Preseason Opening Day Game Thread & Twitter Fan Responses

| August 8th, 2014

x

I posed a simple question to DaBearsBlog’s followers on the Tweet machine. What do you, as a Bears fan, hope to see during Bears 1st preseason game tomorrow night?

My favorite answer came from @sjaskovi:

I hope to see none of the starters.

But while I have begun notorious for my preseason cynicism I will admit the Bears do need to see SOMETHING over the course of this preseason.

(1) They need to see a backup quarterback emerge from the Jordan Palmer v Jimmy Clausen competition. Anytime either man is on the field this August I think every Bears fan should be paying awfully close attention.

(2) They need to see the ball long-snapped to their punter and holder accurately. This is the only “starter” I want to see in all four preseason games.

I disagree with the assessment that anything happening defensive tonight has any relevance but here are some more responses I liked.

@Sandreamy:

who lines up on various special teams units to get clues who will fill out the back end of the roster.

@bhugheski:

Something that resembles an NFL safety wearing a blue jersey. Two would be even better.

@Perno:

I want to see Jordan Lynch make a run for RB2.
@jfinger2011:

really interested in seeing all the young linebackers play and see who stands out the most and plays the run well

Enjoy the game. Thoughts, as always, will be posted by morning. Here’s hoping every player walks off the field healthy. Nothing, and I mean nothing else, ACTUALLY matters.

    • Bobby Douglass

Early bird is then healthy. Much like I hope all the Bears come out of the game.

      • MB30SD

I have to let you know that every time I see you now I am holding myself back from making an AOL joke. YOU did this to me!!! SMH.

        • Bobby Douglass

I can take it when I know it’s a joke. Feel free to heckle.

          • MB30SD

            Ok, just one then: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/email_address

            (it’s not really a joke)

          • CanadaBear

I’m with you Bobby. I can take a tremendous beat down if I know they are joking. If I think they’re serious, I’m a little less jovial. I always maintain people like you if they are teasing you. If they don’t like you, they don’t talk to you.

    • MB30SD

      Fucking Viva.

Where the fuck has the early bird been all off season?! Is this a fairweather early bird!? VIVA!

Speaking of worms, has anybody here ever had pin worms?

      • MB30SD

gross… what you really don’t want is botfly larvae or a guinea worm. nasty.

  • I’m internet famous! Good point on longsnapping. Let’s see Paddy O’Donnell boom a punt or two also. Based on what I heard on Mully & Hanley this morning on the radio, I think it would be good for Shea McClellin to make a big play for his confidence. Even if it happens in the late 2nd quarter or beginning of the 3rd against scrubs. He just needs to know that he can do it.

    • MB30SD

  • CanadaBear

    Love the sign in Philly.

I should probably stop reading Jeff’s twitter feed on the blog. First it was all the soccer stuff. I can at least respect those guys for their athleticism (certainly not for their diving). Jeff’s tweets on golf make me laugh. I have to confess I played golf at a miserable level for 18 years (from 10-28). I’ve played twice since due to obligations at work. I’ve never seen a sport where everything, and I mean everything, has to be perfect or else it’s the end of the world. Now it’s a tragedy because it’s raining. Really? Grow a pair and get your ass out there. The response is always, it’s too dangerous due to lightning and the crowds won’t show up. Guess what, bike racing goes on in the rain and it’s one hell of a lot more dangerous than walking around a perfectly manicured lawn. Not to mention, the fans show up when it’s raining. When someone is ready to hit the ball, everyone has to remain perfectly silent or else the guy can’t seem to hit the ball that’s just lying there. News flash, baseball players hit a ball moving at 90+ mph with thousands of fans screaming their heads off. I’ve heard ever rebuttal by golfers but it just doesn’t wash. It’s such an elitist sport at a certain level. Fuck I hate golf.

    • MB30SD

agree 100% with you, BUT… would much rather be rolling on 2 rubber tires than standing grounded on earth holding a lightning rod.

That said, golf is a hobby, not a sport (and it still sucks).

      • CanadaBear

I totally get playing golf, esp if you are half-way decent at it. I don’t get all the hoopla around the tourneys and all the pampered princesses.

        • MB30SD

yeah, it just takes a whole day, is insanely hard AND frustrating, is also expensive, can destroy your back, and isn’t a real sport.

          • CanadaBear

Once I started bike riding a lot I had to give up some things to make more time for biking. Golf was the first to go. Second was fishing. Still like fishing but rarely make time for it.

          • MB30SD

love fishing, but get wicked seasick so do mostly shore/beach stuff now. Still fun.

          • Sactowns#1

Seriously. Oh and most good golf courses are located where its miserable 80% of the year. Oh can I please play Palm Springs mid summer! South Carolina where its 90 out with 95% humidity. Why not? Arizona in the spring is nice, if you like 100. And for that luxury you can pay $100 for them to keep the grass green.
I have a few buddies that are really into golf and I just dont get it. It’s hot, it’s slow, there are zero chicks around. I’d rather go kayaking on the river, or chill on a friends boat any day.

          • CanadaBear

Couldn’t possibly agree more. Nothing against anyone that likes playing or watching it. My bike riding buddy for the last 25 years loves golf. I can’t remember what it cost to play Pebble Beach but I think it was $400-$500. YIKES!

          • MB30SD

exactly. although you can pretty play here year round… but it’s still golf.

      • CanadaBear

Not sure those rubber tires are much protection if lightning hits anywhere close by. One of the members of the bike club got hit by lightning and it blew his balls off. At least he lived to tell about it. Fortunately for him he was in his mid-60’s when it happened so I’m guessing his balls weren’t in constant use!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • MB30SD

          wtf?!?!?!

what kind of cruel fucking joke is that mothernature!!! you are a cruel and mysterious mistress indeed.

          • CanadaBear

Yeah, he was a dentist and came to a monthly bike club meeting. He was wearing a gold chain and cross when he got hit. It melted it into his skin. You could clearly see the outline in scars. It fused all his clothes together that were in his panniers and knocked all his clothes off. A nurse was driving behind him when it happened. She asked him if he was OK and he said he was fine. He had fallen off his bike before and if she would help him up he’d be on his way. When she told him what happened, he looked down and saw he was buck naked. The next thing he remembered was in the hospital. Crazy story. It was in Bicycling magazine years ago.

          • MB30SD

            wow… crazy. scary stuff.

          • Trac

You know whats scarier MB? Kate Upton with a hairy set of balls. Hee hee. Can you picture it pal?

          • MB30SD

I’d send her out into a lightning storm riding a bike trac.

      • Bobby Douglass

Golfing in the rain? Use a 1-iron. Not even God can hit those.

Not bad but MY super food is Kale. My son and I are gonna try to pull off a kale juice fast all day on Monday.

      • MB30SD

i can’t eat that shit… disgusting. it’s always so hard and thick (that’s what she always says). Nasty stuff… but, yeah, really good for you.

I read that watercress is THE most nutrient dense and good for you veggie on the planet. Watercress!?!? Weird.

        • CanadaBear

Cantaloupe is one of the best fruits you can eat.

          • MB30SD

mmmmmm… cantaloupe (pronounced: ‘can’t-a-loopy’ with my kids). Mangos, pineapple, and good crisp apples also top my list. Aside from some of the exotics like passion fruit, guava, lychee, and star fruit.

          • CanadaBear

I have at least 3-5 pieces of fruit per day. Great natural anti-oxidant.

          • MB30SD

helps you shit too. Just watch out for the sugar intake. Your body doesn’t know the diff between that and a couple candy bars

          • tobijohn

I try to have at least a dozen cookies, six donuts or one quart of ice cream a day. A world devoid of those is, well, a world I wouldn’t want to live in…

          • CanadaBear

If you keep that up your guitars will be straight out front like B.B. back in the day.

          • tobijohn

Believe it or not, my cholesterol is spot on, I’m still able to stay under 200lbs and I’m several inches taller than Biggsy (6′-3″)…

          • CanadaBear

WOW! Good for you. You’ve got a foot and a bit on me! If I ate that stuff that often I’d be even fatter than ever. Glad you’ve got a good metabolism.

        • burntorangenavyblue

If you use kale in soups like sinagang or munudo (sp), filipino-type dishes, it’s amazing! Love it when my wife makes that stuff.

      • For your consideration….

Trac, I wilt the kale in hot water in a pan or something. Then just blend it into a glass of fruit juice or a smoothie and just pound it down. Kale is so bitter but in a large glass of water and some fruit juice I can slam it like a 20yr old slams a shitty Coors light

        • I’m just hearing about kale. What are some of its benefits?

Also, anyone else have power/protein shakes in the morning? What do you guys recommend.

I basically just want something that gives me the vitamins, nutrients I need, and some extra energy without tasting like shoes.

          • MB30SD

            you’re welcome:

            * 1 heaping scoop of this: http://www.puritan.com/natures-best-brand-0146/isopure-zero-carb-whey-protein-isolate-vanilla-083998?scid=3763&cmp=gpl-_-083998&CAWELAID=1782918156&gclid=CPaFisWfhMACFc1_MgodIkUAuQ

            * 2 TBS of laura scutter’s natural creamy low fat peanut butter

            * 1 medium banana

            * about 10 ice cubes (or to taste)

            * Fill with unsweetened vanilla almond milk just till the ice floats

            * Blend till smooth… should be a watery consistency, not a slushy

(You can add strawberries… or any berries… if you’re a pussy)

          • Will this drink make me hate Seinfeld and like fake boobs? If so, it’s not worth it.

Actually, I’m gonna follow Dr.MBs recommendation cuz you’re a health nazi. I mean, who eats lettuce at Buffalo Wings and drinks Mimosa-lights in public bars? (NTTAWWT)

          • MB30SD

You will love it. Tastes so good.

and I do. I also have my toes-nails painted electric blue right now, so there’s that… because I don’ts gives the fucks.

            …diiis one.

          • MB30SD

That russian chick at the end is super strong! Did you see all those gold bars she lifted with ease?

There were 6 of them (plus the diamond studded remote, which we’ll ignore for this exercise). After a quick google search I surmised that those were 400oz gold bars (worth $535,000ish each right now btw)… after a quick oz to lbs conversion, each of those bars is 25 lbs. Thus…

            That tray is: 6 X 25 lbs = 150 LBS

My kind of chick… super hot… with superfuckinghuman strength! monkeystrength, she haz it.

          • For your consideration….

            add Cruzan for the weekend.

          • MB30SD

of course… then the berries are ok.

          • For your consideration….

From Wikipedia: Kale is very high in beta carotene, vitamin K, vitamin C,rich in calcium,a source of two carotenoids, lutein and zeaxanthin, contains sulforaphane a chemical with potent anti-cancer properties. Kale is also a source of indole-3-carbinol, a chemical which boosts DNA repair in cells and appears to block the growth of cancer cells.[9][10] Kale has been found to contain a group of resins known as bile acid sequestrants, which have been shown to lower cholesterol and decrease absorption of dietary fat. Steaming significantly increases these bile acid binding properties.[11]
pretty much the Marshall/Jefferey of vegetables.

          • MB30SD

Uhhhhgggg… fuck. Have to try this shit again. My one buddy swears by it, but it’s basically like super green lettuce on steroids. Just so think and tough. stuff is nasty.

          • For your consideration….

wilt that shit in hot water and throw it in your Ninja/Vitamix and it disappears like it never happened. Boom.

          • MB30SD

            I DO have a ninja!!

I’ve tried mainj. I have a real juicer actually. The grass/leaves/bark taste makes me want to puke every time. I’ve tried everything. Just hate it and it overpowers any other flavors you try to add to mask it (carrots, pear, apples, etc… etc…)… like people who hate olives or cilantro.

My ex loved those green drink things. So fucking nasty. Just cain’t

          • CanadaBear

When I used to lift weights a loooooooong time ago, we always added a little powdered dream whip to kill the taste and give a little sugar boost. Not exactly scientific but at least the stuff didn’t taste like ass.

        • MB30SD

          fucking disgusting.

Mmmmmm… cooooorrrsss liiiiight. The Silver Bullet was the beer of choice in college. Like drinking beer-flavored fizzy water. But it did the trick.

          • For your consideration….

Heard some dude on Mully and Hanley this morning from a site called Prediction Machine. They supposedly do 50 simulations of each game. His machine said the Bears will have 7.2 wins this year on average. The only road game the Bears are favored in is at Jets. It has the Bears taking 4th place in the division. I’m not sure if this guy is on crack or what. The only defensive player they had graded out as better than average is Lamar Houston. They had the Bears defense rated at the 28-30th ranked defense going into the season.

I’m a little concerned about the defense too, but not doom and gloom like this guy was. Jennings, Tillman, Briggs, and Allen are all just average? Give me a break.

    • MB30SD

That guy is just…. the worst.

Since launching in January 2010, this technology is over 60% against-the-spread with NFL Locks of the Week (52-32 ATS), 55% ATS (551-442 ATS) picking all NFL games, and over 60% ATS and Over/Under (50-33 ATS and O/U) with highlighted NFL picks all-time with greater than 60% confidence. Last season, picking every NFL game, the Predictalator hit 57.4% ATS, then went 9-1-1 (90% ATS) in the postseason. And finally, the Predictalator is now 35-9 against-the-spreadin NFL playoff games. Check out the Shop now to learn more.

      They call it the Predictilator.

Sounds like a thing you plug in that grabs your shaft and beats you off. Instead it grabs your pocketbook and gives that a good shake.

I’d really really really love it if the FTC dropped the hammer on these guys and asked them to prove they made those picks ahead of game time and can prove being a full 8% over even across an entire season ATS. That would be over 2 standard deviations from that sample size if I did my math right.

I propose Data, that you and I start a website with some craptastic data modelling making and a catchy name – I like ‘Crystal Brass Ball Machine’ – and sell inveterate gamblers that crawl the AM sports dial at that hour into $9.99/mo. subscriptions. We could be millionaires..

Can you believe this nonsense? The NFL wants $20 to watch preseason games on your tablet or PC. Of course, you do have access to the archives, so if you want to go back and see how the Jaguars did in Pre-2, you can. Then again, they do have that big concussion payout looming over the horizon:

What you can’t see are three more guitars and another tube amp. I’ve got a Telecaster and another Les Paul on the way. I’m out of control!

        • Cormonster

One of my best friends grew up on a huge ass farm in the middle of North Dakota. Back in the 50’s or early 60’s, his Dad (quite an amazing guy) traded a car for a guitar and amp with his brother in law. Many years later, he took it to a guitar shop to get appraised. Turns out it was a pre-CBS 1952 blonde Fender
Telecaster with a black pick guard with matching (same year) tube type
Fender amp. Some time in the early 70’s word got around about this guitar. Clapton’s road manager either called or stopped by and offered $6,000 cash on the spot. LaVern passed. Fast forward about 2 decades and a guy stopped out to the farm and offered to buy it on the spot. He sold the pair for 25,000 in cash with his 44magnum in his
pocket the whole time(after he showed it to him) in case the buyer was
trying to rip him off. LA Wolf is a cowboy baby.

          • tobijohn

Great story. It’s amazing what those vintage guitars are going for. I heard Slash paid high six figures for one of them…

          • Cormonster

That is crazy, but if you can’t duplicate the sound just right, I guess it’s worth it for some of those guys. I posted this once before. If you haven’t seen it, the first 5:45 minutes is going over all the other equipment, and from then on it’s just going over the guitars. Some beauties in the group. The last one is extremely rare.

  • GPLDAN

    Quick thought –

As we enjoy the beginning of a new Bears season tonight, remind yourself that tonight, in the hills of eastern Syria and the provinces of northwest Iraq there are U.S. operators in the mountains. Directing airstrikes and doing LRRP. They’ve probably been out there a week or more, living on what’s the rucksack as water and MRE.

I don’t know if giving the ISIS assholes some GRU dinner is going to accomplish anything geopolitically, but I do know that as I stuff a pringle into my mouth watching Jordan Palmer do something approximating running, there are guys out there with 80lb. packs on marching miles in darkness hoping not to get spotted and we ought appreciate that.

  • GPLDAN

Oh btw, Schotty’s kid – I can’t remember his first name, so much NFL nepotism – I’ll call him Jimmy or Brian or Marty Junior – he’s the Rams DC now for Fisher.

He said Aaron Donald was a lock for ROTY.

I guess the kid is tearing it up in camp.

    • For your consideration….

yes, my brother in law is from St. Louis and the report from his guys is that Donald is fucking intense. Gregg Williams was asked about what it is like to watch Donald lift weights. The response…. “Scary”.

      • I was crushed when he went 13th. Didn’t think he’d last til 14 before the draft, then I thought there was a chance. Got my hopes up and bam

2nd round, get Sutton, or trade down in the 2nd, get a 4rth a later 3rd, still get Sutton and maybe another S in the fourth.

  • Just turned on NFL Net. Replay of Pats-v-Skins. It’s Skins are up 23-0 late in the 4rth.

    Perspective.

  • beninnorcal

Any pirates around here gonna post a link to the game?

    • Cormonster

First row sports usually has the game.

      • beninnorcal

Thanx Cor, I ponied up for NFL Preseason pass. I’m a sucker.

  • bearsfantillend

I hate FOX – no picture for the game just lame as announcers voices.

  • Trac

Looks like the Bears are going with starters for the entire first quarter.

  • Trac

Zack Miller just caught a TD from Cutty. Oh and for you guys worried about Bennett, Miller is a damn good TE.

    • Shady

Beautiful back shoulder throw from Cutty in the middle back of the endzone. Athletic catch from Zack Miller. Who IS this guy?

  • FantuzPhysics

Displaced Bears Fan here. Enjoying a beautiful feed from State College, PA. Eagles broadcasters though.

    • Trac

What’s your take so far in the game?

      • FantuzPhysics

Hard to say. I went to Arizona so I am a big Foles fan, but the Eagles look bad. We look ok on D. Trevor Scott looks like a giant. I’m waiting for Chicken Dinner to show up.

        • Trac

Thanks for feeding the the blind.

  • For your consideration….

Cutty’s passes as crisp as english bed linen.

    • Shady

One overthrow to Weems, but he looked very comfortable in the offense.

      • For your consideration….

and one Weems brutal drop. we need a real number 3. Earl, come home.

  • beninnorcal

When did we get Zach Miller?

    • For your consideration….

different Zach Miller, we’ve have the other one.

  • FantuzPhysics

Zach Miller looking good against their #2’s

    • beninnorcal

That TD was against the 1’s, I believe.

      • FantuzPhysics

I think so. It’s so hard to keep track of these rosters at this point.

  • For your consideration….

    Joe Long cut
    Taylor Boggs cut

  • Shady

Have NOT been impressed with the depth on the O-line. Not giving Palmer a chance to drop back and pass. Kinda reminds me of the offense cira 2007-2008.

  • beninnorcal

Joe Long is struggling, gave up a sack and just held.

  • FantuzPhysics

Our O-Line depth is probably better this year than last. Is Britton still hurt? But yes we haven’t looked great.

    • Shady

The Bears were fortunate to have their starting O-line healthy for the vast majority of the season.

  • beninnorcal

First punt for what’s-his-name was not bad, out to the 50 from the end zone.

    • Shady

I believe the fans at Bourbonnais referred to him as “Mega Punt”.

  • For your consideration….

    De la Puente hurt

    • For your consideration….

      Fuck

    • Shady

He got rolled up on like a motherfucker.

      • For your consideration….

Then it got stuck under the pile

    • For your consideration….

      Knee, he gone

      • Shady

Let’s hope Garza can stay healthy in his 31st year in the league. smfh

    • Fuck, that was De La Puente? Damn.

  • FantuzPhysics

Zach Miller definitely the first half MVP

  • For your consideration….

    4 of 7 linemen hurt

  • Bennett who?
    Miller time.

    • Shady

Looking like Jason Witten out there.

      • Rosario looked sharp too.
TEs looked good, a supposed weakness.
Oline look like dog shit, a supposed strength.

  • We can’t run for shit. That’s why I wanted to draft a battering ram. Hate pussy footing zone blocking. Without a back like Forte, it struggles making holes for RBs.

    • FantuzPhysics

Former Arizona alum….Ka’Deem is very hard to bring down in space. We got a steal in the 4th round. He just needs time and for Palmer to pass the ball off to him.

      • GPLDAN

Jim Miller keeps saying that. Not sure I see it.

        • FantuzPhysics

Not yet. Not with this O-Line.

        • I don’t see it either, and not just tonight. He reminds me of the saying, “Coach, you need a yard, I’ll get you 3! You need 5 yds? I’ll get you 3!” He doesn’t have any explosion or acceleration, so if there’s no hole for him like tonight, he’ll get stuffed.

Carey runs determined though, and he did pick up a block nicely. He can also catch. But I’d rather go with a high upside prospect.

  • beninnorcal

Again I ask: when did w get Zach Miller?

    • FantuzPhysics

      who cares? 2 TDS!!!

  • beninnorcal

So…..about this Miller fella, when’d we get him?

    • Shady

He was waived by the Jags in 2012. Picked up by the Bears on December 30, 2013, Miller was signed to a reserve/future contract.

Jaguars waived/injured TE Zach Miller (calf).
He’ll revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers. A converted quarterback, Miller has always had intriguing pass-catching ability, but simply cannot stay healthy. He landed on injured reserve last October with a shoulder injury, and has also battled knee and foot issues. His time in Jacksonville is likely through.

      • beninnorcal

Thanx Shady, I had no idea he was part of our squad. I know he’s been around for awhile but I liked him at ASU and he seemed pretty good throughout his NFL career. Tonight he looks like he adds depth for sure, barring injuries as you noted.

  • GPLDAN

Could we stop letting Weems return kickoffs? I had enough of running 10 yards into the pile and falling down. How about giving Chris WIlliams a shot.

    • FantuzPhysics

Yes! I want to see Williams.

  • bearsfantillend

    A. Wilson can still lay some wood on his hits

  • Williaaaams!!!

    • 4.3 speed, right? He’s even, he’s leaving…

      • Cormonster

That little shit has some wheels!

    • For your consideration….

Pulled his hammy out for game

    • GPLDAN

      Hammy! oh!

  • Trac

I’m positive Bennett has noticed a certain Zachary Miller catch 2 td’s. He he.

  • Clausen made a Petyon-esque audible there. Showed about as much zip as him too, but got it there.
    Palmer looked like garbage.

  • bearsfantillend

    shit Williams pulled his hammy

  • Is it me, or are the Eagles picking on Hurst?

  • Our special teams are a joke. DeCamillis, you clown.

  • Shady

    The good:
Cutler, Marshall, Alshon, Morgan, Williams, Rosario and obviously Miller.
Ratliff, Young, Paea, Mundy, McManis and Wilson
    RB pass blocking
    O’Donnell and Way punting

    The bad:
    O-Line depth
    Linebacking
    Long snapping
    Special teaming
The poor pass and run protection made it hard to evaluate the QBs and RBs.

    The ugly (injuries):
Brian de la Puente getting rolled up on.
Chris Williams pulling his hamstring after his 70 yard TD reception.

  • Wow. What an INT. From one former CB, to another, Buddy Jesus Thumbs Up!

    • MB30SD

Dude… names man. I got the kids. Who to who what?!?!

  • haha those Eagles are gonna blitz, Clausen audible to counter.

  • Like I said in my Senorice report, he sets up the screen really well.

  • Clausen is really impressing me tonight. He looks like he memorizes the playbook. Making the right audible. That was a look off. Looking left, last minute flung his head and threw it right. Ran when he had to.

    He’s like a young McCown.

    • Shady

Meh, so hard to tell when he goes against the Eagle’s worst stringers. I’d like to see Jordan and Jimmy give it a shot with the ones next week.

      • You can tell by the audibles that he’s comfortable with the playbook, esp for such a short amount of time. You can tell by his run that he has a feel for the pocket. Both of his TD passes were not zooming, but they were where they needed to be.

Gotta remember, he’s also playing with scrubs, so it’s even.

  • bearsfantillend

i am liking the uses of the TE tonight.

  • Cornelius Washington stuff. Where’s our boy Jones?

  • Never Fales coming out throwing bombs lol

    • FantuzPhysics

      Then the pick

      • That was a pretty nice pick by Watkins. Looked like wr miscommunication, but shouldn’t have thrown that I think.

        • FantuzPhysics

          Really athletic pick actually.

        • Shady

          Turrible decision.

  • FantuzPhysics

It will be interesting to see how the depth chart shuffles after this game

  • MB30SD

    linebackers? safeties?

    little help?

    • For your consideration….

Young, Houston, allen going to make safeties look good this year

      • MB30SD

thank you sir. so DeCamillis was actually dogshit. fucken a man. Surprised phil let that shit roll into the next year.

that said, specials take time. It’s probably the toughest unit to get ready in what 2 weeks? Hopefully they get better with time.

    • For your consideration….

      Special teams brutal

    • For your consideration….

First string D line looked good

    • For your consideration….

      TEs looked good

      • MB30SD

i read miller was a beast huh? Better shape your fucking shit up bennett.

        • For your consideration….

MB, he looked athletic and showed toughness, hands and moves after the catch. I want to see more. Rosario also looked good.

          • MB30SD

            awesome. thanks yonny.

  • For your consideration….

Running back is going to be a tough choice.

  • MB30SD

    you’re all welcome.

  • GPLDAN

Josh Morgan does, at this stage, look like the guy who will be worked into the top 3.

Williams can burn, shame his hammy pulled. I wonder how bad.

    • For your consideration….

Morgan is a legit NFL WR and will be making this team. Spurlock had a pretty good game as well. Bellamy looks young and hungry. Little Williams was like looking at Knoxy all over again and it’s a shame that he pulled that hammy.

  • AlbertInTucson

I hope Dean Blandino enjoyed his ride on Jerra’s bus.

    http://www.si.com/nfl/2014/08/07/nfl-official-dean-blandino-jerry-jones-party-bus?xid=aol_home&icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-nb%7Cdl27%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D512946

What are the odds the NFL gets a new VP in Charge of Officiating?

  • For your consideration….

There is something about Michael Ford that intrigues me. There were a couple of times were it looked all bottled up and all of a sudden he gets super low and seems to skim off of the ground for a gain of 4 to 6 yards. It was fucking beautiful. Forte does not do that. Forte is my man but Ford’s tape on some of those runs will be tough to ignore by the coaches…for backup RB of course.
