better stopgap for the next year or two than Cousins, Fitzpatrick, etc. Cost wise, it doesn’t matter bc we have tons of cap room. So hey, I hope we get our QB of the future in the next draft or two also. Until then, at least cutler gives us a punchers chance.

  • The GP

    At Chargers
    At Rams
    Denver at home

Can we win one of those?

    • Frank Schoenburg

      Yes

      • The GP

    • John Doe

      2-8 here we come…

    • BearDown100393

I suppose. How much does it really matter?

    • MB30SD

      chargers. they suck.

      • John Doe

Bears are pretty good at sucking too.

        • MB30SD

          seemingly so are you? hahaha

      • DaMurph

When I attend an away game, we win! Bet the farm!!

    • Irish Sweetness

      Em … nope.

  • EnderWiggin

For those of you thinking that tanking will help us, remember this – Good teams draft well (Pack, Pats), bad teams rely on high picks(Skins,Tampa).
Win every game you can (FOR THE FANS). Feck that draft.

    • John Doe

They are not tanking. Bears are not just good enough to win close games consistently. The talent is just not there.

Given this, it is best they keep losing close games.

You can see Fox and players are trying their best. It is just that their best is not good enough on Sundays.

      • Trac

You’ve made your point. I agree and a lot of us probably see what you see. I guess people just don’t want to see a conscious effort by the Bears to tank. As long as Fox is the HC, that ain’t happening.

      • SC Dave

We are hurting big time on o line, and it is not purely for low talent – injuries have not been kind to us.

    • AlbertInTucson

I do not see any sign of “tanking”.

    • SC Dave

      So this.

  • Trac

I’m noticing a lot of teams with shitty records already. There are 9 teams with 2 or fewer wins. Parity seems to be taking a hit this year.

“I’ll believe AP’s not 100 % when he runs for less than 100 on Sunday and not before.”

AP today: 20 carries for 104 yards.

File under ” I told you so”.

    • Trac

Oh yeah? Take away 18 carries and he ran for only 11 yards.

      • AlbertInTucson

        I stand corrected.

    • BerwynBomber

AP isn’t what he used to be but he is still the most explosive RB in the league not named Todd Gurley.

      • AlbertInTucson

        Todd Gurley: VERY Manley.

      • AlbertInTucson

Sadly, NONE of us is what we used to be.

So that’s what the NFL has come to… Announcers during Cowboys game, ‘you can talk til next week about what kind of man Greg hardy is, but you can’t debate that he’s a great football player’ …. Fucking disgusting

    • SC Dave

In Texas, don’t look to Dallas for class. It ain’t coming from the Cowboys. But south a couple hundred miles, it oozes out of a certain organization. Spurs.

  • EnderWiggin

Somebody just got whacked with the moderator stick.. Has that ever happened here before?

    • Viva

      Just happened to me…

I mean if you don’t like your own opinion’s….

    • Irish Sweetness

      Do you watch football?

  • EnderWiggin

    The rule book:
On a kicking play where the defense fails to touch (“block”) the kicked
ball, the defense runs into the kicker/punter. If such an act occurs but
is not intentional, this foul is assessed.

Every fekkin week. I’m not making excuses, but…
    Yes I am, every week.

    • BillW

Hub said it was the right call because O’Donnell made the contact. Not how I saw it (on the new video boards which are amazingly clear btw)

  • Viva

I hope Forte’s injury doesn’t cost him and his family money in FA…

    • BerwynBomber

Didn’t look very serious. Then again, neither did Jordy Nelson’s.

OTOH, LeVeon Bell’s looked a bit grisly.

      • AlbertInTucson

        THAT looked ugly.

    • Irish Sweetness

Never feel sorry for a multi-millionaire, he ain’t thinkin’ about you.

  • Viva

    FUCK TEDDY

    • BerwynBomber

Unfortunately he led his team to ten points in the final four minutes of the game and that will be the national narrative.

      • AlbertInTucson

Answered blogfathers question of the previosu thread:

        “What is Teddy Bridgwater”.

Answer: Another QB the Bears can make to look like Johnny Unitas at crunch time.

Credit where credit it due: He took some solid shots on that TD drive.

        • BerwynBomber

Agreed. I was grudgingly impressed when he took that shot in the knee by McPhee then came back the next play and scampered for fifteen yards and a first down. That was the play that got their TD drive going.

    • BearDown100393

      That’s what Wahlberg said.

  • BerwynBomber

So is the trade deadline Tuesday? Will be interesting to see if Pace can move anyone.

    • BearDown100393

      Satan works in mysterious ways.

  • BerwynBomber

Denver’s D is the goods. Looking like SEA’s of two years ago.

    • willbest

Sun Nov 29 vs Pats is the AFCC preview, and at the rate things are going it is going to decide home field

      • BerwynBomber

Yeah, that will be something. I imagine if anyone can make the DEN D look mortal it will be Brady and Belichick.

  • madscout12

There’s that Packer run D we know and love.

  • SC Dave

Fudge getting packed so far. Bring it Broncos!

  • BerwynBomber

Pull up a chair and watch the Cheese get worked.

  • BearDown100393

Lacy could lay off the spareribs.

  • Irish Sweetness

    COME ON VADGERS !!!!

    • madscout12

Not so good when he doesn’t get the calls.

  • BearDown100393

Cro Magnon gets tripped up by his own guy and leaves the game….. but not before tossing his hair.

    • madscout12

      You mean RoidBarbie.

      • BearDown100393

        Clatlin

  • BearDown100393

    Aaron Rodgers doesn’t care.

  • willbest

It looks like the fudge are just phoning it in at this point.

  • BillW

Has Rodgers ever led a 4th quarter comeback down 14? I would guess no

    • BillW

      I’m sure never from 21

    • NewBearInTown

I think I’ve seen stats about him not really doing much when the Pack trail by 10 or more in the 4th quarter (possibly never getting a win).

Whatever, the guy is one of the best in the world at what he does. So is Manning. But the story of this game is Denver’s defense. 50% of Peyton Manning can take that defense to the Superbowl. But Manning will still be the MVP.

      • AlbertInTucson

Even the Best QBs look like crap when their protection goes to hell.

  • BearDown100393

This is like watching Matlock bitch slap True Detective.

    • willbest

      Prefer Perry Mason myself.

      • BearDown100393

As long as the Cheese loses!

  • willbest

TE Rodgers should have just winged out of bounds

    • AlbertInTucson

      Why?

      The result is the same.

      • willbest

would it? Don’t you get 1 forward pass? he wasn’t in the pocket as long as it cleared the LOS it wouldn’t have been a penalty in the endzone.

        • AlbertInTucson

I’ll concede that possibility, but it’s a REMOTE one.

That would have to be one quick-witted tight end.

          Plus,LOS was what, the 20?

So a Tight End has to throw the ball about 25 yards, on the run or it’s still grounding, in the end zone, resulting in a safety.

Better option: Toss it at an eligible receiver in the neighborhood.

          Like his, albeit prone, QB..

  • madscout12

If the Bears lose, it takes a bit of the sting out to see these fuckers get destroyed. Couldn’t happen to a better team.

    Fuck the packers.

    • willbest

Wouldn’t have expected them to be this inept

      • BillW

We have to draft defense first 2 or 3 picks. If we hope to beat the packers. Rodgers has quit in his eyes. Never saw that

        • madscout12

They’re soft and always have been. We need men that will push them around.

      • AlbertInTucson

Yeah, well, the Bears get to face this Denver D, too.

        • willbest

If we have Cutty, Forte, and Jeffery, we will give them a better game.

          • NewBearInTown

Looks like we won’t have Forte right now. Hopefully I’m wrong.

          • willbest

News I saw was possibly an MCL sprain

          • AlbertInTucson

            Wish I could believe that.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Are we not entertained?

  • NewBearInTown

Wait, is that the rule? Rodgers is sacked, fumbles, recovers the ball in his own endzone and gets to advance to the 20 yard line?

    • AlbertInTucson

      It’s a Safety.

You surrender 2 points and also the football by a free kick (Usually a punty) from your own twenty.

      Pretty “Football Rules 101.”

      • willbest

I think he was talking about a rule special for elite QBs.

        • NewBearInTown

I’m following on NFL.com and it said the play was a “touchback.” I couldn’t figure out why that would be the case and now I see the reason is because there’s an idiot inputting the updates at NFL headquarters.

          • AlbertInTucson

Well, whomever posted that for NFL.com that needs to attend “Football Rules 101 because that was just ignorant.”

          • they must have the officials do that when they’re not officiating

  • RenoBear

I’ve found Bronco fans to be almost the obnoxious equivalent to packer fans. Smugness and ignorance run rampant in both factions. Unfortunately I have a broncos fan at work who I’m not looking forward to listening to tomorrow

    • willbest

Are you sure it isn’t just teams that have put together multiple playoff seasons recently?

      • RenoBear

Nope. Not a jealousy thing. Just too many ‘oh my dad’s uncle’s cousin was a Broncos/packers fan and we went fishing once when I was a kid so I’ve always been a fan. They are so awesome.’ Then they can’t tell you who the QB was before manning, Rodgers or favre. And Tebus

        • willbest

No I mean fans of pats, seahawks, packers, broncos, seem to lose the sort of humility associated having down seasons.

          • RenoBear

Gotcha. Yes, this is true as well maing

  • madscout12

    Nah, nah….nah, nah, nah, nah.

    BLOW, PACK! BLOW!

  • willbest

A bit surprised they didn’t call that forward progress. Jones had no second effort in that.

  • Irish Sweetness

I haven’t watched the Broncos this year – how the hell were the Packers ever favorite for this? They look like the Bears … worse even. Tales of Manning’s demise were very premature.

    • willbest

Because up until this week the Broncos haven’t had an offense.

    • AlbertInTucson

Because, apparently, and if I may paraphrase Mark Twain, rumors of Peyton Manning’s demise have been highly exaggerated.

      Also Drew Brees’.

      • BerwynBomber

Brees and Manning are a little different stories, though.

Brees is asked to carry his team, and actually wasn’t even playing God awful until today

Manning is NOT asked to carry his team and was God awful until today.

        • AlbertInTucson

Yes but rumors were flying about about his shoulder be bad.

    • willbest

Drew Brees threw as many TD passes today (7) than Peyton Manning has in 7 games

    • AlbertInTucson

Also keep in mind, the Betting Line is base on where the money goes and where the bookies WANT the money to go.

  • AlbertInTucson

This is 3 straight games Mr. Rodgers has been a mere mortal.

I’m sure he can’t WAIT for Thanksgiving night.

    • willbest

I am less optimistic than you

      • AlbertInTucson

You may have mis-interpreted my post.

I was referring to the cat that he would look very much forward to a game against the Bears’ secondary.

  • madscout12

Vadgers on the sideline pouting while his team is on the field. I doubt his leadership ability. I doubt that he is a competitor. He doesn’t even care.

  • willbest

Ah the backup QB… that was the icing on the cake.

    • AlbertInTucson

Can you say “Raise The White Flag” boys and girls?

  • AlbertInTucson

A second straight 500 yard game for the Green Bay defense.

  • AlbertInTucson

So, I get ZERO from Mr. Rodgers for my fantasy team but still win.

Thank you, Odell Beckham and Justin Tucker!

    • AlbertInTucson

Who says the Football Gods have no sense of humor?

  • BerwynBomber

Statement game from DEN. That D is the real deal/best in the league stuff. Manning looked much better but it is only one game. We will see if he and Kubiak have truly turned it around. Still, they are definitely the second best team in the league. And the Nov. 29 showdown w/ the Pats will be the game of the year.

Cheese’s D was a paper tiger. And Rodgers has looked mortal the last few weeks.

    • BearDown100393

Manning will tank when the weather is cold. And winter is coming very soon for Denver.

      • AlbertInTucson

A definite concern for mile-high fans.

        • BearDown100393

Mile high zealots are inbreds who drunkenly migrated west of Green Bay by accident.

          • MB30SD

            I like this.

    • BillW

Now we have to see if any nfc team can beat them. . Looks like Rodgers stays on the same number of rings as dilfer and Doug williams

      • BerwynBomber

CAR could be the best team in the NFC. But we will see next week. Either way, can’t see either CAR or GB beating NE or DEN. (Still think AZ has the most well-rounded team in the NFC.)

That score could have been 35-0 tonight in terms of how close it actually was.

        • Irish Sweetness

CAR better than Arizona? The Browns had 5 takeaways against the Cards and still lost. Haven’t seen the Panthers play though.

          • BerwynBomber

Yeah, I tend to think AZ is the best team in the NFC too. Was just giving CAR a nod for being the only NFC undefeated.

    • Here’s who GB’s defense had gone up against prior to facing Denver (who in and of themselves doesn’t have a good offense):

Chicago-who moved the ball on will and scored on 75% of drives. Only good thing GB did in this game was force FGs. (28th in PPG, though that’s heavily influenced by Clausen)
      Seattle-terrible O (18th in PPG)
      KC-terrible O (21st in PPG)
      SF-terrible O (32nd in PPG)
      STL-terrible O (31st in PPG)
SD-decent O, they again moved the ball a ton but struggled to finish drives (11th in PPG)

They play Carolina next week, who will be the first top 10 scoring offense they’ve faced this year. Then don’t play another one until Oakland and Arizona weeks 16 and 17.

      • Irish Sweetness

KC are 12th in PPG FWIW.

I heard much of Manning’s decline and the lack of a Denver offense … but all I saw was a superbowl contender whip the Packers.

    • Irish Sweetness

Surely the Broncos defense is a different animal to the Pats defense ? GB had nowhere to go in that game.
