• MB30SD

dude, incognito is a fucking lunatic. Did you hear the VM he left Martin? My god man.

    • Woottonsfirstsack

Yeah. Needs a job as a dozer driver at the landfill.

    • NewBearInTown

Is there audio of that? I just saw the transcript.

      • Woottonsfirstsack

Probably somewhere on then net, not sure where.

  • Shady

Sitting on 50 below Chucky and Tirico, listen for me yelling trying to get on air. I’ll try yelling ‘bearsblog’ for Bears 1st possesion.

    • MB30SD

ze pearl iz in ze river

    • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

      You should yell, “McDrrrraaagggooo!!!!”

    • Big Mike

@disqus_htiNfozPpy:disqus , I think you need to travel to all away games now.

  • AlbertInTucson

    My expectations; Low.

  • AlbertInTucson

THAT sack HURT, boys and girls.

  • AlbertInTucson

I NEVER want to see my QB land on his throwing should, perpendicular to the turf.

  • AlbertInTucson

    Wow.

  • Woottonsfirstsack

I just heard that because of Rodgers’ injury the entire state of Wisconsin just went on suicide watch.

  • Big Mike

Fuck the packers right in the face

    • Woottonsfirstsack

Don’t be bashful, tell us how you really feel.

  • Trac

Hey all you weak kneed fans throwing in the wa wa towel, what do you think about Da Bears now? That’s what I’m talkin about.

    • Woottonsfirstsack

Not weak kneed, just worried. I’m with ya man!

    • Woottonsfirstsack

And how much $ could you make as a psychiatrist in Wisconsin right now?

    • johnnywad

You have multiple fan personality disorder

      • Trac

Hey, I hate to see fans bow to the cheese no matter what the excuse.

    • SC Dave

Weren’t you one of the first on the “CD is a bust” bandwagon?

      • johnnywad

Our boy Trac is a roller coaster. He didn’t mean it.

      • Trac

Yup. Until last night, that’s what he was. There’s a big difference between that and a collection of posters crying about our Boys traveling to the Cheese Palace and predicting we get our hats handed to us. It was sickening to see.

        • SC Dave

          With you on that, Trac.

          • Big Mike

@disqus_aBvhnhM5g8:disqus @disqus_73Z91otEYO:disqus I am one of those posters that cried about the Bears getting their butts whooped. At no time did I give up hope, I was trying to find the kool-aid. It was found in the posts of the optimists that inhabit this site. Thank you.

Just to be clear, posting about an upcoming butt whooping does not mean giving up. It means sucking it up to face the beat down. I was loud and proud in full Bears gear all day. The negativity was a sort of confession to the believers on the site.

          • Trac

I know Big Mike. Just unabashed hyperbole. Ha ha. It’s all good!

  • Trac

    Touchdown Bears 24-cheese 20

Bears need a take a way. Now.

    • Woottonsfirstsack

  • AlbertInTucson

    Ahhhhhhh.

  • Doc Nitty

We win! We win! The bears wiiiiiiinnnnnn!

  • AlbertInTucson

Do the Bears win if Rodgers doesn’t get hurt?

    Nope.

    Do we care?

    NOPE!

    • Trac

      Oh stop.

  • Barb UMihai Mar

    I knew it !!!

    • Barb UMihai Mar

      No I didn’t…..

  • TheBigCheesy

    SHIT!

    The Bears Still Suck!

    • remember when Josh McCown put up 27 points to beat the Packers?

      • TheBigCheesy

He put up 21 last time, and that was with the Packers Offense controlling the ball much longer. And that was with Lovie Smith calling the shots. So, yeah I’m not really surprised he put up 27.

      • IBNO

You, sir, win a prize. It’s a cheesy poof, but still–it’s a prize.

        • good enough for cartman is good enough for me.

    • Trac

hahahahahaha. It looks like the packers all of a sudden may not even make the playoffs. he he.

    • NewBearInTown

Props to Cheese for showing up when his team loses.
Our backup is better than your backup!
I’ll take the W. See you in a few weeks in Chicago.

      • Scharfinator

Too true, he at least showed up after the loss.

Man, rain is so much more wonderful after a long drought. BEAR DOWn.

    • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

The good news: Pack finally have a run game.
The bad: No more pass game.

      • SC Dave

        Winner, winner, chicken dinner

    • johnnywad

Cheese I gotta hand it to you. You dropped by after the loss. You’re a standup guy. You know, for a cheesdick.

    • 505 Bears

      Discount double check….these nuts!!

  • AlbertInTucson

For those Packer fans who cheered and joked and just had a jolly good time when Cutler got hurt I say…

    Karma’s a BITCH!

  • Trac

The Bears won a must win game to extend post season hopes. This game was HUGE. Damn proud of our guys and Trestman called an awesome game down the stretch.

    • SC Dave

Trestman was our best draft choice in a long time.

  • Big Mike

    Fuck them in the face

  • johnnywad

This was the feeling I was talking about a week ago. Beating them with McCown and Kashim Greene. Yes Rogers was knocked out but shit happens. McCown played as well as any backup can. Shea, Pepp and Wooton showed up. Trestman has balls and brains. That was fun.

    • SC Dave

Damn good summary. It’s balls we finally (since Halas, really) have a coach this is not dumber than most!!

  • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

I TOLD YOU MOFOS WE WERE GOING TO WIN!!!! YEEEHHHAAA 85s UPSET LOCK. GAME. BLOUSES.

  • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

I also predicted a late FG from Gould to effectively end it. And didn’t I say a few weeks back that if McClellin would hurt Rodgers then I’d forgive his suckage?

Well, I forgive thee Box. Your sins are absolved, my son.

  • gpldan

Does this mean I am buying a Chicken Box Dinner jersey for Xmas?

    • johnnywad

If he keeps playing like that I’ll buy you one. And we’d need to send Waffle down to Halas in a taxi van to give Emery an air BJ.

  • johnnywad

Listening to this post game is comical. Trent Dilfer is going to cry

  • gpldan

    http://betaplayer.radio.com/player/670-the-score

Buffone is giddy, sounds like he’s been inhaling helium.

  • SC Dave

I point out that the guy you love to hate saved the season tonight. On a sack in the first quarter. And fittingly, bookended the game on the last play.

Eat fucking, steaming, rancid crow… bitches.

    • johnnywad

Easy there killer. You have some Crow coming your way courtesy of Conte and Wright

      • SC Dave

Conte maybe. I’ve never, ever, defended Wright

        • johnnywad

Fair enough. They both shit the bed tonight. Is there a better option for at least one of them on the bench? Something has to change back there. The pass rush was effective tonight and they still sucked.

  • IBNO

I’d just like to point out for the record that I didn’t PREDICT Rodgers would get hurt, i just said that Bostic putting Rodgers out of the game would pretty much render all the “expert predictions” moot.

But if I have the magic in me, I’d like to predict Bears going 12-4 and winning the Super Bowl over the Broncos, with Cutler throwing only 3 interceptions for the rest of the season.

    • SC Dave

      Works for me

  • IBNO

Wooton must be re-signed this year. The man is flourishing playing inside, and he’s still a quality DE who is getting better.

McClellin used his speed and looked like he came up with a new move or two in his rushing. However Tucker was using him tonight, that should be the game plan from here on.

    • 505 Bears

      Wooten destroyed it!!

    • EnderWiggin

Wootwoot is starting to remind me of Izzy Idonije

  • gpldan

Things I am most impressed with: coaching, basically

With Dinner – they COACHED him to just always take the upfield route, go right PAST the QB – it’s no matter because then you are behind him and Shae can then use his favorite spin move or if the QB gets spooked and runs, Shae can catch him. They COACHED his weakness (no bull rush, too small) into his strength. He’s faster than many linebackers, even OLBs, and Rodgers found out how quick he is.

I’m still reminding everyone that Chandler Jones is leading the league with 7.5 sacks this season, but the 3 that Shae got tonight makes up for a lot. He’d make a nice…. 3-4 OLB – which is what he was at Boise.

I can’t say enough nice things about McCown. Man, did he impress the hell out of me. When Marshall catches that first TD, I was at a bar and everybody is yelling great catch, etc – and I was like “McCown shook the sack off and then threw it with zero hesitation.” Is his release what Cutler’s is? No. He winds up big, but he doesn’t make the bad throw and he was looking safeties off.

Forte played huge, he’s such a weapon as a single back in that split formation. Wow. And the OL, they stoned the Pack rush, McCown had all day to sit in there save for a few dialed up blitzes. And when they did come, McCown was ready. 442 of offense. 90.7 QB rating tonight. 6/14 on 3rd down. Man, I will take that.

    • IBNO

I’m really happy for McCown. Did you hear that he teared up during a post-game interview? The man got his one game, his one chance that every kid dreams of. Yeah, he’s been in the league a while, and started games before, but this might have been his last game as a starter, and he made the most of it.

And he beat his team’s most important rival in their own stadium. Not a bad night’s work.

      • gpldan

McCown in 30 years will be coaching some high school somewhere, and people will still be talking about this game. The night the overlooked journeyman went into Lambeau and was bigger than the moment.

Fun fact: McCown and Rich Gannon both wear #12

  • 505 Bears

I hate anyone got hurt, even Rodgers, but Chicken Dinner finally paid off!!

  • gpldan

I’m glad it didn’t matter, but Major Wright was an embarrassment tonight. TWICE, he telegraphs his blitz, comes up into the box early and then SLIPS AND FALLS when the ball is snapped.

Conte also, continues to take HORRIBLE angles and they just forgot that and put him one high the whole 2nd half.

    • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

Yeah, we got away with BAD safety play. MB must have been losing it.

I’m not sure how they could have digressed so much.

The pass rush was decent tonight, so you can’t blame that. They just look poorly coached with no instincts. Bad angles, bad positioning, bad tackling, bad awareness. Just bad all around.

    • SC Dave

I was appalled at that angle on Starkes’ TD. What the fuck happened to the guy that three out of four took down AP solo in the open field?!?

      Damnit, Chris

  • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

Play of the game: 4rth and inches. Toss sweep to the left pulling the C.

7 mins later, a fg which leaves the Pack with no TOs and 48 seconds to go down the field and score a TD w/a backup QB.

BALLS. I was literally yelling at the TV to go for it. Does anyone doubt the Lovie would have punted it, then played prevent, and lost this game?

Instead, we’re 5-3, tied atop the division, with the Meows at home next week. What a great football week for me. 3-0 in FF. Bears upset Pack at their house. I think I’m going to go buy some lottery tickets and tweet Kate Upton later on.

    • gpldan

That phantom hold on the Unicorn to stop the clock and give the Pack a chance to regroup was the ultimate homer call. Ultimate Lambeau call. I was stunned by it, the brazen obviousness of calling a phantom hold to try and make a game of it.

      • Big Mike

WTF was that call? There wasn’t anything close to a hold.,.. SMH

    • SC Dave

Play of the game so obviously – Shea puts Rodgers down on the sack and he spends the rest of the night on the sideline. There is NO WAY IN HELL the Bears win without that. McClellin saves the season, as simple as that.

    • Big Mike

Pulling the Center was fantastic, but what made the play was the entire blocking effort. Slauson pile drove Raji, so Garza could pull, there was a kick out block on the outside.. just awesome play. Big nuts to go for it.

Lovie and most coaches punt in that situation.

  • 505 Bears

Where is that Big Cheese bastard? I might go troll on their blog just to rub it in..haha, no..No trolling

    • SC Dave

He came back, to his credit. Read above

  • 505 Bears

And what is damn stupid/funny..NFL network gives us no love. Just Rodgers talk and not about the Bears winning……Boycott ESPN/NFL!!!

  • 505 Bears

    FYI, Conte still sucks

    • SC Dave

Wright is the one that truly sucks.

      • MB30SD

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me dude. Seriously. Holy shit dave. Holy. fucking. shit.

        • Big Mike

Not to be Debbie Downer, @MB30SD:disqus “The play of the Bears safeties continues to be an issue. Major Wright
has had a rough season, but bottomed out against the Packers. Wright was
poor in his disguises (dropping from a two-high safety look to a box
defender), was frequently in the wrong gap, and his tackling
fundamentals continue to lead to big plays”

  • MikeBrownhadaPosse

Fucking SAID we were winning tonight. And fuck Rodgers right between his googly eyeballs. And next week when we kick the shit out of the lions at home, I’ll be there. Any requests for the sign?

    • Cormonster

How about “I love guns and rich people”? jk. Have fun at the game.

  • gpldan

Right now Shady is in the back of a van in Lambeau’s parking lot, giving double penetration to the Cheesehead twins using foam fingers and body parts. Van smells vaguely of Axe body spray and kielbasa and Miller Lite and Shady is yelling “It’s a game of inches! It’s a game of inches!”

Just a little late night visual there for you. Happy travels, Shady.

    • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

Shady’s double-checking the fuck out of them!

  • gpldan

    Rodgers has fractured collarbone.

wootensfirstsack is going to need a new avatar.

    • MikeBrownhadaPosse

      CD done good.

      • MikeBrownhadaPosse

And gee, hard to win in the NFL with your backup…wait, hard to win on the road at…wait. can’t wait for the packer excuses to flow.

  • MikeBrownhadaPosse

That throw by McCown under pressure for a TD to Marshall was quite possibly the most clutch pass by a bears qb this decade. That was not the throw of a weak armed back up who is 34 and barely clinging to an NFL existence. That was the throw of a man possessed by the ghosts of quarterbacks past. Luckman, McMahon, McCown. Way to be in the moment and own it. Good fucking night to be a bears fan.

  • 505 Bears

Um, so Cuter may be back next week. Thoughts?

    • gpldan

This is called the “Bledsoe Doctrine”. You don’t pull McCown now. You let him play it out, you let Cutler suit up and be ready and you tell him he’ll get his job back when he’s going full speed in scrimmage. If McCown plays like this again, you tell Cutler’s agent you want to ride this out.

      • 505 Bears

It will be an interesting week. Hell McClutch has plaid damn good, so do we bench him? Why can’t we morph McCown’s pocket presence with Cutler’s arm into one bad ass QB?!

    • AlbertInTucson

McCown’s performances notwithstanding, I’d give Cutty’s groin another week. They, like hammys, do NOT like to be rushed.

  • gpldan

Khaseem Greene didn’t make anybody forget Lance Briggs, but he at least got Eddie Lacy to the ground when he got his mitts on him.

  • MikeBrownhadaPosse

Big balls on the nerdy head coach for that 4th down call. Lovie never would have done that at lambeau under the same circumstances. And I’m LOVING Josh Mccown and his post game interviews.

  • gpldan

The Pack gassed Paea, Dude has a motor but he’s small vs. the big hogs. To the Bears credit, they saw it but they spelled him on series with Tatoufu. Cohen was a non factor.

  • BerwynBomber

    The two most obvious observations:
    1) McClellin made the biggest play of his professional career
    2) The difference between a good back-up QB and a below average one was on national display
Also, our WRs are capable to adjusting to a back-up more than theirs. Marshall and Forte had huge games. And their D looks as shaky as ours.
The division is up for grabs.

  • AlbertInTucson

CSN Chicago’s “Bears Report” is say there are unconfirmed reports of a broken collarbone for Rodgers.

    • BerwynBomber

They’re in trouble. Seneca Wallace looked a little Caleb Hanie back there.

    • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

They’ll sign either Vince Young (yes that Vince Young) or Matt Flynn.

  • MikeBrownhadaPosse

    Disqus btw, is awesome.

  • Waffle

I am excited that the Bears won as I knew that with our weapons anything can happen. The return of Pep is complete and Shea stepped up.

However, based on the absolute fucking lunacy that i’m already hearing in every news outlet about our quarterback situation I will be stepping back from the blog. It’s just not worth the fights.

    I’ve already heard:

    1. get rid of Cutler, sign McCown and draft a first round quarterback. (don’t worry about the d line you fucking laborer mouthbreather motherfucker)

    2. Sit Cutler and make McCown the starter even if Jay is healthy.

    3. Cutler is overrated and we should let him go, sign McCown.

    4. McCown is better than Cutler because McCown is a leader and Cutler is not.

    5. “McCown is positive on the sidelines and Jay is “always” pushing teammates and pouting.

I’m done because it’s just going to get worse. I’ll see you guys closer to Sunday.

    Lions fucking dead.

    • AlbertInTucson

Relax. People say the darndest things during an adrenelin rush.

  • AlbertInTucson

If you watch the replay, McClellin AND Frey both wind up landing on Rodgers on at the end of that sack. That’s about 470+ pounds or so?

  • AlbertInTucson

Shea McClellin. Let’s see you do it again THIS Sunday!

  • AlbertInTucson

And now, a word from our (or so pleasantly surprised) sponsor…

Da Bears grated the Cheese tonight…

…it feels “grate” to be a winner!

And the guys who took the biggest bite…

…were Josh McCown and “Chicken Dinner”!

    Burma-Shave

  • AlbertInTucson

Let’s not forget The Unicorn’s effort on that 3rd down catch to make 4th down close enough to take a shot.

  • AlbertInTucson

A Bears offense successfully running the “NINE MINUTE DRILL” ? Stunning.

    • MikeBrownhadaPosse

I remember being happy when we’d convert a 3rd and short. This is so weird.

    • BerwynBomber

Indeed, one helluva drive. Heard Jim Miller said this was the Bears finest offensive performance of the season. Hard to argue. And the D-Line with five sacks and Pepper shows signs of his former self.
Gotta believe Buck and Aikman will call the Lions game. NFC game of the week, I presume.

  • AlbertInTucson

I am sooo going to enjoy listening to Wayne Larivee and his boys call of this game. ESPECIALLY that last Bears’ drive.

  • AlbertInTucson

The Packer broadcast crew did not even realize Rodgers was injured until after the 2nd play of the Bears’ first drive.

  • AlbertInTucson

Wayne Larivee on the Packers’ broadcast just after the Bears’ 2nd TD: “The Chicago offensive line performing UNLIKE any Bears’ line we have seen in recent memory. They have been solid in pass protection and they just carved up the middle of the Green Bay defense on that goal line run.”

    • 4ever85 (AKA Butch Deadlift)

The o-line played the best game of the year. It was unbelievable how much time McCown had in the pocket. He had the time to go through his progressions and seemingly always made the right read.

The few times the pocket broke down he made off-kiltered throws, staying in there and taking the hit. Guts, intelligence, mobility, leadership, accuracy. Great combination.

  • AlbertInTucson

The end of the 4th quarter drive was terrific, but let’s not forget the one to end the first half that started on their own 1 and produced a critical 3 points.

  • BerwynBomber

Btw, McClutch getting a little verklempt during his post-game/on-field interview with Lisa Salter was pretty cool. One heckuva journey for a dude like that. Probably feels it was his own personal SB. One to cherish into old age.

    • AlbertInTucson

He was more composed when he joined the post game crew. He came across as very modest and the ultimate team-player.

      • BerwynBomber

Agreed. And I didn’t mean to insinuate he was being selfish; in fact, he even said, “this is Jay’s team and we can’t wait to get him back.” But has to be the win of a lifetime for the dude. Can’t say I’m entirely shocked by his performance. To me he looked pretty dang impressive when they plucked him out of semi-retirement at the end of the 2011 season.
I also think Jason Campbell wasn’t that bad; we just overpaid for him and he came into the ultimate beatdown game out at SF. Credit the Bears’ FO for prioritizing the QB back-up position after the Hanie train wreck.

        • AlbertInTucson

Didn’t me to imply you were being critical. Can you IMAGINE the adrenelin rush he had to be experiencing?

        • bearsfantillend

McCown’s mobility was the key for him looking in impressive back in 2011.
In regards to Campbell, I think it had more to do with the Coaching Staff and the craptastic oline than his abilities. he’s been doing pretty good for Cleveland since he has been given a shot with a decent OC and Oline.

I am no way knocking McCown, but the O-LINES performance tonight made all the difference. running lanes, pass protection was all a thing of beauty.

It is just nice to see a Pocket for the QB to stand in. The last several years, I believed that the Pocket was a Fantasy land, an ancient myth spoke of by the elders, or a Mythical figure like Santa Clause. I am a believer now. It does exist, now I wander if there are other things i should start believing in. Easter Bunny, Aliens, leprechauns, the female orgasm, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!

  • AlbertInTucson

NICE to see Michael Bush contribute. When he lowered the boom on A.J. Hawk at the end of that check-down reception during the drive to end the half he really fired up the Bear sideline. Hawk, BTW, was being BARBEQUED on the Packer blog on the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal.

    • BerwynBomber

Hawk has always been semi-bust material. I think he went something like 5th overall in the draft when he came out. I remember being mildly surprised the Curds chose to keep him over Woodson when it came to contracts last summer. Woodson obviously only has a year or two left, but I’m sure GB could have resigned him for cheap and moved him to FS. Hawk seems like a cut-your-losses guy, especially when you have a relatively deep LB core, which GB purportedly does.

      • MikeBrownhadaPosse

        Did…

  • AlbertInTucson

Larivee as the half ends: “Chicago leads it 17 to 10 in a DISTURBING 1st half.”

  • AlbertInTucson

James Anderson will be seeing that pass that went thru hands in the 3rd quarter for the rest of his life. HOW did he miss that?

  • AlbertInTucson

Larivee after the Packers incomplete pass on 3rd down in the Bears endzone leading to the Packers final 3 points: “He was well-covered by Conte”. Don’t hear THAT very often, do we?

    • bearsfantillend

even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

  • AlbertInTucson

    3rd Down efficiency: Bears 6 of 14, plus a huge 1 for 1 on 4th down. Packers 1 of 9.

    • SC Dave

1 of 9… is that really possible?

  • Barb UMihai Mar

They say Trestman is a numbers guy. I don’t think the book said you should go for 4th and 1. Fuck that. Sometimes you have to go with your balls. The fact that he did shows you he can be a great coach. He must show that he can create a big time defense to be a winning coach, though.

    • bearsfantillend

you know if they would not have made the 4th and 1. we would all be vilifying Trestman for going for it on 4th and 1. We would probably be sayin shit like this is the NFL not the CFL, you cant be doing that crap in your own territory with the game on the line.

But we made it so FUCK YEAH Trestman is da man with giant fucking balls.

      • Barb UMihai Mar

I wouldn’t have said that. It was a cojones move for a numbers gay. It shows personality. I would have instead been really pissed if the drive would have stalled after the 4th and 1 because of conservative play calling… in the sense ‘why the fuck did you risk there, if not to shut the game down’.

  • Trac

This morning I felt like a kid waking up on Christmas morning.

  • Big Mike

In my wish list post, having McClellin and Peppers show up was tops. They did. Now I have to post a list wish every week.

Also @disqus_73Z91otEYO:disqus needs to go to every away game.

What a great win. Rookie LBs got experience, Offensive Line was amazing. Forte, M. Bennet, Jefferies, Marshall, Bush, (heretofore referred to as “The Weapons”, made plays.

    Wow.

    • Trac

Actually Big Mike, that was someone else.

      • Big Mike

Well then that guy needs to go. 🙂 Who was it? They posted that they were just below ciricco and some other announcer…

        • Cormonster

          It was Shady.

  • bloomie1937

This says Da Bearss are serous, contender.

    • Big Mike
